I recently asked my social media followers if they could use one word to describe Houston what would that word be. As one can imagine, the responses were as diverse as Houston itself. In general, the words used to describe Houston were ямБtting:

Houstonians’ perception of their own city closely matches the reality of what Houston has to offer its residents. From an eclectic culture and nightlife to affordable living and the ability to land a great job, the opportunities in Houston are limitless.

If I were to pose the same question to non-Houstonians the responses would likely be very different. In fact, the research phase of the new Houston brand and image campaign revealed the external perception of Houston lagged far behind the reality. It’s time to change that. And with the launch of the new Houston: The City With No Limits campaign, we aim to do just that: To elevate the outside perception to match the reality of Houston as The City With No Limits.

There are 6.3 million Houstonians with 6.3 million versions of Houston. In the new Limitless Houston section of Opportunity Houston, we’ll allow real Houstonians to tell you about their city— from where they get their Tex-Mex ďŹ x to how they like to spend their weekends in Houston. Tune in each issue to learn more about working and living in Houston: The City With No Limits from the perspective of real Houstonians.
