A Republican You Should Know!
According to his website, native Houstonian Chris Daniel was elected Harris County District Clerk on Nov. 2, 2010 and took the oath of office on Jan. 1. He was reelected in November 2014 to another term. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Chris earned his degree in mechanical engineering. As an engineer, Chris designed oilfield tool and management projects and served as Project Manager in the Tubing Division and Research Project Manager in the Drill Pipe Division of National Oilwell Varco. In November of 2006, Chris became one of the youngest elected officials in the state of Texas when he defeated the Board Chair of Lone Star College System. During his time there, Chris spearheaded the Student Success Initiative and served as student liaison to the Board, helping bring textbooks online and helping the college expand to more than 60,000 full time students. In that time, the college grew to be the second largest in Texas. Chris attended Night Law School at the South Texas College of Law, where he became involved in Intellectual Property and Patent Law and served as Nighttime Student Senator and Senior Student Senator of Student Government.

Chris volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Houston Food Bank, Target Hunger and Rotary. He is an Eagle Scout, a Lifetime Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and a member of the Gatekeeper and the Lamb and Goat Auction committees. He loves to travel and has visited more than 14 countries.

DON’T FORGET THAT EVERY VOTE WILL MATTER ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH IN HARRIS COUNTY ANALYSIS BY AUBREY R. TAYLOR
T
here’s a lot of talk about a “BLUEWAVE” floating around. But conservatives from all across Texas believe you should get prepared for a “REDSTORM.” And, according to published information, they’ve earned the right to be confident about thier 2018 Midterm Election chances. In case you don’t know, Republicans hold every statewide elected office and majorities in the state senate, state house and on the state board of education. And they also hold majorities in 107 Texas counties that contain nearly two-thirds of the state’s population. But on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, the day when Democratic hopefuls and Republican hopefuls are set to face off, nothing should be taken for granted.
EARLY VOTING PERIOD:
The early voting period will begin on Monday, October 22, 2018, and end on Friday, November 2, 2018 in the State of Texas.
ELECTION DAY VOTING:
If you can’t vote early for some reason, you can still cast your vote on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in the State of Texas

DO YOU KNOW YOUR VOTING RIGHTS?
As a registered voter in Texas, you have the right to: A ballot with written instructions on how to cast a ballot. Ask the polling place official for instructions on how to cast a ballot (but not suggestions on how to vote). Cast your vote in secret and free from intimidation. Receive up to two more ballots if you make a mistake while marking the ballot. Bring an interpreter to assist you as you qualify to vote if you do not understand the English language. Help to cast your ballot if you cannot write, see the ballot, or understand the language in which it is written. Report a possible voting rights abuse to the Secretary of State (1.800.252.8683) or to your local election official. Cast a provisional ballot if your name does not appear on the list of registered voters. (1) Cast a provisional ballot (a) if you do not possess one of the seven (7) acceptable forms of photo identification, which, if you are under 70, is not expired for more than four years, and you can reasonably obtain one of these forms of identification or (b) if you possess, but did not bring to the polling place, one of the seven forms of acceptable photo identification, which, if you are under 70, is not expired for more than four years, or (c) if you do not possess one of the seven forms of acceptable photo identification, which, if you are under 70, is not expired for more than four years, you could otherwise not reasonably obtain one, but you did not bring a supporting form of identification to the polling place, and (2) the right to present one of the acceptable forms of photo identification, which, if you are under 70, is not expired for more than four years, or, if you do not possess and cannot reasonably obtain an acceptable form of photo identification, the right to execute a reasonable impediment declaration and present one of the supporting forms of identification, to the county voter registrar’s office, within six (6) calendar days after election day, or, if applicable, qualify for a temporary (natural disaster or religious objection to being photographed) or permanent (disability) exemption, within six (6) calendar days of election day, at the county voter registrar’s office. Vote once at any early voting location during the early voting period within the territory conducting the election. File an administrative complaint with the Secretary of State concerning violations of federal and state voting procedures.
