Every election has important issues, but this November will determine whether we return to the failed policies of the GOP or continue to dig America out of the mess created by the last Republican administration. ENTERPRISE: Pete Havel, the Executive Director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, presented Congressman Kevin Brady with the Spirit of Enterprise Award during a Chamber of Commerce Meeting in Shenandoah. Havel commended Brady for fighting for small businesses in Congress.

Mid-Term Elections are crucial for small businesses By U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady (Republican-The Woodlands, Texas) Special to Houston Business Connections or small businesses, this election is about survival. New health care costs, threats of higher taxes, and reduced energy production have all converged to create an unprecedented economic uncertainty for small business. Republicans and Democrats in Washington hold vastly different views on taxes. Democrats believe Americans - especially those they consider wealthy - are not paying enough.
