Howe's That Homecoming is this week so be prepared for decorations and festivities surrounding the town and school. It will be a fun week as Coach Jim Fryar will be in town on Friday to celebrate the 25year anniversary of the 1989 District, Bi-District and Area Champions. The Dallas Cowboys have officially began their season. When Romo is bad, he's really really bad. Let the jokes begin. There are two jobs that every sports fan can do better than the person doing it. It's the play-caller in football and the manager in baseball. Both of those are so easily secondguessed and the second guesser would have always made the "right" call. 101 E. Haning St. is the site of lots of my sweat. Since making the purchase of the historic building, I've knocked 90% of the stucco off of the walls and exposed the original 1898 bricks and original high ceiling. Bids are being collected to upgrade the air-conditioning, bring down the old bead-board ceiling and replace it with corrugated tin.

The circus is coming to Howe this month
