"We purchased the sign in an effort to improve our communication with parents and the community, and also to better identify the building from the road " said Wilson "We plan to use the marquee to provide information about upcoming events and recognize our students and staff for various achievements "

High School Principal Michael Smiley said that an individual who wanted to donate the funds to the purchase of a marquee for the high school

"This individual made contact through Mr. Wilson and ask to remain anonymous

The goal from the start of the project was to have a marquee that would not only allow visitors to identify the building easily, but also be a valuable communication tool Wilson worked with Spectrum, a sign manufacture, high school maintenance department, and GCEC to make this happen

"We are looking forward to the completion of the project within the next week, weather permitting " said Smiley "We are extremely grateful to the individual that donated the funds for this project and the positive feedback from the community as a whole." said Smiley
