Howe's That by Monte Walker 1,359 miles separate Howe, Texas from Baltimore, Maryland. It seems as if it might as well be half way around the world as we sit in our comfy chairs in our sweet little town who's most confrontation seems to be whether to have the chicken fried steak or the chick fried chicken at Abby's at the noon lunch hour. I really shouldn't, but I giggle at the thought of riots and hate crimes in downtown Howe. And if it ever does happen, I hope it's not on a Monday because we can't have lunch in Van Alstyne - everything is closed on Mondays.

Lady Bulldogs shoot down Bowie for championship Prior to Thursday’s one-game, winner takes all Bi-District Playoff game against the Bowie Lady Rabbits, Lady Bulldogs head coach Adam Rupert was asked what it would take for his Lady Bulldogs to come out on top. “Anything can happen in a one game series and Bowie is a very good team. They play in a very competitive district so you can throw seedings out the window. Should be a fun night!” For the Lady Bulldogs it was a fun night at NCTC Darwin Fields, until the last inning that is. The Lady Bulldogs never trailed in the game and carried a comfortable 9-1 lead into the bottom of the 6th. It quickly got uncomfortable as the Lady Rabbits tallied five total runs in the 6th and 7th innings.
