nature and find the real difficulty that is there. When I was in my twenties I cried out to the Lord and He heard my tears. As I look back to when I was saved I can see the Father drawing me to Jesus Christ and orchestrating every situation that happened in my life to Him
The Holy Spirit is a watchman that hears the cries of the lost and leads them to the true salvation of Jesus
The Holy Spirit seeks the lost, the poor, the humble and the meek then leads them to Jesus the Savior gives much grace and that is why He will resist the proud and give grace to the humble. Pride says, “I’ll do it my way and in my timing and I ‘m not ready for God in my life right now” Humility says, “I’m lost without You, God I’ll do it Your way I believe You are who You say You are and I am who You say I am ” If you have never experienced the wonderful relief of relying on the Lord, I invite you today He is waiting. Cry out to Jesus in your own words, in your own way and He will hear you and deliver you from yourself, your pride, your selfishness and your messy life “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with your whole heart,” Jeremiah 29:13 And the angels will rejoice!

“You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with your whole heart,” Jeremiah 29:13 Christianity is not a religion Religion is when man tries to work his way to God Christianity is God coming to man through Jesus Jesus said, “No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day,” John 6:44 He will raise us from our dead sinful nature and the angels will rejoice. This became a visual to me when our youngest child walked away from me in a mall. I was frantic to find him and at the same time he was crying out to me. When we found each other it was a happy reunion We ran to each other and embraced like we would never let each other go! The onlookers rejoiced!
I asked Jesus into my heart when I was a child visiting my aunt’s church I wasn’t born into a Christian home and my parents didn’t take me to church Life happens and I was quick to forget the safety I felt that day in the arms of my Savior It takes the Almighty, All Knowing God to get down into the depth of a man’s
“Blessed is the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven,” Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth,” Matthew 5:5 “Blessed are those that hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled,” Matthew 5:6. My spirit was poor and I was hungry and thirsty for righteousness. Being hungry is a good thing. There is a certain sense of desperation that accompanies hunger I wanted more than the way I was living I was desperate to be righteous and tired of being self-righteous I desired the righteousness of God in my soul, in my decisions, in my home, in my business, in the way I treated everyone and everything When I ask Jesus to forgive my sins and to be in my life I knew my life would never be the same I knew Jesus was the one I had been missing all my life I knew He cared for me and loved me Now that I recognize His presence and I know He was there from that time as a child when I ask Him to come into my heart. I’d felt Him reaching out to me even before I was a Christian. Jesus always had His eye on me and He touched me with His Spirit when I was alone and desperate and cried out to be found He ran to me and I ran to Him and the angels rejoiced!
James 4:6-8 says that the Lord

"People who are making decisions, which would be our legislatures and administrators have lost touch with what is going on in the classroom and to watch the lightbulb come on whenever a child understands a concept." says Stephens. "Having lost touch, they aren't meeting the needs "
Stephens says that one-on-one learning or much smaller classrooms is the key She says that learning is about learning and not strict testing
"I don't know what happened and why that became the panacea " said Stephens "I often wondered if it was the bottom line of money I'm pretty sure the testing industry is making a pretty good share The poor counselors that have to administrate and follow all of that mess is just sad."
Kingdom Country Academy was selected as the name and is based on Luke 17:21 when Jesus is talking to the Pharisees. "You won't be able to say, 'Here it is!' or 'It's over there!' For the Kingdom of God is already among you."
Stephens says that Howe High School teacher Donna Jarma was a heavy influence on her and that Howe schools served her well because she was able to go on and obtain her masters degree But the changes in the school system in regards to the testing philosophies and the absence of God has made her think twice about the public school system
"In the beginning, the public school paradigm was helpful in the 1900's It was based off of Sunday School " says Stephens "Then from there it's become so secularized and it's become so far

away from reaching the individual needs of the students "
In the 1961 Howe Yearbook called the Spotlight, Howe High School Principal Jack Hollensed included this poem in his message which read, "Four things a man must learn to do,
If we would make his record true, To think without confusion clearly, To love his fellow man sincerely, To act from honest motives purely, To trust in God and Heaven securely"
This came just one year before the Supreme Court prohibited officially sponsored prayer in schools in Engel v. Vitale. A year later, in 1963, Madalyn O'Hair entered American history as becoming known for the Murray v Curlett lawsuit, which led to a landmark Supreme Court ruling ending official Bible-reading in American public schools After she founded the American Atheists and won Murray v Curlett, she achieved attention to the extent that in 1964 Life magazine referred to her as "the most hated woman in America " As far as Christians are concerned, the damage was done
"If we base what God says, he values the family." says Stephens. "Education begins with the family Public school education begins with the school district and the family has to fit in."
Kingdom Country Academy intends to be that educational throwback to public schools from

"The building that we have and the teachers and the subjects, we could be up to 60 " said Stephens "At that point, we'd have to have another building, in which we have access to "
They have eight teachers committed and some include Ed Cox, Robin McCoy, Janet Shaab, Liesl Triplett, Love and Stephens Three of those mentioned have masters degrees. Because they are a private school, they don't have to have set rules of who can and who can't teach so a person with a lot of experience and passion for a subject and a love for kids can teach whether they're certified or not.
"We've had several teachers say that this would be their dream to be able to teach what they love and have God in the equation and not have to worry about it " said Stephens
Stephens' dream is five months away from fruition It took legislatures to ban God and implement testing mechanisms for her reality of a private Christian school to come to light

Continued from Page #5 couple of miscues behind Griffin that let Elysian Fields extend the inning The team with, perhaps, the perfect baseball name could really swing the bat and the extra outs given to them was the difference in the game
"Josh bounced back and competed to finish the game strong, but the one big inning is something we have to work to avoid " said Ognoskie.
The 'Dogs had RBI singes from Josh Griffin, Tyler Grisham, and an RBI groundout by Quinton Harris to score our three runs.
Howe finished the tournament losing to a tremendously talented Van Alstyne team , 5-2.
Ognoskie started Tanner Hartsfield in this game and he went the distance He got himself into trouble early with walks and locating pitches, but bounced back to put zeros on the board over the last three innings
The 'Dpgs turned two more doubleplays in this game to help him out Brennan Ross scored on a Quinton Harris sacrifice fly and Easton Ross scored on a David Crees groundout for the only runs.
The 3-2-1 Howe Bulldogs will take on the S&S Rams at home on Tuesday night at 7:30 pm. The Bulldogs will be looking to move to 2-0 in District 10-3A action Griffin Underwood will take the ball as the starting pitcher.
