At the time of writing, summer is rapidly approaching and thankfully the Scottish sun is starting to show. Let’s hope it’s here to stay for the many weddings coming up in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, whether that’s your own special day or that of family and friends – perhaps you’re playing a part or you’ll simply be picking up tips for your own idea board.
For those at the start of their planning journey or those lacking real life inspiration, GWD is here to fill the gap and get your creative juices flowing! The Wicked-themed inspo pages are a great place to start – will you go with emerald or blush pink? – before you delve deeper and read all about some beautiful local weddings.
Carolyn and Josh’s big day, blending Scottish and Indian cultures, was a unique, colourful, multi-event celebration whilst Joseph and Isla went with a rustic autumnal vibe for their Logie wedding. We loved Imogen and Rosie’s summer nuptials too, especially the guard of honour walk in the bubble-filled courtyard at Norwood Hall Hotel!
If you need a break from wedding planning, however, you’ll want to enter the competition to win afternoon tea with fizz at the Palm Court Hotel in Aberdeen. That said, it’d be the perfect place to head to after outfit shopping too. Perhaps you could be toasting to saying yes to the dress!
Whether you’re reading the magazine itself or on digital (it’s free online and you’ll find the links on our social channels), all that remains to say is happy planning in the months ahead!
And thanks again to the team –editorial, design and distribution. We couldn’t do GWD without you!
Enjoy, Simon
When Carolyn Irvine and Josh Guha started planning their wedding, they knew one thing for sure. They wanted to blend their Scottish and Indian roots in a way that was fun, meaningful and, most importantly, them. With a mix of personal touches, historic elements and a whole lot of love, they created a wedding day that no-one (including them!) will ever forget. Carolyn’s here to spill all the details on their epic celebrations…
“When we first started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted our guests to have an amazing time, and we wanted to blend our Scottish and Indian cultures in a way that felt true to us. With two ceremonies, a vintage-inspired marquee and a ceilidh that had everyone on their feet, our wedding was everything we dreamed of — and more!
Josh and I met at university, both part of the Krishna Consciousness Society. We’d known each other in passing but it wasn’t until a fancy ball that we really clicked. Fast forward to a sneaky Facebook ruse (Josh impersonating my friend online with her blessing — all part of his elaborate plan!) and a surprise trip to Paris… And suddenly I was engaged with a beautiful ring from Foe & Deer on my finger.
We gave ourselves two years to plan — and thank goodness we did! Indian weddings are known for being grand, and we knew ours would have a lot of moving parts. Thankfully, we had Priya, Nim and Suhani from Pristine Events to keep everything on track. They were lifesavers, especially with the logistics and liaising with our many vendors.
While the planners handled the big stuff, I spent the final months knee-deep in DIY projects. From stationery (which I designed myself) to sourcing beautiful ceramics from Jaipur for our décor, I loved adding personal touches that made our day feel even more unique.
Choosing Drum Castle felt like fate. My father is the Chief of the Irvine clan, and Drum Castle holds a special place in my family’s history — my grandfather even grew up there! It was the perfect setting for our Scottish ceremony, while the beautiful marquee from Esslemont provided a dreamy space for our Indian wedding and reception. The mix of history and personal significance made it the ideal place to celebrate both our heritages.
For our civil ceremony, I wore my greatgrandmother’s wedding dress — a stunning piece of family history. Trying it on with my Grandma before her dementia worsened was incredibly special, and it felt like having her with me on the day. For the Indian ceremony, I wore a stunning Shyamal & Bhumika saree that I’d been dreaming of for years. I had the blouse custom-designed and I loved how the intricate details came together. In the evening, I swapped into a beautiful Monsoon dress for our ceilidh, accessorised with my family’s tartan sash and vintage Cornelia James gloves I found (last minute!) on eBay.
Josh wore a classic kilt from Mitchell Scott for the Scottish ceremony and a traditional Bengali kurta with an open sherwani jacket for the Indian wedding. He looked incredible
— I was very impressed with his shopping skills!
The celebrations started the night before with a mehendi evening at Crathes Village Hall, where my friends and I had pizza, played games and enjoyed some relaxed time together. Meanwhile, Josh hosted a welcome event at Maryculter House with his side of the wedding party.
The next morning, we were up bright and early for our Hindu wedding. The sun shone as we circled the fire, exchanged garlands and completed the many beautiful rituals that are part of a Hare Krishna wedding. Our guests wore shades of pink — a vibrant touch that made the day feel even more joyful.
Later that afternoon, everyone explored Drum Castle before returning for the evening ceilidh. We greeted our guests with drinks before being piped in by the Gordon Highlanders Pipe Band. Their special set had the whole room buzzing and it felt so special to have that Scottish tradition woven into the day. For us, blending our cultures wasn’t just about the outfits or the music. It was about creating something that honoured our backgrounds and brought our loved ones together in a way that felt true to both of us.
Our décor combined vintage elegance with Jaipurinspired touches. The marquee was draped in creamy fabric with blue and white table settings, styled beautifully by Alan Ritchie Exhibition & Design, Virginia’s Vintage Hire and StyleinDetail. I loved how our blue ceramic cups (sourced in Jaipur!) tied everything together. Our linens added just the right amount of luxury and for flowers, Kim Dalglish created stunning arrangements that added softness and romance to the space.
We kept things simple for the Scottish ceremony, with just a bouquet and some ribbon wands for guests to wave as we left the chapel. We also designed postcards for the wedding using paintings by one of my ancestors, Anna Forbes-Irvine. We handwrote individual messages for each guest, and there was a station at the reception with postcards from our pre-wedding photo shoots in Scotland and Kolkata. Our guests wrote messages and advice here.
Our food was a celebration in itself! For the mehendi night, we had comforting bites from Scottish Pizza Co. On the wedding day, Joon Cuisine wowed guests with a delicious Mediterranean buffet after the Indian ceremony. Later that evening, we enjoyed a fantastic vegan roast dinner — a perfect way to refuel before dancing the night away!
Our first dance was incredibly special. My childhood friend Toni Smart and Josh’s friend Ross Wilson performed My Love is Like a Red Red Rose, followed by Loch Lomond and Mhairi’s Wedding (my middle name!) to get everyone on their feet. Then our ceilidh band kept the energy high all night, with plenty of chaotic dancing and laughter.
To top it all off, Josh’s parents hosted a spectacular reception a few days later in Birmingham at the National Motorcycle Museum. The evening was nothing short of glamorous, with dazzling Bollywood performances, delicious food, and a lively celebration with Josh’s friends and family. It was the perfect way to extend the festivities and bring everyone together for one final night of joy and dancing!
It’s hard to pick just one highlight but having our friends perform for our first dance felt so personal and meaningful. Seeing our guests — some in sarees, some in kilts — dancing together at the ceilidh was amazing. It felt like the perfect blend of our two cultures; exactly what we’d hoped for.
Weddings can feel overwhelming but remember to focus on what truly matters: Celebrating with the people you love. The unexpected moments, like finding the perfect vintage gloves on eBay, often become the most memorable!
For anyone blending cultures, embrace the fun of combining traditions. We found that guests were so enthusiastic to experience something new, from chanting mantras at the Hindu
ceremony to learning ceilidh steps on the dance floor. For us, it was all about creating something that reflected our love story and our backgrounds while making sure our guests had the time of their lives. Oh, and I’d definitely suggest an on-the-day coordinator. It was such a relief to have a team taking care of the logistics so our friends and family could just enjoy the day.
Looking back, our wedding was a beautiful whirlwind. And we wouldn’t change a thing.

As you’re knee-deep in wedding planning, your guests will be considering what gift to get the newlyweds to mark the occasion and thank you for inviting them to share in your special day. Here’s what they might be looking at, according to research from online registry service The Wedding Shop…
For couples who are passionate about the planet, guests are choosing to align with their values and gift ethical products that have little impact on the environment – eco-friendly kitchen items, organic cotton bedding and bamboo serving trays, for example. P.S. Did you know that having a gift list is actually a good way to go green? This is because you’re less likely to get presents you don’t want and, therefore, less likely to contribute to rising landfill figures.
As you put your own stamp on your wedding vibe, your guests may be looking for a present where they can do exactly the same; tailor it to you, them or something that connects you all. From a stylish set of personalised shot glasses to a beautiful bespoke chess board, anything is possible!
Do you prefer moments over material items? Many people do now, and to-be-weds are choosing to incorporate experiences over things in their wedding day. The same can be said for gifting, which is great for couples who want something special to look forward to (and fill all that time!) after wedding planning comes to an end. From cooking classes to romantic overnight stays to adventures they’d never think of doing themselves, sometimes the best gifts are all about bonding, creating memories and exploring together. If a physical gift is preferred, however, how about a set of stylish luggage? It’s a nod towards the memory-making sentiment but there’s still something to wrap up and hand over!
Wellness is definitely ‘in’ right now so its no surprise that gifting focused on health, relaxation and restoration has seen a spike in popularity. From spa days (see the section on experiences) to luxuriously soft blankets, delicious-smelling diffusers and practical yoga mats, this encourages a balanced and healthy start to married life – plus a reminder to unwind after being busy tying the knot!
Relating to the previously mentioned importance of sustainability and avoiding adding to landfill, long-lasting gifts are totally trending. Couples are looking for durable, timeless items; things that rate highly when it comes to quality and functionality. Practical presents like stainless steel cookware or ceramic serving dishes are great options – and give the happy couple an excuse to get to work in the kitchen together.
Smart oven air fryer, Sonos wireless speaker or Peloton exercise bike, anyone? Tech-savvy couples will love a smart home gift, especially if they’re settling into their first property together. This is a sensible and practical option yet pretty exciting, and not necessarily something they’d spend on themselves. What a treat!
Looking at the above, not all guests will be keen to splash out on a Peloton bike for someone they went to university with a decade ago –understandably. But group gifting is officially in when it comes to weddings, so big ticket items are totally a possibility. Whether it’s a bunch of friends or family, joining together to fund an extra special gift is a great way to make your present more memorable – plus it’s a clever move in these tough economic times. If this is sounding good, check out handy websites and apps that’ll make uniting to buy something ultra-simple. ♥

Partying with purpose
Like everything else in the wedding world, sustainability is big when it comes to the pre-celebrations. Thankfully there are plenty of planet-friendly ideas that can help you and your squad cut waste, feel good and be green. How about glamping? Making crowns of wildflowers? Or making (and tasting) delicious organic cocktails? Add on-theme décor and food too for bonus points.
Festival vibes
We’ve already talked about glamping so if you’re doing that why not go all out and arrange a whole pre-wedding festival? This would be a great one for a joint hen/stag/ sten/hag celebration as everyone would get a chance to mingle in a fun, relaxed environment before the big day. Just add live music, rustic décor and boho-style outfits – then accessorise at the glitter bar, and arrange food and drink trucks to keep your energy levels up.
Nostalgic nights
Have you noticed the increase of retro revival recently, from outfits to events? We’re here for it – and your guests will be too. Book something pre-planned for ultimate convenience or create your own. That means digging out 90s karaoke classics, donning the Y2K outfits and switching on those neon lights!

Wellness is big right now and the lead-up to your big day is the perfect time to give your body some TLC. Think yoga retreats, private pilates sessions and immersive sound baths – or go all out with a luxurious spa weekend (complete with Champagne on tap). One rule: Prioritise relaxation throughout.
An indulgent experience for all your senses, plus an intimate bonding experience, to-beweds are looking to private dining (extra points for tasting menus and matched wines), wine and cheese tastings, and professional cooking classes. Luckily, there are loads of foodie gems to explore in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Many couples are ditching the late night clubbing for early morning road tripping. Locally, there are so many options for excursions, from the energetic (North Coast 500, anyone?) to the more chilled (like whisky and gin tours). If there’s something you’re passionate about, find out how you can turn it into an adventure with your favourite people.♥

Ah, the wedding dress. A gown so special it gets its own moment, its own reveal, and sometimes, its own reality TV show. But before saying ‘yes’ to the dress became a teary, Champagne-fuelled experience, bridal fashion had quite the journey. Let’s take a look…
From ancient robes to modern-day masterpieces, the wedding dress has seen it all: extravagant jewels, towering veils and even a time when white wasn’t the go-to colour!
Long before boutique bridal shops and Pinterest mood boards, weddings were more about family status than following fashion trends. In ancient Rome, brides wore long, white tunics to symbolise purity and prosperity, while Greek brides draped themselves in flowing, colourful gowns with ivy crowns. So, flower crowns were always in!
Across different cultures, a bride’s attire wasn’t just about looking beautiful; it was a statement of wealth. The richer the fabric, the more impressive the family. Silk, gold embroidery, fur-lined sleeves… Nothing was too extravagant.
Fast forward to the medieval and Renaissance periods
Here, wedding fashion only got bolder. Forget white, brides strutted down the aisle in deep reds, blues and greens, draped in luxurious velvets and brocades. The richer in colour the gown was, the better. And if you could barely walk under the weight of all those layers? Even better. With enormous skirts, trailing sleeves and embroidery, a wedding dress was so intricate it could have probably told its own love story. Brides clearly took the phrase 'dressed to the nines' very seriously back then.
Then, in 1840, Queen Victoria changed everything. Before her, wedding dresses were just fancy dresses; nothing drastically different from what a woman might wear to any other grand event. But Victoria? She stepped out in a white silk gown with delicate Honiton lace, and the world gasped.
White quickly became the bridal colour, symbolising not just purity but romance
www.clarkejossphotography.co.uk
and new beginnings. Suddenly, every bride wanted to feel like a queen on her wedding day. Little did Victoria know she had just set a trend that would last for centuries.
By the 1920s, bridal fashion took a turn again
This time it was towards a more modern version of glamour. The flapper era was in full swing, and wedding dresses followed suit. Think shorter hemlines, looser silhouettes and art deco beading that shimmered with every step. Brides embraced sleek and simple designs, ditching stiff corsets in favour of movement and modernity.
Then came the 1950s, bringing that classic Hollywood elegance. Grace Kelly set the standard with her high-neck lace bodice and voluminous skirt; a look so timeless that designers still reference it today. Suddenly, brides wanted cinched waists, dreamy ball gowns and long, dramatic veils, turning every wedding into a fairytale moment.
And you’re probably thinking, how much can it change from here?
Well, the 80s arrived in all its overthe-top glory
And if there was ever a decade that believed in the phrase ‘go big or go home’, this was it. Princess Diana’s legendary wedding gown, with its 25-foot train, puffed sleeves and endless layers of silk, set the bar high for drama. Brides everywhere took note as they embraced extravagant silhouettes, cathedrallength veils and enough tulle to make a cloud jealous! The bigger the sleeves, the better. The longer the train, the more regal. Wedding dresses were no longer just gowns. They were statements.
And just when you thought wedding dresses couldn’t get any bigger, you’d be right! The 90s did a complete U-turn, bringing minimalism back to the bridal world. Gone were the layers of excess. Instead, brides embraced sleek, simple gowns with clean lines and effortless elegance. Carolyn BessetteKennedy’s stunning slip dress in 1996 was the epitome of this shift — sophisticated,
www.ivorygrace.co.uk
chic, and completely timeless. The early 2000s followed suit, still favouring strapless gowns, form-fitting silhouettes and delicate embellishments over dramatic volume.
Bridalwear has never been more diverse. Modern brides are rewriting the rules, embracing styles that feel authentically them. White is no longer a must — soft pastels, champagne and even bold colours like red or blue are making their way down the aisle.
Sustainability is at the forefront, with brides choosing ethically made gowns, vintage pieces or even renting their dream dress. Minimalist designs are continuing to rise in popularity, inspired by Meghan Markle’s sleek, effortlessly elegant Givenchy gown in 2018. More recently, Georgia Toffolo embraced the trend with a chic, understated wedding dress for her low-key ceremony in Gardenstown, showing that simple can still be stunning. Others are blending modern and vintage elements, pairing classic lace with contemporary silhouettes for the perfect mix of old and new. And then there are the brides who say: ‘Who needs a dress at all’? Bridal jumpsuits and tailored suiting are making waves, proving that wedding day fashion is all about confidence, not convention.
Before any bride walks down the aisle, she must embark on a very special journey – actually finding the dress! Some know the moment they try on ‘The One’ (cue the happy tears and dramatic music) while others find themselves torn between two or three completely different styles, questioning everything from necklines to train lengths. Then there are the brides who thought they wanted a sleek satin number but somehow end up head-over-heels for a ball gown fit for a Disney princess...
The key? Keeping an open mind. Wedding dress shopping is as much about the experience as it is about the gown itself, whether that means a fun-filled day with your bridal squad or a solo mission with a glass of bubbly in hand.
If you’re preparing for your first bridal appointment, here are a few key questions to ask your consultant:
• How does this fabric hold up throughout the day? (Because no-one wants to spend their wedding constantly adjusting their outfit).
• Can this be altered to add/remove sleeves or adjust the neckline?
• How long will it take to arrive once I order it?
• Do you offer alterations in-house? If so, what are the costs and how many fittings should I expect?
• What’s the bustle like? (A must-ask if your dress has a long train)!
• Can I comfortably sit, dance and hug people in this outfit?
• Should I wear a particular type of bra or shapewear?
• Will this stretch over time or does it need to be extra snug now?
• How should I store and transport it leading up to the wedding?
• How do I properly steam or press the fabric before the big day?
It’s also a good idea to prepare for the fact that you may change shape in the months leading up to your occasion, especially if you’re exercising more or plan on dieting. There may be that moment when your dream dress arrives but doesn’t quite fit like you imagined. Maybe it needs to be taken
in. Maybe the hem is too long. This is where expert seamstresses work their magic, pinning, tucking and adjusting until that real Cinderella moment when everything comes together perfectly, and you suddenly see yourself as a bride.
Once the dress is fitted, the final step is making sure it’s absolutely wedding dayready. There are a few last minute details that can make all the difference.
First, always do a final try-on a week before the wedding. This is your chance to make sure everything is perfect, from how the dress zips to how it feels when you move. Bring a trusted friend or family member who can practice bustling the train if you have one (because no-one wants to be wrestling with buttons and loops mid-reception)!
If your dress has delicate fabrics, invest in a handheld steamer and learn how to use it. Because trust us, a last minute wrinkle is nobody’s friend. And while we’re at it, pack a little emergency kit with fashion tape, safety pins and a spare button or two just in case.
In the end, though, it's not just about the dress. Sure, finding ‘The One’ (the dress, not the spouse — you’ve hopefully got that sorted!) is a huge part of the wedding journey. But what truly makes it special is the way it makes you feel. Whether you’re floating down the aisle in a ballgown fit for a queen, rocking a sleek slip dress à la Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy or strutting in a power suit that shows you mean business, the magic of bridal fashion is that it’s entirely your own.
So, here’s to the brides who twirl in layers of tulle, the ones who take the less traditional route and everyone in between. After all, trends will come and go, but confidence? That’s timeless. ♥
Decided who you want in your squad but not sure how to pop the question? Take a look at these ideas and see what sparks your imagination…
Send them a custom jigsaw that, when assembled, reveals the message: ‘Will you be my bridesmaid/man?’
Order custom-made fortune cookies with a slip inside that reveals their fortune as being part of your big day.
Design a card where they have to scratch away the top layer to reveal the big question. Why not get in touch with some of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire’s top stationers to see if they can pull this together for you?
One for the local décor companies; order custom wine, prosecco or Champagne labels – then plan a celebratory toast together.
Put together a cute bag with all the essentials – we’re thinking mini bottle of fizz, lip balm, tissues (for the happy tears) and, of course, a note with the big ask.
Going for a whimsical or beachy theme? How about writing a heartfelt note, rolling it up and placing it in a small glass bottle with some sand and seashells?
If they love a pamper, give them face masks, bath bombs and a note saying: ‘Relax now, because wedding planning is about to begin!’ And if they’re a movie buff, add some popcorn, their fave DVD and a card that says: ‘Now starring… you as my bridesmaid/man!’ ♥

When it comes to weddings, all eyes are usually on the happy couple - but let’s not forget about the mums!
Whether you’re the mother of the bride or groom, you’ve got a role to play in looking fabulous on the big day. After all, you’re part of the wedding squad! From dresses to accessories, here’s how to make sure you’re turning heads for all the right reasons.
First things first, let’s talk about hats. Because who doesn’t love a good hat at a wedding? Whether you’re going full royal with a massive brim or opting for something more subtle like a fascinator, the key is finding something that matches the vibe of the day. For a formal wedding, a big hat can do wonders. And for a more relaxed celebration, you can totally get away with a whimsical fascinator.
www.deesidephotographics.co.uk
Pro tip: If you’re worried about hat hair, opt for a chic headband with floral embellishments. And invest in a few discrete hat pins — because no one wants their hat flying off midceremony!
Now, onto bags. A clutch is always a winner for weddings — sleek, stylish, and just big enough to fit your essentials (lipstick, tissues and maybe a sneaky snack)! Like the idea of having your hands free for prosecco and handshakes? Go for a clutch with a detachable strap. Want to make sure it matches your outfit? Pick a metallic shade — gold or silver go with almost anything, so you can use it again for other fancy occasions.
Let’s not forget shoes. Heels are fabulous but if you’re going to be on your feet for hours, choose a block heel or a stylish kitten heel. They’re just as chic but way more comfortable. If a heel isn’t really you, ballet pumps offer comfort and stability. And here’s a golden tip: No matter what shoes you pick, break them in before the big day (around the house, with socks if needed). Your feet will thank you.
For mums, go for a dress with a flattering silhouette - think A-line or fitted styles. For those looking to keep it classy, a matching dress and jacket combo will do wonders, or a chic two-piece suit will have you looking sharp. And as for colours, navy, blush or emerald green are always safe bets… Though we love a good, bold pop of colour if you’re feeling brave.

So, what about the rest of the wedding guests? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered too. Whether you're a cousin, a best friend or someone’s plus one, your outfit matters.
For wedding-goers attending a black-tie affair, a sleek satin dress or a statement jumpsuit will always do the trick. If the wedding is a bit more relaxed, think smart separates - perhaps even a well-tailored jumpsuit or a cute tea-length dress.
Weddings are all about celebrating love, so it’s the perfect excuse to pull out all the stops and look your absolute best. Whether you’re the mother of the bride or a guest in the crowd, just make sure you’re feeling fabulous. Because when you look good you’ll feel good, and who can argue with that? ♥

Channel your inner Elphaba with rich emerald tones that exude elegance and drama. Picture deep green satin gowns, shimmering emerald-cut jewellery and lush, foliage-filled bouquets for a bold yet sophisticated vibe. You could be forgiven for thinking Scottish grooms have to be in tradition kilt attire. But there are actually lots of options to make sure you feel comfortable and stylish on the big day. From thinking about traditional and formality to personal style and practicality, here are 10 steps to deciding on your groomswear look(s) for your wedding day…
The first consideration is whether you’ll go traditional Scottish in full Highland dress (this would typically include a kilt, a Prince Charlie or Argyll jacket and accessories) or opt for a modern or hybrid look. This would be a tweed suit with tartan elements, or a mix of traditional and contemporary styles. Alternatively, you could go for a suit or tux –ultra-modern.
If you’ve decided to wear a kilt, deciding on your tartan is very important! It comes down to personal preference, heritage and your wedding theme. In fact, some couples choose their colour palette for their big day around the kilt tartan. So, if there’s Scottish heritage there you may want to wear your family’s tartan. If not (or if your tartan isn’t as aesthetically pleasing as you’d hoped!) there’s so much choice out there. Consider universal tartans, like Black Watch, Hunting Stewart or Scottish National, muted tartans (ideal for a more rustic and natural look) and vibrant tartans (perfect for the groom who likes to make a statement).
Every kilt needs a jacket and your choices range from formal to casual. The most formal (and best for black-tie weddings) is the Prince Charlie, a short black jacket with silver buttons that’s worn with a waistcoat. The Argyll jacket is considered semi-formal. A more relaxed jacket, and often found in tweed, it’s ideal for country weddings. For something versatile, look to the Braemar jacket. It’s similar to Argyll but with threebutton cuffs for a refined touch. Finally, tweed is your most casual option, offering a modern take on Highland dress – perfect for outdoor or rustic weddings.

For ultimate traditional vibes, go with a simple white or ivory shirt. If your big day has a vintage theme, choose a Victorian collar.
5. …And a tie or cravat
Going super-formal? Opt for a ruched cravat. If not, you’ll want a tie – and you need to decide whether to go tartan (matching your kilt) or a solid colour – something to tie in with the overall theme, perhaps?
A traditional kilt outfit comes with a whole selection of accessories that make it even more special. First up, a sporran is a leather or fur pouch worn around the waist – and it’s handy for storing your essentials on the big day. Dress sporrans are more formal while day sporrans suit casual looks, and there are so many options out there!
www.jdyerphotography.co.uk
7. Don’t forget the rest of the accessories
Next, tuck a Sgian Dubh (a small ceremonial knife) into your sock (formally known as the kilt hose FYI). Finally, the kilt pin is a way to add a personal touch to your wedding outfit.
Pretty much anything goes on your wedding day and if you’re saying ‘I do’ at the top of a Munro, for example, you’re going to want to don a set of sensible walking boots! If not, however, take a look at Ghillie brogues (lace-up leather shoes without a tongue, tied around the ankle) for a traditional look and dress brogues for a more modern choice.
As well as making sure your outfit works with the vibe of the day, consider the time of year too. For a summer wedding, you’re going to want lighter tartans, breathable fabrics and possibly a tweed waistcoat instead of a jacket. In winter, look for darker tartans and heavier wool fabrics. And stick to a full jacket for warmth!
Last but absolutely not least, go with what works for you. If Highlandwear feels good, go for it! If not, stick to a suit and add a tartan waistcoat and/or tie. Or if you’re feeling quirky, how about tartan trews? ♥

After a successful set-up by the modern matchmaker that is Tinder, Imogen Stewart and Rosie Law tied the knot at the beautiful Norwood Hall Hotel in August 2024.
“We gave ourselves a couple of years to plan our wedding. We wanted to make sure we could afford what we wanted, plus Imogen’s brother was getting married in 2023 so we wanted to avoid their date –and we liked the thought of getting married in a leap year.
Imogen loves a spreadsheet so she took care of the planning and budget, and just ran ideas past Rosie. There was a standing joke that Rosie was going to be just as surprised as our guests on the big day!
Our first priority was the venue, closely followed by the photographer and celebrant. Because without those three, there’s no wedding! We chose Norwood because we both loved how secluded it was. Hearing the birds and the River Dee, you feel like you’re miles away from the city. Oh, and Rosie fell in love with the main staircase. As we both have quite stressful jobs, we wanted a summer wedding where the doors could be flung open and people could dance, chat, relax, laugh and just be present in the day.
When it came to our outfits, Imogen knew she wanted a white jumpsuit and booked two boutique appointments a week apart. But after a positive experience at Perfect Bridal Rooms, she cancelled the other one. Rosie then booked in there too and the consultant – the only person to know what we’d both chosen – made sure her choice complemented Imogen’s. We both couldn’t rate the team at Perfect Bridal any higher, they were just excellent! They made each of us feel welcome, comfortable and like the only shopper in the whole boutique.
Each of us had three in our bridal party. The girls wore sage green ASOS dresses in a style of their choice and Imogen’s bridesman Roy wore a kilt, and added a gifted pair of cufflinks that belonged to her dad.
We both stayed at Norwood the night before, in separate rooms with our bridal parties, after a dinner for all travelling family and friends. It was lovely to merge the families
and relax into the next couple of days. Our mornings were busy but regimented and using walkie talkies made everything much easier!
Our brothers walked us down the aisle and our humanist wedding ceremony portrayed our relationship to a tee. Afterwards, we did a guard of honour walk in the bubble-filled courtyard (our guests had little tubes of bubbles and our bridesmaids were armed with commercial-strength bubble machines)!
While we went for our photoshoot, the guests were busy with a candy cart and garden games (some personalised) and we’d done favours for the kids – a wee paper bag with a magnetic heart-shaped canvas and colouring pencils. Plus, family friends Laura and Calum sang and played guitar for everyone.
We had four speeches; first up Imogen then Rosie, followed by Rosie’s maidof-honour Emma, and we finished with Imogen’s brother, Finlay. The words were the right blend of love, appreciation and funny stories. And there wasn’t a dry eye in the room!
Our first dance was Ruelle’s I Get To Love You. We both connected with the lyrics and loved the song. But because it’s quite slow, we had Disclosure (feat. Sam Smith)’s Latch for our second song. This is when the party got into full swing and dance floor was full for the rest of the night. We’d given our DJ a brief vibe of what we were looking for ahead of time and they absolutely nailed it. Think big, dancey, poppy, gay disco!
Rosie’s highlight from the wedding was sneaking off in the evening to catch the last of the summer sun and get a secret snap with our photographer. This special photo was then used a few weeks later to announce our pregnancy!
Imogen’s highlight was knowing people had travelled from all over the globe to celebrate with us. Everyone there played an important part in our wedding and made it the best day we could both have asked for.
The following week we went to Brora for a couple nights, switched our phones off and took a few deep breaths! As for our honeymoon, it’s on hold until our newborn daughter is a little older so we can leave her with Granny. So, watch out Thailand we are coming to get you!”

When it comes to wedding jewellery, you face a beautiful dilemma. Do you go for classic, heirloom-worthy pieces or embrace the latest trends? If you’ve been wondering how to choose wedding jewellery that reflects your style, you’ve come to the right place. Read on…
Jewellery plays a crucial role in completing a bride – or groom’s – look, adding elegance, sparkle and a personal touch to the special day. Whether you’re drawn to the romance of timeless pearls, the boldness of coloured gemstones or something else entirely, the key is choosing pieces that reflect your personality and complement your wedding style.
Some jewellery styles have been around for centuries and they’re just as impressive today as they were generations ago. In fact, these classic pieces are often chosen for their versatility and enduring beauty – they’ll never get old, and can be worn time and time again after the big day.
If this sounds like your vibe, some of the top timeless pieces include:
www.byrhea.co.uk
www.samanthaclyne.com
The ultimate symbol of love and commitment, diamond earrings, pendants or bracelets equal sophistication. Subtle yet brilliant, they’ll enhance your outfit without taking over the whole look.
Whether it’s a simple strand, delicate drop earrings or an intricate vintage piece, pearls symbolise purity and grace. Go extra classic and timeless by pairing them with lace, silk or minimalist dresses.
Keeping it simple with a gold bangle or platinum watch is timeless. Durable and full of classic charm, this is something that can be passed down through generations without ever dating.
Wearing a cherished piece from a mother, father, grandmother or grandfather not only adds sentimental value, it keeps you connected to your roots. And it’s the perfect ‘something old’ – seek out vintage brooches, bracelets or rings.
Alternatively, of course, there is the allure of trendy jewels – especially relevant for the modern bride or groom. Trends change each year, which means there are always fresh ways to accessorise your look. These contemporary styles give you the chance to incorporate what’s most relevant at the time you’re tying the knot (freeze the moment in time through your jewellery, if you like) and show your individuality.

This sound more like you? Then check out the following:
Think sapphires, emeralds and rubies – bright stones that add a pop of colour. Bear in mind that each symbolises something different too, like blue for loyalty, green for growth and red for passion.
Huge range to choose from, or have our Goldsmith create a bespoke design for you.

While tradition leans toward uniform metals, recent trends focus on mixing gold, rose gold and platinum. At GWD we love layered necklaces, stackable rings and two-tone engagement rings.
Having a garden wedding or going with a boho theme? Delicate floral motifs, vine-like bracelets and leaf-shaped earrings will bring a romantic, organic feel to your wedding jewellery.
Bold jewellery is making waves. We’re talking oversized chandelier earrings, chunky cuffs and intricate headpieces. It’s all about adding drama and personality to your ensemble.
At the other end of the scale, barely-there jewellery will give you a modern, understated look – or, if you’ve gone with a total statement outfit, make sure the focus is there. Look for thin gold chains, simple diamond studs and dainty rings to get that effortlessly elegant aesthetic.
All that said you don’t have to choose between timeless and trendy – why not find the perfect combination and mix elements of both? A timeless pearl or diamond necklace could be beautifully contrasted with ontrend geometric or floral earrings, and if you like the idea of layering, use a simple gold chain alongside a statement choker. If you’re crafty, why not turn an old brooch into a hair accessory? Or make a vintage ring into a new stack of rings?
Other ways to decide on your jewellery include looking at what you're wearing – and remembering that you want to enhance it, not compete! For brides in a ballgown or A-line dress, for example, stick with timeless pieces (pearls, diamonds and delicate gold chains).
At the other end of the spectrum, a minimalist silhouette gives you permission to add bold, statement pieces. You don’t have to, though. Simple, elegant designs will give you a sleek and refined look.
If you’re going boho or beachy then natureinspired or free spirit-style pieces fit the bill. And for vintage gowns? Go with special heirloom jewellery or experiment with art deco designs.
Lastly, you could look at your jewellery in terms of sentimental value – because it’s not always about how something looks, is it? You could incorporate the birth stones of you and your spouse, get matching sets for you and your partner (or the whole bridal party) and you could explore the option of engraving. Adding initials, wedding dates or meaningful quotes will make your piece totally unique. ♥
Online florist Bloom & Wild has revealed its findings for 2025 trends in wedding flowers, and it seems roses still come out on top. But which colour of this beautiful bloom will you choose? And what exactly will it signify on your special day?
Known to represent love and romance across the globe, a deep-toned red rose symbolises a strong bond of commitment to your loved one, while the lighter red rose is considered slightly more carefree, showing passion and desire.
Signifying grace and new beginnings, it’s no surprise that white roses are popular for wedding ceremonies.
Pink roses typically take a more delicate approach than the passionate red rose and can be the perfect alternative to show gratitude and admiration. Delving further into the pretty colour, baby pink shades can symbolise grace and joy, and hot pink represents recognition and appreciation.
Black roses
In the past, black roses were commonly associated with a morbid meaning but they now symbolise more positive vibes.
Representing the end of old patterns and a shift towards new beginnings, black roses are ideal to emphasise a big life change, such as marriage.
It’s no surprise that charming yellow roses have the power to make us feel positive and happy inside. Said to represent lasting happiness, they’re the ideal colour to symbolise a strong bond. Despite this though, in the Victorian era, they were said to illustrate a feeling of jealousy.
A rare alternative to red roses, this purple bloom offers a particular allure. It’s considered the perfect representation for an individual that effortlessly steals the show in every room they walk into.
Previously said to signify a celebration, this cheerful bunch is now associated with energy and enthusiasm. For giving or getting a muchneeded boost, orange roses are the one.
These remain a popular choice for those looking to illustrate a deep and heartfelt thank you, due to their sincere tone. But peach roses are also said to represent loyalty and commitment – great foundations for a happy marriage.
Associated with renewal and rejuvenation, green roses aren’t necessarily related to weddings – but they’re perfect if you want to give the gift of hope to your loved ones. They’re ideal for focusing on the good and bringing balance after a shaky period. ♥

Your wedding day is your red carpet moment — except instead of Hollywood’s flashing paparazzi, it’s your nan with an iPad and a photographer that you’ve saved up for years for! Either way, you’ll want to look and feel like your most radiant self. But great skin, glossy hair, and that wedding-ready glow don’t just happen overnight (if only)! Whether you’re a bride, groom or part of the wedding crew, this guide has you covered.
Three to six months before the big day…
Is the perfect time to build a solid skincare routine, book any long-term treatments and start hitting those hair goals (whether that means growing it out, taming frizz or refreshing the colour). Now’s also the time to experiment with new ideas because if something goes awry, you’ve got time to fix it. If you’re after professional facials, laser treatments or teeth whitening, now’s when you book them in.
Brides, consider lash lifts or brow laminations for that effortless ‘I woke up like this’ look. Grooms, if you’re considering a beard, start shaping and maintaining it, so it doesn’t look like an afterthought.
Prefer to stick to a budget? A solid skincare routine of cleansing, exfoliating and hydrating will work wonders and a simple DIY honey and aloe face mask can add instant glow.
www.deesidephotographics.co.uk
www.jonathanaddie.com
www.jdyerphotography.co.uk
One to two months before the big day…
Time to refine the details. Finalise your hair and makeup choices, book your regular trims and iron out your tanning routine (or test out a professional)! This is also the moment for hydration-boosting facials, deep conditioning treatments and professional beard sculpting. Brides, waxing or sugaring should happen now, not the week of — unless you want the lovely look of redness in your wedding photos.
Want to save a few quid? Try an at-home deep conditioning mask, keep your skin glowing with facial oils and perfect your DIY makeup routine with YouTube tutorials (and maybe some honest feedback from a very good friend)!
One to two weeks out, and it’s getting real…
Stress, last-minute planning and excitement can lead to unwanted breakouts. Here, hydration is your best friend, as is sleep (easier said than done, we know)!
Now’s the time to tackle those last-minute details like brows, nails and teeth whitening. Consider a brightening oxygen facial, a professional mani-pedi or a stress-busting massage to help you feel fresh and fabulous.
On a budget? A home mani-pedi, an ice cube facial de-puff (yes, really), and a good hydrating overnight mask will do wonders.
Wedding week is all about maintenance — no panic-driven experiments…
That means no drastic haircuts, no new products and absolutely no skipping meals to fit into outfits (fainting at the altar is never a good look).
Keep things fresh with a professional blowout or a crisp shave the day before. Brides might even want a final bridal makeup session to keep stress levels low.
Budget-friendly option? Dry shampoo is your secret weapon, a cooling eye mask in the fridge will fight any last-minute puffiness, and five minutes to breathe or meditate can help keep you from combusting under weddingweek pressure.
Oh, and drink water. Dehydration plus wedding nerves is a disaster that you don’t want to encounter.
Finally, here’s the truth, your wedding-day glow isn’t about the perfect skincare routine or the fanciest beauty treatments. It’s about being so ridiculously happy and in love that you don’t care about a tiny flyaway hair or a smudged bit of mascara. Whether you splurge on spa treatments or embrace DIY beauty hacks, the best glow-up is pure joy. And that, dear couples, is 100% free. ♥

Back in 2015 when Joseph Hibbs was performing as part of Reel of Fortune Ceilidh Band, he met Isla Smith at her sister’s wedding. Fast forward almost a decade and it was their turn to say ‘I do’ at Logie Country House on Saturday 12th October 2024.
“Joseph proposed on a glorious day at a beautiful spot at Loch Lee, Glen Esk, after seven years together with a ring that was a complete surprise – and a perfect fit. We wanted a fairly long engagement to make sure we could afford everything we wanted, and to secure our musthave suppliers. Plus, with most of our family travelling up from England, it was important to give them enough notice so that we could share our day with those who meant the most to us.
Our priority was finding a date in the school holidays because Joseph is also a violin/viola teacher, and we knew that we wanted an exclusive use weekend venue. In the end, Logie Country House was the only venue we viewed as we instantly fell in love with it. It was perfect for us as everything could be done on location without the need to move around on the day, and we loved the homely country house feel with the warm smell of log fires. The ballroom was naturally beautiful, and it was the ideal space for ceilidh dancing. We did most of the planning ourselves but leaned on Gillian at Logie who kept us on track with superb advice and support.
We incorporated a castle theme, which we carried through into our table names by visiting local castles in the lead-up to the wedding and taking a selfie to use as part of our centrepieces. Vicky at Paperoo accompanied this with beautiful line illustrations of the castles for our table plan.
From here, we adopted autumnal vibes with our colours and added DIY details to create a rustic wood effect that complemented the country feel of Logie.
After meeting Emma from Midnight Elegance at a wedding fair, I headed to their boutique with an open mind. I had no intentions of buying a dress at the first appointment; but I did, and it was the first one I tried on! Finding the right jewellery took longer and eventually I found Claire at RedRocks. After thinking bespoke jewellery would be unaffordable, I was delighted to find out that wasn’t the case at all, and she created my earrings, necklace and hairpin. My daytime shoes were from Charlotte Mills and I customised a pair of white Converse for dancing the night away.
The night before the wedding we stayed separately at Logie and invited those staying locally to join us for ‘Fajita Friday’, courtesy of Hudsons Catering. This was really helpful as we spoke to lots of our guests before the wedding, so relieved the pressure of speak to everyone on the day itself. Hudsons took care of breakfast too and it was a lovely chilled morning, getting ready with bubbles in hand.
We knew a Humanist ceremony was for us and afterwards we had lots of compliments; our guests thought it was a beautiful way to share the story that led to that day. After saying ‘I do’ we enjoyed a calm five minutes, just the two of us. Then we had a confetti shot on the driveway before the drinks reception, which included our own bespoke beer from Stewart Brewing.
Our wedding breakfast was absolutely divine and we loved personalising our menu so that it was exactly what we wanted. We had deep fried mozzarella as a starter option (this was part of our
meal on our first date) and the featherblade of beef with all the trimmings, which was just to die for. The speeches were a hoot with plenty of sentiment and laughter – and a few tears thrown in for good measure.
For the first dance, we chose Take My Hand by Skerryvore. It provided a slow and intimate start that finished with everyone getting up; ready to party. Foot Stompin’ Ceilidh Band took over (we always wanted a ceilidh as Joseph and the band rarely get to join in) and it was a good laugh watching our English families giving it a go!
It really was the most perfect weekend from start to finish and we felt so loved. What a wonderful feeling to have all of our special people in one place! But we really weren’t prepared for how emotional we would feel leaving on the Monday morning when it was all over.
Thankfully, after we returned home it was time to pack for our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic. We relaxed in the sun most days but did include one excursion to go ziplining through the jungle and feed some monkeys!” ♥

Blair and I were engaged on 2nd January 2021. Right in the throws of the latest lockdown at that time. I immediately started looking for our perfect wedding venue. Looking online, I came across Schivas Steading. A brand new wedding venue that was still under construction.
Although, it was essentially a building site, with scaffolding and the floors unfinished. It was so easy to envisage it complete. We loved it, and between the modern Steading and the older Schivas House, the stunning gardens and surroundings, the whole estate was the perfect mix of new and old, modern and traditional.
We planned to get married in the walled garden at Schivas House, have our drinks reception then head up to the Steading for dinner and dancing. The best of the full estate. However, the weather on 6th May 2023 had other ideas. Being a Scottish wedding, we accepted that our plans had to change. Our celebrations would be at the Steading.
Tracy and Edward were on hand to deliver the wedding that the weather was going to allow us. Contingency planning at its best! The morning of the wedding was so fun as we got ready at Newton House, across the courtyard from the Steading. Blair and his groomsmen stayed at West Lodge on the estate the evening before, and judging by the photos, they were also having a great time ahead of the wedding.
Now we were all suitably glammed and I was in my wedding dress…the most surreal moment, after two years of planning, the many dress alterations appointments, the time had finally come. It was happening! Wow!! Walking down to aisle to meet Blair was incredible, I really tried my best to be in the moment, take it all in and enjoy it. It was such a special moment with my dad, a moment just for us as we headed down to
Blair. The video footage shows just how proud my dad was and how delighted he was to be ‘giving me away’ to Blair.
Our ceremony was gorgeous and so personal to us. Jac Ruddy married us and Blair’s daughter, Rachael, gave a lovely and funny speech about how love is like owning a dog. We were now married, and it was time to party. Blair and I with our bridal party were whisked away for our photographs. It’s such a conflicting time we felt. After the wedding is over, the photos and footage is all you have left from the day and I adore looking back on them. However, in the moment, you just want to have fun with your friends and family. It is worth it though because the photos and footage are stunning.
My favourite part of the day was during the speeches and the meal. Mostly because we could just sit back, enjoy it and take everything in! My dad, husband, best man and chief bridesmaid, Lynsey, all delivered speeches. Lynsey gave a speech because why should it just be men that give speeches at weddings, right?! After the meal, it was time to party the night away! It was the most fun atmosphere, our band played the perfect mix of wedding songs and a DJ set for the last hour. We also surprised our guests with an Ibiza style saxophone set. Overall, for me as a bride, the day passed in a flash. I really wish I could have slowed down time.
We had a dream team of suppliers but our day really ran like clockwork because Tracy and her team at Schivas were always 5 steps ahead. She is fantastic and is such a natural in her role at Schivas. I have no doubt that Schivas, still a relatively new venue, will continue to grow and get better and better with every wedding season. I will always be a Schivas ambassador, with nothing but good thoughts and feedback should anyone dare to ask…as I will go on and on.

According to online wedding resource Bridebook’s latest wedding industry report, your venue decision will be the most important and most expensive decision of the planning process. Representing between 25 and 50% of your total budget and costing from £6,000 to £10,000 on average, the space you choose for your big day sets the stage for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration. Let’s find out more…
In 2023, hotels, country houses and barns were the most popular types of venues. Couples told Bridebook that they preferred that all-in-one experience – and on that note, 77% of wedding ceremonies took place at the reception venue. This was an all-time high after steadily rising since 2018, and shows how much we value convenience – not just for ourselves but for our wedding guests too. There are so many little bonuses of having everything in one place, like reusing ceremony décor and flowers at your wedding breakfast or for your evening reception.
Delving deeper into that 77%, the report said that 23% of ceremonies at wedding reception venues took place outdoors, which we love to hear at GWD – especially because so many of the venues in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire
LOCATED IN THE CENTRE OF ABERDEEN, UNION KIRK SITS RESPLENDENT WITHIN THE SPARKLING GRANITE OF UNION STREET.
Designed by James Matthew and built in 1869, this grade B listed building has been carefully and sympathetically converted whilst retaining many of the traditional features that you would expect to find in your “Kirk”. Union Kirk has the capacity to hold up to 220 guests depending on your requirements.

have the most beautiful al fresco spaces, simply made for saying ‘I do’.
If you don’t want to fully embrace Mother Nature, though (who can blame you with our Scottish weather!) hiring a marquee is a great way to soak up the elements whilst keeping cosy. There are so many benefits to having a marquee wedding, from the fact you can erect it pretty much anywhere (provided you have permission from the land owner if needed!) to the unreal levels of flexibility and customisation available. That means total control over theme, décor and layout so you can design the space to match your vision – from elegant to rustic and everything in between!
When it comes to narrowing down their venue shortlist, Gen Z couples naturally prioritise price. But interior style (55%) and overnight accommodation (44%) are the next top venue selling points.
The demand for barn venues is rising and this style is now the most popular for currently engaged couples who have booked already booked their venue. This figure surpasses hotels, which has held the top position among married couples in recent years.
www.eastsidephotography.co.uk
www.danirosephotography.com
When it comes to finding and booking ‘The One’, Bridebook say to-be-weds view an average of 14 venues online after getting engaged – but if you’ve already scrolled through way more than that, that’s totally fine! And if you’ve only looked at a handful and already picked your favourite? That’s great too.
Expect to read about 30 venue reviews if you’re like the majority of people who rely on solid social proof to build trust and narrow down their options. This is especially important when making such an important decision, and it’s even better if you can get some testimonials from people you know who’ve been to the venue.

With a marquee from Esslemont Marquees, you can host your wedding almost anywhere!
Many couples dream of a unique wedding at home, in the grounds of a historic venue or at a local beauty spot . Our marquees give you a blank canvas to create your dream wedding.

Things start getting real when you’re sending e-mails and making calls – and couples will probably get in touch with around seven of the venues that match their price, location and style needs. That doesn’t mean you’ll visit all of these, though. When it comes to seeing potential spaces in real life it’s likely you will only view three venues in person.
And from there, the final decision is usually led by emotion – how do you feel when you’re in these places? Can you imagine yourself tying the knot in these surroundings? Entertaining your guests there, and toasting to your happily ever after? If so, you may just be on to something…!

stately homes, baronial mansions, country estates…
These are all spectacular settings in which to tie the knot but at GWD we’re sure we’re not the only ones but many people can't quite tell which is which, and why! Here's all you need to know..
www.jenniferriddell.co.uk
Both castles and stately homes offer stunning and historic settings for weddings, but they have distinct characteristics that can impact your overall experience. First up, their architecture and history… Built for defence, a castle will have some giveaway features like turrets, thick stone walls, moats and medieval or Gothic architecture. You’ll find they feel very grand and give you all the fairytale feels – and often a bit of drama too. Stately homes, meanwhile, are more about elegance. These large
www.jenniferriddell.co.uk
country houses/mansions were generally built for luxury and sophistication, and date back to Georgian, Victorian or Edwardian eras. Their stereotypical features? Beautifully designed interiors, landscaped gardens and a more refined ambiance.
Once inside, a castle’s drama continues – in a good way, of course! They’re ideal for couples wanting a regal, storybook setting with a sense of history, grandeur and opulence. If you’re going for more of a timeless, classic and romantic feel, you’ll love the period décor, ornate ballrooms and manicured gardens of a stately home.

Whether your dream special day is a hillside elopement in the wild Scottish landscape, a micro wedding in a beautiful heritage garden, or a grand celebration at a castle, by choosing our venues you’re also supporting our vital conservation work across the country.
Make your wedding a truly unique experience, and help our charity to protect these treasured places for generations to come.
There’s no doubt about it; both venue types will ensure you’re the hosts with the most. But again, you’ll find some differences that may help you decide which is for you. A castle typically has a large, historic banquet hall with stone fireplaces and unique medieval or Renaissance-style architecture – plus there may be a chapel or church on-site. A stately home, meanwhile, will have a selection of lavish drawing rooms, dining halls and ballrooms – all with expansive windows and ornate detailing.

...where weddings and special occasions are different
Moving outside, you’ll be surrounded by beauty at any castle or stately home; ideal for summer weddings and outdoor receptions. There could be historic outdoor spaces (like courtyards and battlements) at castles – as well as gorgeous gardens, of course. Likewise, stately homes have stunning exteriors, full of fountains and terraces.
So, over to you… Are you dreaming of a majestic, historic, fairytale setting? Or a classic, refined and elegant backdrop? Happy venue hunting! ♥ www.jonathanaddie.com
Size-wise, it completely depends on the venue but most castles and stately homes will have the flexibility to cater for intimate weddings and larger celebrations. Some offer accommodation and hire the venue on an exclusive use basis.
When it comes to weddings, hotels have it all – and we’re not just talking about the comfy beds (although they do help)!
From the ceremony and reception to accommodation and post-wedding relaxation, a hotel can do it all with ease. So, here's why it's worth considering a hotel for your big day...
All-in-one convenience
Imagine having everything you need for your wedding day in one place? No need for multiple vendors, transportation logistics or chasing down last-minute details. Many hotels offer comprehensive wedding packages that include everything from the ceremony and reception to catering, accommodation and even post-wedding brunches.
Hotels also often come with dedicated wedding coordinators who will help you with every step, from choosing the perfect décor to selecting your menu and arranging entertainment. Plus, having a professional team behind the scenes ensures everything runs smoothly. So, you can rest easy knowing they’ve got it all under control.

Whether you want something grand and opulent or relaxed and modern, hotels offer a variety of spaces to suit every style and budget. From big ballrooms to cosy, intimate lounges, there’s a hotel venue that fits your vision. You might choose a contemporary hotel with sleek, minimalist spaces or a more traditional one with ornate chandeliers and luxurious carpets. Many hotels feature outdoor spaces like beautiful gardens or rooftop terraces, offering a unique backdrop for your ceremony or reception.
Couples can choose from an assortment of locations within the hotel, making it easier to find the perfect spot for your ceremony, drinks reception, and dance floor. Some hotels even have on-site chapels, making them an ideal choice for couples who want to say ‘I do’ in a sacred space.
For those with a particular theme in mind, hotels provide the flexibility to bring in your own décor and personal touches, whether you're going for a vintage look, boho chic or something utterly unique.

Weddings at hotels come with their own set of advantages when it comes to budgeting. Because many offer all-inclusive packages, it’s easier to plan your expenses upfront and stay within budget. You’ll know exactly what you’re paying for, and many coordinators will allow you to add additional extras as you go along. Some venues even offer seasonal discounts or special deals for weekday weddings, which can help you save a bit of cash while still throwing an unforgettable event.
If you're planning a wedding in a more remote area, a hotel can save you the hassle of booking extra transport or hiring multiple vendors. Everything from the ceremony and reception to the catering and accommodation can be arranged under one roof, giving you incredible value and convenience.

Who says pastels are just for bridesmaids/men? It’s time for the groom’s party to embrace lavender, whether in a full kilt (bold move, we love it!), a tweed waistcoat or a sharp silk tie. Add a sprig of actual lavender for a bonus nod to tradition and suddenly, you’re stylish and smelling fantastic. Perfect for standing out, without outshining the bride (well, maybe just a little)!. ♥

Juliet McPherson and Daniel Livingstone brought all their friends and family together at Drumtochty Castle on 5th October 2024 for a beautiful autumnal wedding celebration. Now, the bride tells us all about it…
Our first date was at The Tippling House and we soon realised we had some mutual friends. This was a great way to break the ice. Fast-forward five-and-ahalf years and Daniel proposed on holiday at Universal Studios in Florida. It was a complete surprise, which made it all the more special. He nailed it with the ring – if I could have picked my own it’d have been extremely similar, and it fitted perfectly too.
We had just shy of two years to plan everything and thought this was a good amount of time to make all the big decisions on location, theme, colour, etc. And we hoped it would give us the best chance of booking our preferred suppliers.
We took care of the planning ourselves – well, Daniel did! He’s very organised and kept track of everything. The majority of decisions were made jointly. We both seemed to be on the same page with the vision, which made everything a lot easier!
Choosing a venue was first and we knew exactly what we wanted – a beautiful Scottish castle. We did our research and fell in love with Drumtochty Castle the moment we viewed. It was stunning, unique and had space for our guests to stay on the wedding night (something that was important to us). So, it was a quick yes!
Similarly, I had an idea of what I wanted to wear on the big day (something fitted with lace) and ended up going with the first dress I tried on… Not a style I thought I’d have picked! I just loved it and felt great in it – and it had
pockets! I added a waist belt and a headband, and had some alterations to take the dress in and shorten it. Overall, dress shopping was a very chilled experience and we enjoyed some celebratory prosecco afterwards.
The theme was autumnal, fitting with our October wedding and the colours were red, oranges and greens. My four bridesmaids – who I ‘proposed’ to with little gift boxes –wore sage green gowns from Pretty Lavish.
Daniel’s twin brother very kindly offered to buy his kilt for the wedding and he got exactly what he wanted (a traditional kilt outfit with a tweed jacket that was all totally tailored to him) from Mitchell Scott in Inverurie.
Our niece Ada was our flower girl and our dog, Marley, finished off our bridal party as chief canapé taster! She walked down the aisle with Jenny, our chief bridesmaid, and had a cute sage collar to match the girls.
The night before the wedding we had a pizza truck come to the castle, and all shared some cocktails and beers. The next morning was chilled and prosecco-filled before a relaxed ceremony. We’re not religious so went for a humanist ceremony. Our celebrant was fantastic and we included drinking from the quaich.
Afterwards, there was an acoustic set from Fyra and a magician on hand to keep everyone entertained, as well as a gin piano with all our favourite gins and garnishes. Everyone loved it – although not so much the next day! We also had a phone booth so guests could record personal messages and now we can listen to them any time.
The meal was incredible and I’m sure anyone who has had Drumtochty’s venison can vouch for this! The speeches were incredible and emotional. Everyone did so well.
Our first dance was Forever After All by Luke Combs. We’re big country music fans, we love the song and the title seemed very fitting. Fyra then got to the stage for the rest of the evening and this had to be the best part of the day for us – having all our friends and family in one room. In fact, it’s probably the only time this will ever happen!
It was such an incredible day; everything we pictured and more. And we really wouldn’t change a thing. Our advice for other couples tying the knot would be to enjoy every minute because it goes so quickly – and go for a videographer. Some couples swither on this but we were so glad we booked one. We love our video and know we’ll watch it time and time again.” ♥

Your wedding day is going to be full of special moments, and getting to those moments in style is key. From the ceremony to the reception, your wedding transport doesn’t just get you from A to B; it’s part of the fun, part of the experience and it can set the tone for the whole day. Let’s talk about how you roll…
www.byrhea.co.uk
www.byrhea.co.uk
First things first, opt for something that matches the vibe of your day, whether that’s a classic car, a vintage convertible or a sleek, modern limo. But there are more ways to get around than just cars. Why not push the boat out — literally? If you’re tying the knot near water, make your grand entrance via a luxury boat or even a charming ferry. Talk about making a statement!
For couples with an eye on sustainability, there’s no shortage of eco-friendly transport options. Consider electric vehicles like the Tesla Model S or hybrid buses for a greener approach without sacrificing luxury. And if you're feeling adventurous, swap traditional transport for a horse-drawn carriage or even a pedicab — a bicycle-powered rickshaw that's equal parts quirky and romantic. It’s personal, it’s classic and it’s a fun throwback to oldschool romance.
www.samanthaclyne.com
www.samanthaclyne.com
But who says the bride and groom need to be the only ones rolling in style? Treat your bridal party to a little luxury with their own unique transport. A vintage bus, a fleet of classic cars, a quirky VW camper van or a tuk-tuk can bring a playful edge to your wedding. Not only will it add character, it’ll also create lasting memories and give you the chance to snap some epic group photos.
At the end of the day, wedding transport should be almost as exciting as the ceremony itself. So go ahead and roll up in style because you deserve to arrive (and leave) with all the flair and fun you can handle! ♥
Your wedding ceremony is where it all begins, and it’s a chance to reflect who you are as a couple. From choosing a venue to picking music, here’s a simple guide to answer all the questions you might be wondering about.
Question: Where should we have the ceremony?
Answer:The location sets the tone for your day. So, whether you dream of a traditional church, an outdoor ceremony surrounded by nature or a historic Scottish castle, the choice is yours. Just make sure the venue is legally allowed to perform marriages. If you're marrying in Scotland, remember you can tie the knot pretty much anywhere. So if a breathtaking spot in the Highlands or a stunning coastal location speaks to you, go for it!
Q: What type of ceremony do we want?
A: Religious, humanist or a non-religious civil ceremony — it’s all up to you. Each type brings its own vibe, and you can make it as traditional or modern as you like. Add in personal vows, special readings or a Scottish handfasting to make it unique to you both.
Q: Who should officiate?
A: Choose someone who resonates with you. It could be a priest, a celebrant or even a close friend or family member who’s been ordained for the day! Just ensure they’re legally recognised to officiate your ceremony.
What
A: Don’t forget the paperwork! In Scotland, you’ll need a marriage schedule from the registrar, plus two witnesses. Make sure you’ve got all the legal details squared away before the big day so nothing’s left to chance.
Q: How do we make our ceremony personal?
A: Personal touches will make it memorable. Write your own vows, ask loved ones to read a poem or bring in something meaningful from your culture or heritage, like a Quaich ceremony for sharing a drink. Small, heartfelt moments will make the ceremony truly yours.
What
A: The right tunes set the mood so choose songs for your entrance, register signing and exit that reflect you both. If you want to take it up a notch, a piper leading the way adds a real Scottish touch.
Q: Should we have a rehearsal?
A: Yes, if you can. A quick run-through of your ceremony helps everything go smoothly, from walking down the aisle to exchanging vows. And it’ll make you feel ready and confident for the big day.
Remember, your ceremony is all about what feels right for you as a couple. So enjoy the process, make it personal, and most importantly, celebrate the love that brought you here!
Wedding planning resource Bridebook has released its latest UK Wedding Report and we loved learning what couples are loving when it comes to food and drink…
The Bridebook findings revealed that twothirds of couples book venues with catering included in the venue cost, and the majority of these are – unsurprisingly – hotels.
Although a sizeable two-thirds still enjoy a traditional two- or three-course sit down meal on their wedding day, younger couples are leaning towards more unique catering options, like buffets, sharing platters and food trucks.
In fact, when asked about their preferences, half of Gen Z opted for a buffet-style wedding breakfast. But food trucks were a popular choice too and they’re in big demand at the moment – just 6% of those married in 2023 had them on their list but this figure jumped to almost 20% last year.
Drilling down into food truck types, pizza vans were the top choice by far. But some to-beweds were booking American BBQ-style food, Mexican fare and hot dogs. Further down the list were some more obscure options…
Bubble tea stand, anyone? Or a mini-Dutch pancake truck?
Talking of sweet treats, they’re sought after right now too. Pick ‘n’ mix stations are the most popular, followed by edible favours and doughnut walls.
Drinks-wise, signature cocktails (how will you personalise yours?) are preferred by those planning their weddings at the moment, over the likes of more elaborate Champagne towers. ♥
More than half of couples choose to hire a professional cake designer – and in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, you’ll be spoilt for choice. So, here are some questions to ask your list of potentials, in hope of narrowing them down…
• Can we see some of your past creations? This will give you an idea of their style, creativity and skill level – and you can see whether this aligns with your vision.
• Do you specialise in specific styles or flavours? Again, thinking of your vision, some bakers are best at modern, minimalist designs while others focus on traditional tiered cakes.
• Can we have a tasting session? Not just fun and delicious, this is a sensible thing to do too! You’ll get to explore the flavours, texture and overall quality, ideally before signing on the dotted line.
• Can you accommodate dietary restrictions? It’s unusual to have a wedding these days without a need for gluten-free, nut-free and/or vegan options so if this applies to you and your guests, make sure to ask the question.
• To what extent can we personalise the cake? Ask about flavours, fillings and designs.
• Do you offer alternatives? If it’s not a traditional cake you’re after, you’ll want to speak to people who make cupcakes, doughnuts or dessert bars, for example.
• How far in advance do we need to book? Because popular cake makers in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire book up quickly!
• How does your pricing structure work? This will cover things like cost per serving, additional fees and deposits.
• Do you provide accessories and utensils? Your venue will need to know this – think cake stands, toppers and a cake knife.
• What about delivery? You’ll want to be confident the cake gets there safely and on-time. Ask about delivery fees too.
You’ve probably already spent way too much time scrolling through Pinterest and Instagram trying to figure out what’s trending next. But here's the thing… The current vibe is all about shaking things up! Your wedding day should be a reflection of who you are….
This season, it’s all about rich tones - navy, emerald and mustard yellow. These bold shades add depth and elegance, especially when paired with metallic accents like gold or bronze. Set the Scene by Rose Creative can bring these stunning palettes to life.
Eco-friendly weddings are here to stay. Trade plastic confetti for biodegradable petals or local blooms. Add potted plants, fabric draping or a green wall for natural, lowwaste beauty. Esslemont Marquees offers beautiful, nature-inspired set-ups, perfect for sustainable celebrations.
Add playful extras like sweetie carts or an ice-cream wagon. Rizza’s Ice Cream brings the fun with delicious treats, while Love Wee Weddings & Events offers charming candy cart displays to delight your guests.
Big, bold florals are in. Think dramatic archways and wild arrangements full of colour and texture. Paper and Petals creates eye-catching floral designs that transform any venue.
From illustrated cocktail menus to Polaroid guest books, small touches make your day truly yours. Thoughts and Crosses help craft custom elements that reflect your style.
Minimalist
Minimalism is still trending - just with more personality. Clean lines mixed with bold accents like neon candlesticks bring modern flair. Ruffle & Rose Events master this look perfectly.
This season is all about bold style, sustainable choices, and making your wedding feel truly personal and unforgettable.

Who says weddings have to be predictable? If you’re craving something exciting, it’s time to think outside the box! Let’s swap the typical playlist for some fun, memorable moments that’ll have your guests talking long after the big day.

Live music with a twist
Live music brings something magical to a wedding. Imagine starting the evening with a mellow acoustic set that's perfect for dinner and mingling. Then, just when everyone’s settling in, the band switches things up with a burst of high-energy rock or a surprising mash-up of genres. It’s an experience that keeps everyone on their toes and entertained all night.

Why not add a little mystery? A magician who performs close-up tricks during the drinks’ reception is a great way to get guests laughing and chatting. Someone making a coin vanish or pulling something unexpected from behind their ear is certainly a conversation starter and adds an element of fun.

For a show-stopping moment, consider hiring an aerialist. Suspended from the ceiling, they’ll perform a graceful and dramatic act that’s nothing short of breathtaking. It’s a spectacle your guests won’t forget anytime soon.
Not your average wedding game
Bingo just got an upgrade. Ditch the numbers and make the squares about the couple and the guests. Who’s most likely to take to the dance floor first? Who will shed a tear during the vows? It’s a fun way to get everyone involved and laughing throughout the night.
Want a keepsake that’ll make you chuckle? Set up a caricature artist station where guests can get their portraits drawn in a fun, whimsical style. It’s a lighthearted way to add some laughs while giving everyone a memento of the day.
A photo scavenger hunt is perfect for getting guests interacting. Create prompts like, ’Snap a picture with your favourite guest’ or ‘Catch someone in the middle of a dance-off.’ It’s a great way to break the ice and leave everyone with a collection of candid, quirky moments.
www.jonathanaddie.com
For a Scottish twist, keep your guests on their toes with a piper. Your favourite song on the bagpipes is sure to stop everyone in their tracks and add a magical touch to your celebration.
Want to make a grand exit? Fireworks are always a crowd-pleaser. A dazzling display of light and colour will leave your guests in awe as you make your way into married life.
After all that dancing, your guests will appreciate a snack break. Surprise them with a pop-up food station, like a late night taco bar or DIY cupcake cart. It’s a fun and tasty way to keep the energy high and everyone smiling.
With these creative entertainment ideas, your wedding will be full of fun, surprises, and unforgettable moments. Forget the usual –let your personality shine and make your day uniquely yours. After all, creativity goes a long way in making your wedding unforgettable! ♥

From teenage sweethearts to husband and wife, Cameron and Claire’s wedding was a nature-filled dream come true. With an outdoor ceremony, personal touches and a nod to their Scottish roots, their big day at Raemoir House was nothing short of magical. Here’s how it all unfolded, in their own words…
“We met at school when we were just 14. There’s still a bit of debate about who spoke first but we had a few classes together, and it wasn’t long before we were inseparable.
Cameron proposed in July 2023 during a surprise trip to an Airbnb near my favourite castle, Eilean Donan. He set the scene perfectly with pizza, a playlist, a bottle of wine and the cutest touch of all: a new tag on our dog’s collar that read, ‘Will you marry my daddy?’ How could I possibly say no?
The ring was a complete surprise. He picked out a three-stone design from H. Samuel to represent our past, present and future. It felt perfect, especially since we’ve always signed our cards to each other Then, Now and Always.
We gave ourselves just over a year to plan the wedding. Not too long to wait, but enough time to actually pull it all together without losing our minds. Luckily, the whole process was surprisingly stress-free. I’m a teacher, so organisation is basically in my DNA, and Cameron is spreadsheet-obsessed. So, between the two of us, we had everything under control.
The first big decision was the venue. We knew we wanted exclusive use so the day would feel completely ours, and Raemoir House ticked every box. It had beautiful accommodation, in-house catering and, most importantly, a stunning woodland setting that
made all our nature-loving dreams come true.
Cameron’s an amateur wildlife photographer, I’m a biology teacher and we both love being outside, so getting married in the woods felt like the perfect fit. We also wanted the day to be relaxed and personal, so a humanist ceremony made total sense.
Dress shopping was an absolute dream. I had a rough idea of what I wanted but was open-minded,and it turns out I only needed to visit one shop! The second I tried on the dress, I knew it was made for me. It was an ivory ballgown with lace and beading on the bodice, finishing in a long train with lace flowers… And the best part? It had pockets!
Cameron already knew he wanted a Modern Douglas kilt from Slaters, and he paired it with a black waistcoat, a jacket and a teal tie to match our colour scheme. His accessories were all sentimental - his tartan watch, a Barclay clan Sgian Dubh, and a hip flask I gifted him.
The night before the wedding we stayed at Raemoir with our closest family and wedding party. We had a meal, played games and soaked up that ‘this is actually happening’ feeling! The ceremony was everything we’d hoped for and more. We were so lucky to have a warm, sunny October day and standing there in the woodland, surrounded by all our favourite people, felt like something out of a fairytale. We lit a candle in memory of loved ones, tied a knot using fabric from my dress and Cameron’s kilt, and shared a first drink from the quaich as a nod to our Scottish heritage. The Aurora Quartet played throughout, making everything feel even more magical.
After the ceremony, the quartet continued playing inside while we enjoyed a grazing table, then it was time for photos before heading in for dinner. We opted for two courses and the speeches were kept short and sweet - although Cameron did write his last minute while we waited to go into the dining room, which is very on-brand for him.
Our first dance was to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran (the first song we ever slow danced to) before our DJ took over and kept the dance floor packed all night. One of the best things we did was ask guests to submit song requests when they RSVP’d, so the playlist was full of songs everyone actually wanted to dance to.
Looking back, the whole day was honestly a dream come true. The absolute highlight had to be the outdoor ceremony. There was something so magical about standing in the woods exchanging vows and knowing that this was the start of forever.
Our advice to couples planning their wedding? Book your dream suppliers early, don’t be afraid to do what you want and make the most of technology as it makes everything so much easier!”

Wondering how on earth to choose from the talented selection of wedding photographers and videographers in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire? We’ll tell you a secret – most couples prioritise connection, focusing on their level of comfort and how they feel their personalities mesh. So, let’s talk about getting to know the person behind the lens and choosing the perfect team to record your wedding day…
You’ll be well aware by now that your wedding day is going to be one of the most important days of your life, filled with love, joy and so many more emotions. And yes, the flowers will fade, the outfits will be stored away and the cake will be eaten – but your wedding photos and videos will be around forever… Phew! They’re more than just records of the day. They’ll tell the whole story of your love, while capturing all the laughs, all the tears and all the emotion you might miss when you’re busy doing bride/groom things.
First, a word on the investment
It’s no secret that your photographer and videographer are likely to be some of the pricier suppliers you take on for your wedding day. But given they’re around for the duration, plus they provide you with something pretty spectacular afterwards, it’s no surprise.
If you are teetering on the edge; deciding whether to go for the spend or not, some of the things our real wedding couples tell team GWD about their videographers and photographers might help you make up your mind:
• They capture once-in-a-lifetime moments: There are no second takes at a wedding and you can’t do it over. So, why not have it recorded perfectly, the first and only time?
• They know what they’re doing: These are seasoned professionals and they’re experts on lighting, composition and timing. And, of course, all this gets stunning, high-quality results.
• They craft a love story: It’s not just about taking pics or videos; these suppliers are crafting a narrative about you.
• You’ll have peace of mind: Yes, having a friend or family member behind the camera would save a lot when it comes to your wedding fund. But hiring an experienced professional means you can focus on enjoying your wedding without worrying whether or not it’s actually being recorded!
Before choosing a photographer and videographer, it’s worth getting to grips with different styles. They all create different looks and feels, so select a style that resonates with your personalities and your wedding theme.
Classic, traditional wedding photography is all about the posed shots – think of something you’d see in a glossy magazine where the director has carefully positioned each person. These are great for couples who love structure and elegance, and this style works particularly well for bridal party photos.
I’m your extra wedding guest with a fancy camera, ready to join in the good times, the giggles and the adventures.

www.thehoggs.co.uk
Meanwhile, a documentary/photojournalistic style is more of a candid, storytelling approach – you’re pretty likely to get this with your videography. It’s all about being natural and unposed, and capturing genuine emotions and unscripted moments. Looking at more niche options, a fine art style will be soft and artistic, with a focus on composition and creativity (think museumworthy aesthetics) while a dark and moody style embraces deep contrasts, rich colours and artistic touches. This can really add an air of drama, cinema and romance to your big day images.
As you’ll be able to tell by now, a lot goes into wedding photography and videography. So, finding the perfect professionals for you needs research and prep work.
Here’s how to get started:
1. Review their portfolio
Look at full wedding albums or videos, not just Insta highlights. This will give you a better idea of their consistency and ability to capture a full day event.
2. Read reviews and ask for recommendations
Check testimonials from past clients. And if a friend or family member had a fantastic experience with a photographer, that’s a good sign – get in touch with them!
3. Meet in person or remotely
Your photographer and videographer will be with you all day, so it’s important you both feel comfortable with them.
4. Ask, ask, ask!
You’ll want to quiz them on their photography/ videography style, and their packages. That includes finding out how many hours of coverage you get and what the turnaround time will be after the event. It’s also worth asking if they’ve worked at your venue before (if you’ve booked one by now – some people choose their photographer first!) and whether they have a second shooter and/or backup equipment.
5. Discuss your budget
Photography and videography costs vary widely. So, set a budget but remember that these services are an investment in memories that will last a lifetime.
6. Take advantage of an engagement shoot
Even the most camera-shy couples look incredible in their wedding visuals with the right prep. Taking part in a pre-wedding shoot helps you get comfortable in front of the camera – and you’re more likely to get natural,

beautiful photos and videos. Plus, it’s a chance to bond with your chosen photographer. And you might even get a great shot to use as part of your wedding stationery!
A huge part of determining the right photographer and videographer for you as a couple relates to the big day itself. But don’t forget to consider the aftermath too; the finished product!
After your wedding, your suppliers will retreat to their studios and spend a huge amount of time editing and fine-tuning the images and videos, until they’re just right. Then they’ll share them with you – usually via online transfer or a USB stick. But it’s worth asking whether they offer anything else, like printed albums (a timeless way to relive your day) or wall art and prints, as part of their package.
And, in practical terms, you’ll want to make sure you organise digital backups immediately! It’s worth storing your images and videos on a hard drive and cloud storage, just in case.
Your wedding photography and videography are more than just services; they’re forever. And whether you choose a timeless, elegant aesthetic or a modern, cinematic approach, the key is finding those who just ‘get’ your vision – and make you feel at ease. Because

long after the music fades and the flowers wilt, your wedding photos and vids will remain, for generations to come.
While photography captures still moments, videography adds movement, sound and emotion, creating a full cinematic experience. And FYI, wedding films have evolved far beyond traditional wedding videos.
Here’s what’s popular right now:
• A highlight reel: Perfect for sharing on social media, this short three- to five-minute video will be set to music, capturing the best moments of the day.
• Cinematic storytelling: Inspired by movies, these videos use professional editing, slow motion and aerial shots for a dramatic effect.
• Same-day edits: This is a fast-paced video shown at the reception, giving guests an immediate look at the day’s most beautiful moments. Wow!
• Drone footage: This gives you aerial views of the venue and ceremony, which can add an epic touch to your wedding film.
• Documentary-style films: A natural, behind-the-scenes look at the wedding, including personal interviews and voiceovers to tell your love story. ♥
