May 1, 2015 – At approximately 11:00pm Howe Police Officers

Keith Milks and Jordan Clark arrested a 25-year-old man and 27year-old man (both from Durant, OK) for possessing a quarter of an ounce of cocaine The arrest was the result of a consent search on the 27-year-old’s vehicle which was stopped on US Hwy 75 for a traffic violation Neither suspect admitted knowing the drug was in the vehicle They were booked into the Grayson County Jail for PCS PG 1 > 4g < 200g

April 30 – At approximately 3:00 am, Howe Police Officer Robert Todd arrested a 24-year-old Milton, Wisconsin man for possessing approx 14 grams of methamphetamine. The arrest was a result of a stop on US Hwy 75 for a traffic violation, and a subsequent search based on a canine alert. Along with the methamphetamine, syringes, glass pipe, and a digital scale were recovered The suspect was booked into the Grayson County jail for Man/Delivery of a Controlled Subtsance, PG 1 > 4grams

April 29 – At approx 4:00 pm, Sgt. Michael Hill arrested a 52-year-old Howe resident for public intoxication in the 700 block of W. Haning Street. Sgt. Hill saw the man walking in the middle of the roadway and noticed he was unsteady on his feet Upon speaking with the suspect, Sgt Hill found him to be intoxicated on some sort of medication The suspect was booked into the Grayson County jail

May 8 – Howe Police Officers

Keith Milks and Jordan Clark arrested a 32-year-old Sherman woman for possessing nearly a quarter pound of Methamphetamine after stopping her for a traffic violation on Hwy 75. The arrest was the result of a search of the woman’s vehicle after she admitted having drug paraphernalia in her car. The officers found 3.6 ounces of Methamphetamine in the center console of the vehicle The suspect was booked into the Grayson County jail for Man/Del Controlled Substance PG 1 > 4g

Howe Development Alliance Director Monte Walker spoke to the crowd at Thursday's Hurricane Creek Rotary Club.

Walker talked about the reconstruction of the downtown district as well as the new housing coming to Howe Walker said that the 600 home project in the southern part of the city will allow for more retail opportunities in the future that want to market to that part of the area
