Lady Bulldogs still on the hunt; Area Champions
After spending most of Friday night inside Bowie High School in shelter from a tornado warning, the Howe Lady Bulldogs and Glen Rose Lady Tigers decided to cancel the three game area championship series and opt for the "sudden death" of a onegame series where winner takes all with freshman starting pitcher Torrey Stubblefield toeing the rubber.
Howe, as the visiting team, batted first and accumulated four quick runs thanks to three errors by Glen Rose in the first inning Kayla Anderson drove home the first run of the game with her 15th RBI of the season on a ground out to third Peyton Tinney, who had walked, scored on an error Christina Counts reached base on an error and Stubblefield and Madisyn Hargrove scored on the play

Howe led 4-0 headed to the bottom of the first inning with Stubblefield, who has pitched 68 2 innings this season and struck out 108 batters
