Houra Farzaneh, scultrice e pittrice (Teheran, Iran, 1982) ha mosso i primi passi nel mondo dell’arte sotto la guida del maestro Aydin Aghdashloo fin dall’infanzia. Nel 2008, ha ottenuto il suo diploma presso la facoltà di Belle Arti dell’Università di Teheran, dove ha coltivato la sua passione per la scultura sotto la guida esperta del professor Yuaf Darash e del professor Mehrdad Khataee. Da allora, ha intrapreso una vibrante carriera artistica, condividendo il proprio sapere attraverso l’insegnamento della storia dell’arte e della pittura alle giovani menti delle scuole superiori e partecipando a numerose esposizioni collettive e individuali.
Successivamente, desiderosa di arricchire la propria esperienza artistica, ha deciso di trasferirsi in Italia. Nel 2020, ha coronato il proprio percorso accademico laureandosi presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, dove ha affinato le proprie abilità artistiche sotto la guida illuminata del professor Paolo Canevari e di Margaret Dorigatti. Durante il suo soggiorno in Italia, ha partecipato attivamente a qualche mostra, tra cui spiccano:
When I had fifteen years old, I went to an art school and started to learn graphic design. Have finished the school after three years, I went to the class of one of the most famous international artists of Iran, called Aydin Aghdashloo and started to learn painting. At the same time I started working as an art teacher in an art school. After three years I succeeded to pass the entrance exam of sculpture course of University of Tehran and went to the faculty of Fine Arts there. Meanwhile I started learning printmaking and drawing under the supervision of one of the most famous artists in Iran and the world, called Mehrdad Khataei. After finishing university I worked as a freelance artist and had some group exhibitions with others. In later years I worked as a layout-man in an animation project for Hoze Honari -an art company- and then I worked as a translator for Elmi Farhangi publication and translated two books from english to persian.
In 2017 I came to Italy and studied Decorazione in Academy of Fine Arts of Rome and graduated with the maximum grade under the supervision of Prof. Paolo Canevari. In the recent years I have participated in various individual and group exhibitions in Italy.

Nel suo percorso artistico, Houra ha costantemente cercato di creare ponti tra le culture orientali e occidentali attraverso le sue opere, trarre ispirazione dalla sua esperienza di vita e dall’interazione con gli artisti italiani. Le sue opere rappresentano un viaggio interiore alla ricerca dell’identità personale e delle risposte a interrogativi filosofici che da sempre lo affascinano.”
