A Republican You Should Know! According to her website, Judge Michelle Slaughter is a constitutional conservative judge and an originalist – much like Justice Clarence Thomas. As a district judge, Judge Slaughter has presided over thousands of felony criminal cases and well over a hundred felony criminal jury trials ranging from state-jail felonies to capital murder cases. She is the only candidate in this race with a proven track record of efficiency, effectiveness, transparency and saving taxpayer dollars.

As a highly-accomplished attorney, Michelle was disgusted at what she saw happening in the 405th District Court. The judge in that court at the time was a liberal, activist judge. The court was the least efficient, least effective court with the highest reversal rate and the highest backlog ( by far) in Galveston County. This was a judge that had been there for 12 years, had been a lifelong prosecutor and a 1st Assistant District Attorney with a lot of criminal experience. On paper, he looked like an excellent judge. But he had the worst track record of any judge in Galveston County.

Beyond her public service as a judge, Judge Slaughter believes in giving back to her community. Judge Slaughter involves herself in community service, especially that which helps the elderly, children, and babies. In addition to serving for three years as Vice President of the Board of Trustees for The Galloway School in Friendswood, a private Christian school, Judge Slaughter is a member of the League City Lion’s Club and volunteers to help cook and serve at their monthly senior citizen breakfasts. Twice a year, Judge Slaughter donates items for and volunteers at the semi-annual Senior Share of Galveston County, Inc. events that help our local senior citizens. She also serves as the annual sponsor for the Galveston County Fair & Rodeo’s Senior Citizens Day. Judge Slaughter is also an advocate, sponsor and volunteer for various organizations and events to assist pregnancy and parenting centers in Galveston County. These are just a few of the many ways that Judge Michelle Slaughter serves and helps her community. Judge Slaughter is committed to helping any way she can, including by donating her hair on several occasions to use in wigs for cancer patients.

T
here’s a lot of talk about a “BLUEWAVE” floating around. But conservatives from all across Texas believe you should get prepared for a “REDSTORM.” And, according to published information, they’ve earned the right to be confident about thier 2018 Midterm Election chances. In case you don’t know, Republicans hold every statewide elected office and majorities in the state senate, state house and on the state board of education. And they also hold majorities in 107 Texas counties that contain nearly two-thirds of the state’s population. But on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, the day when Democratic hopefuls and Republican hopefuls are set to face off, nothing should be taken for granted.
EARLY VOTING PERIOD:
The early voting period will begin on Monday, October 22, 2018, and end on Friday, November 2, 2018 in the State of Texas.

DO YOU KNOW YOUR VOTING RIGHTS?
As a registered voter in Texas, you have the right to: A ballot with written instructions on how to cast a ballot. Ask the polling place official for instructions on how to cast a ballot (but not suggestions on how to vote). Cast your vote in secret and free from intimidation. Receive up to two more ballots if you make a mistake while marking the ballot. Bring an interpreter to assist you as you qualify to vote if you do not understand the English language. Help to cast your ballot if you cannot write, see the ballot, or understand the language in which it is written. Report a possible voting rights abuse to the Secretary of State (1.800.252.8683) or to your local election official. Cast a provisional ballot if your name does not appear on the list of registered voters. (1) Cast a provisional ballot (a) if you do not possess one of the seven (7) acceptable forms of photo identification, which, if you are under 70, is not expired for more than four years, and you can reasonably obtain one of these forms of identification or (b) if you possess, but did not bring to the polling place, one of the seven forms of acceptable photo identification, which, if you are under 70, is not expired for more than four years, or (c) if you do not possess one of the seven forms of acceptable photo identification, which, if you are under 70, is not expired for more than four years, you could otherwise not reasonably obtain one, but you did not bring a supporting form of identification to the polling place, and (2) the right to present one of the acceptable forms of photo identification, which, if you are under 70, is not expired for more than four years, or, if you do not possess and cannot reasonably obtain an acceptable form of photo identification, the right to execute a reasonable impediment declaration and present one of the supporting forms of identification, to the county voter registrar’s office, within six (6) calendar days after election day, or, if applicable, qualify for a temporary (natural disaster or religious objection to being photographed) or permanent (disability) exemption, within six (6) calendar days of election day, at the county voter registrar’s office. Vote once at any early voting location during the early voting period within the territory conducting the election. File an administrative complaint with the Secretary of State concerning violations of federal and state voting procedures.
