What is TRUVADA for PrEP (Pre-exposure Prophylaxis)? TRUVADA is a prescription medicine that can be used for PrEP to help reduce the risk of getting HIV-1 infection when used together with safer sex practices. This use is only for adults who are at high risk of getting HIV-1 through sex. This includes HIV-negative men who have sex with men and who are at high risk of getting infected with HIV-1 through sex, and male-female sex partners when one partner has HIV-1 infection and the other does not. Ask your healthcare provider if you have questions about how to prevent getting HIV-1. Always practice safer sex and use condoms to lower the chance of sexual contact with body fluids. Never reuse or share needles or other items that have body fluids on them.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION What is the most important information I should know about TRUVADA for PrEP?

Before taking TRUVADA for PrEP to reduce your risk of getting HIV-1 infection: u You must be HIV-negative. You must get tested to make sure that you do not already have HIV-1 infection. Do not take TRUVADA for PrEP to reduce the risk of getting HIV-1 unless you are confirmed to be HIV-negative. u Many HIV-1 tests can miss HIV-1 infection in a person who has recently become infected. If you have flu-like symptoms, you could have recently become infected with HIV-1. Tell your healthcare provider if you had a flu-like illness within the last month before starting TRUVADA for PrEP or at any time while taking TRUVADA for PrEP. Symptoms of new HIV-1 infection include tiredness, fever, joint or muscle aches, headache, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, night sweats, and/or enlarged lymph nodes in the neck or groin. While taking TRUVADA for PrEP to reduce your risk of getting HIV-1 infection: u You must continue using safer sex practices. Just taking TRUVADA for PrEP may not keep you from getting HIV-1. u You must stay HIV-negative to keep taking TRUVADA for PrEP. u To further help reduce your risk of getting HIV-1: • Know your HIV-1 status and the HIV-1 status of your partners. • Get tested for HIV-1 at least every 3 months or when your healthcare provider tells you. • Get tested for other sexually transmitted infections. Other infections make it easier for HIV-1 to infect you. • Get information and support to help reduce risky sexual behavior. • Have fewer sex partners. • Do not miss any doses of TRUVADA. Missing doses may increase your risk of getting HIV-1 infection. • If you think you were exposed to HIV-1, tell your healthcare provider right away. u If you do become HIV-1 positive, you need more medicine than TRUVADA alone to treat HIV-1. TRUVADA by itself is not a complete treatment for HIV-1. If you have HIV-1 and take only TRUVADA, your HIV-1 may become harder to treat over time.

TRUVADA can cause serious side effects:

u Too much lactic acid in your blood (lactic acidosis),

which is a serious medical emergency. Symptoms of lactic acidosis include weakness or being more tired than usual, unusual muscle pain, being short of breath or fast breathing, nausea, vomiting, stomach-area pain, cold or blue hands and feet, feeling dizzy or lightheaded, and/or fast or abnormal heartbeats. u Serious liver problems. Your liver may become large and tender, and you may develop fat in your liver. Symptoms of liver problems include your skin or the white part of your eyes turns yellow, dark “tea-colored” urine, light-colored stools, loss of appetite for several days or longer, nausea, and/or stomach-area pain. u You may be more likely to get lactic acidosis or serious liver problems if you are female, very overweight (obese), or have been taking TRUVADA for a long time. In some cases, these serious conditions have led to death. Call your healthcare provider right away if you have any symptoms of these conditions. u Worsening of hepatitis B (HBV) infection. If you also have HBV and take TRUVADA, your hepatitis may become worse if you stop taking TRUVADA. Do not stop taking TRUVADA without first talking to your healthcare provider. If your healthcare provider tells you to stop taking TRUVADA, they will need to watch you closely for several months to monitor your health. TRUVADA is not approved for the treatment of HBV.

Who should not take TRUVADA for PrEP?

Do not take TRUVADA for PrEP if you already have HIV-1 infection or if you do not know your HIV-1 status. If you are HIV-1 positive, you need to take other medicines with TRUVADA to treat HIV-1. TRUVADA by itself is not a complete treatment for HIV-1. If you have HIV-1 and take only TRUVADA, your HIV-1 may become harder to treat over time. Do not take TRUVADA for PrEP if you also take lamivudine (Epivir-HBV) or adefovir (HEPSERA).

What are the other possible side effects of TRUVADA for PrEP? Serious side effects of TRUVADA may also include:

u Kidney problems, including kidney failure. Your healthcare

provider may do blood tests to check your kidneys before and during treatment with TRUVADA for PrEP. If you develop kidney problems, your healthcare provider may tell you to stop taking TRUVADA for PrEP. u Bone problems, including bone pain or bones getting soft or thin, may lead to fractures. Your healthcare provider may do tests to check your bones. u Changes in body fat, which can happen in people taking TRUVADA or medicines like TRUVADA. Common side effects in people taking TRUVADA for PrEP are stomach-area (abdomen) pain, headache, and decreased weight. Tell your healthcare provider if you have any side effects that bother you or do not go away.

What should I tell my healthcare provider before taking TRUVADA for PrEP? u All your health problems. Be sure to tell your healthcare

provider if you have or have had any kidney, bone, or liver problems, including hepatitis virus infection.

Please see Important Facts about TRUVADA for PrEP including important warnings on the following pages.

u If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It is not

known if TRUVADA can harm your unborn baby. If you become pregnant while taking TRUVADA for PrEP, talk to your healthcare provider to decide if you should keep taking TRUVADA for PrEP. Pregnancy Registry: A pregnancy registry collects information about your health and the health of your baby. There is a pregnancy registry for women who take medicines to prevent HIV-1 during pregnancy. For more information about the registry and how it works, talk to your healthcare provider. u If you are breastfeeding (nursing) or plan to breastfeed. Do not breastfeed. The medicines in TRUVADA can pass to your baby in breast milk. If you become HIV-1 positive, HIV-1 can be passed to the baby in breast milk.

u All the medicines you take, including prescription and over-

the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. TRUVADA may interact with other medicines. Keep a list of all your medicines and show it to your healthcare provider and pharmacist when you get a new medicine. u If you take certain other medicines with TRUVADA for PrEP, your healthcare provider may need to check you more often or change your dose. These medicines include ledipasvir with sofosbuvir (HARVONI). You are encouraged to report negative side effects of prescription drugs to the FDA. Visit www.FDA.gov/medwatch, or call 1-800-FDA-1088.

Exclusive Interview by Mike Halterman

Tony Award-Winning Musical Makes Its South Florida Debut

n American in Paris, the most awarded new musical of 2015 and winner of four TonyÂŽ Awards, comes to South Florida this holiday season. You can catch it playing at Kravis Center from December 6-11 with tickets starting at $27 at Kravis.org or at the Adrienne Arsht Center from December 27 through January 1st with tickets starting at $29 at ArshtCenter.org Inspired by the Academy Award-winning ďŹ lm, An American in Paris is the romantic story about an American soldier named

Jerry, a mysterious French girl named Lise and an indomitable European city, each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of war. Directed and choreographed by 2015 Tony Award-winner Christopher Wheeldon, the show features the music and lyrics of George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin, and a book by Craig Lucas. An American in Paris won four 2015 Tony Awards, four Drama Desk Awards, four Outer Critics Circle Awards, the Drama League Award for Best Musical, three Fred and Adele Astaire Awards and two Theatre World

first-ever nationwide tour. I asked him about the experience and about the musical adaptation of the beloved film in this exclusive interview for Hotspots Central.

This is your first national Broadway tour. What are some of the things you like most about touring?

We've been to three cities so far, and by the time we get to Florida it will be more, but I have really enjoyed getting to know the crews in each theater. It's really special. I also love seeing each audience soak in the performance and have so much fun. It's really uplifting to see that spark there as we share the story with them.

This musical was preceded by a well-loved film. How do you see younger audiences relating to the musical?

Ryan Steele Awards. The musical was included on the “Year's Best” lists of The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Entertainment Weekly, The New Yorker, Associated Press, The Hollywood Reporter and The Pittsburgh PostGazette. The Masterworks Broadway Original Broadway Cast recording of An American in Paris was nominated for the Best Musical Theater Album Grammy® Award. The score of An American in Paris includes t h e s o n g s “ I G o t R h y t h m ,” “ L i z a ,” “'S'Wonderful,” “But Not for Me,” “I'll Build a Stairway to Paradise,” and orchestral music including “Concerto in F,” “Second Prelude,” “ S e c o n d Rhapsody/Cuban Overture” and “An American in Paris.” You'll be able to see Ryan Steele in the lead role of Jerr y when An American in Paris plays in both Palm Beach and Miami. Steele, formerly part of the casts of Newsies and Matilda on Broadway, joins the traveling p ro d u c t i o n of A n American in Paris, his

The first time I had the chance to watch the show as a spectator, I immediately felt inspired. The Gershwin songbook is classic. The emotions people feel when connecting to it is so beautiful to me. A couple will hold hands when a certain song came on, or after the show you see young couples walk off to their cars, almost in a cuddle. The message of love is noted by people young and old.

How much practice and memorization went into preparing for the role of Jerry?

We went through about five weeks of work sessions, reading scenes and singing songs and working on all the dance moves. After we were all cast, I started rehearsals two weeks before everyone else so I could note all the major moments, because I have to be aware of

everyone and what they're doing since my character is central. It was pretty diďŹƒcult having to learn everything, but the team I work with is amazing, and Christopher Wheeldon is so great to work with. It's been challenging but it's so rewarding too.

Which number is your favorite to perform as Jerry, and which one is your favorite to observe?

My favorite to perform is the "American in Paris" ballet at the end. The routine is romantic, sexy and fresh...I feel so honored to be able to perform it. In terms of watching the show, I love the opening. It's absolutely amazing. The metaphorical sunrise of Paris after the Second World War is such a beautiful sequence to watch.

Is there anything you'd like to convey to our community?

I'd like to say that art really brings out beauty and love. [voice breaks] I think An American in Paris is very relevant right now. Art showcases the beauty and love that's in this world, and if we continue to spread it, and we live our true lives, we will always win.

What would you say to people to convince them to buy a ticket for An American in Paris?

World-class artists were involved in the making of this show, from beginning to end. The Broadway production was not scaled down when it moved to national touring, so

this truly is a one-of-a-kind show, a true slice of Broadway, coming to a city near you! For more information, visit www.AnAmericanInParisBroadway.com.

You rely on Uber or Lyft for those late night rides; hook up—or at least browse—on Grindr, Scruff or Jack'd; share your story on Snapchat, and work out to your favorite Spotify playlist. SEXYNERDS andGEEKS By Ian Maloney

The bad boys might get all the attention and have more than their fair share of sex, but no one wants to settle down with the bad boys. Nerdy and geeky guys are actually where it's at! Like Judge Judy says, “Beauty fades, dumb is forever…” When you picture a nerd or a geek, you might picture someone who looks like Napoleon Dynamite or if you are of a certain age, Steve Urkel, but thankfully there are just as many sexy looking nerdy guys as there are those who are a mess. Below, we shout out a few of our favorite nerdy or geeky guys.

Pietro Boselli- The sexiest math teacher on the face of the planet. This Italian stallion took the internet by storm last year. He was a T.A. in London while he was finishing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering. It is worth mentioning that after he completed his studies, he started working as a model. I probably would have been a lot better in math if Pietro was my teacher… or maybe not.

Anderson Cooper- The silver fox has been on CNN since 2001 and came out as a gay man in 2012,

confirming what had been an open secret for years. Cooper is the youngest son of fashion icon and NYC socialite Gloria Vanderbilt. His degree in Political Science from Yale and work as a fact checker for Channel One solidify his status as a nerd.

Thomas Roberts- Thomas Roberts is an American journalist who became the first openly gay man to anchor the evening news on a major television network. He received the honor when he filled in on the Evening News with Lester Holt on NBC. He came out to his coworkers long before he gained fame as an anchor for CNN and later MSNBC. Roberts hales from Towson, Maryland, a suburb of Baltimore and attended Western Maryland College (Now McDaniel College) and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communications.

Rachel Maddow- As far as dorks on TV, Rachel Maddow is the zenith. Maddow, an out lesbian, touts two of the top universities on earth on her resume. She did her undergrad

work at Stanford University, and she was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University in England. She was the first openly gay or lesbian person to become a Rhodes Scholar. She wrote her doctoral thesis on HIV/AIDS and Health Care Reform in British and American Prisons.

Vin Diesel- While the hunky Diesel is well known for his starting roles on the big screen, he is actually a certified nerd. He has been an avid player of Dungeons & Dragons for over 20 years and he even wrote the forward for a book that commemorated the 30th anniversary of the board game which has become synonymous with being a nerd. Diesel's sexuality has been heavily questioned over the years, but he has 3 kids with his longtime model girlfriend Paloma Jimenez, so he's probably not that gay…but we can always hope.

Ashton Kutcher- Kutcher is certified Grade A in the looks department, but despite playing Kelso, the village idiot on “That 70's Show”, he's actually pretty smart in real life. While he still dabbles in acting, he has followed up his successful career on the big and small screen with a career in venture capitalism. He successfully invested in several high technology startups including Skype, Foursquare, Airbnb, Path and Fab.com. He is a co-founder of the venture capital firm A-Grade Investments.

James and Anthony- those two guys who got engaged in power ranger costumes- I will let their dorkiness speak for itself. Here is what James had to say “You guys know that Anthony and I never do anything mediocre, we always have to be over-the-top! So, with that said, he had to make sure that the next step in our lives was more than special, it had to more Morphinominal! Anthony got down on one knee, in his ranger suit to ask me to be h i s f o r e v e r r a n g e r ! To d a y, w e a r e announcement our engagement! I said yes! Rangers Together, Love Forever! #Love #RangersForever #LoveForever”

Bobak Ferdowsi- NASA's hottest member of the JPL (Jet Propulsion Lab), Ferdowsi shot to overnight internet stardom when he was spotted by the camera when the Curiosity Mars rover was making it's landing on the Red Planet in August of 2012. His Mohawk and dyed blond stars caught the attention of gay boys and many girls and even President Obama called him “Mohawk guy”. Ferdowsi is from Philly and is of Persian decent. He studied aerospace engineering at University of Washington and he spent three working at MIT before joining NASA's JPL.

Miami

They eyes of the art world gaze upon South Florida By: Ian Maloney Since 2002, Art Basel has established its Miami show as one of the premier art shows in the country. Since the expo's first d a y s presenting art in shipping containers, it has grown into one of the region's top tourist draws, making Miami and Miami Beach important players in the world of international art. Both cities roll out the red carpet for this annual event that is also a favorite of the locals. This year's Art Basel show will take place from December 1-4 with the bulk of events taking place at the shows home in the Miami Beach Convention Center and in Wynwood, Miami's official Arts District. This year, 269 leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa show significant works from the masters of

Modern and contemporar y art, as well t h e n e w generation of emerging s t a r s . Paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, films, and editioned works of the highest quality are on display in the main exhibition hall. Ambitious large-scale artworks, films and performances become part of the city's outdoor landscape at nearby Collins Park and SoundScape Park. The show is broken down into different sectors which help organize the art as well as give expo attendees an idea of what to expect. Here are the sectors as well as a brief description of each. Galleries- Just what it sounds like, this is where different galleries show work in

booths set up in the main exhibit hall. Artwork from more than 4,000 artists from around the world, including paintings, sculptures, installations, photography, film, video, and digital art will be on display. Nova- Designed for galleries to present one, two or three artists showing works created within the last three years, the Nova sector features strong juxtapositions and neverbefore-seen pieces fresh from the artist's studio. Positions- This sector allows curators, critics, and collectors to discover ambitious new talents from across the globe, by providing a platform for a single artist to present one major project. Edition- Leading publishers of editioned works, prints, and multiples exhibit the results of their collaboration with renowned artists, providing visitors the opportunity to see significant, and rare publications. Kabinett- In a separately delineated space within their booths, Galleries present a curated exhibition by an artist of their choice. The diverse curatorial concepts for Kabinett include thematic g ro u p e x h i b i t i o n s , a r t historical showcases and solo shows for rising stars. Survey-This sector presents precise art historical projects. These may include solo presentations by an individual artist, juxtapositions and thematic exhibits from artists representing a range of cultures, generations and artistic approaches. Public- As part of Art Basel's show in Miami Beach,

over 20 large-scale sculptures and installations by leading and emerging international artists will be installed in Collins Park. Public is curated by Nicholas Baume, Director and Chief Curator of Public Art Fund. The sector is produced in collaboration with the Bass Museum of Art and supported by MGM Resorts Art & Culture. Film- Organized in association with David Gryn, Director of Daata Editions and London's Artprojx, the Film sector presents a dynamic program of films. Outdoor screenings take place at SoundScape Park, where works are shown on the 7,000square-foot projection wall of the Frank Gehrydesigned New World Center; and inside the Miami Beach Convention Center. Magazines- Art publications from around the world display their magazines in singlemagazine stands, or the collective booth. Editors and publisher s of ten attend the show and many magazines contribute presentations to Salon, a series of afternoon lectures and discussions by prominent members of the artworld. T h e re a re m u l t i p l e ticket options, starting at $50. They can be purchased online in advanced or at the box office at the Miami Beach Convention center. Senior citizen discount as well as student tickets are available, as are group tickets. For more information about the show, venue locations, and exhibitors, visit ArtBasel.com.

Inside & Out

Hollywood

By Billy Masters

//Robbie Williams//

“T

he truth is with me and gay is that I can't get round the c*ck thing. You know I have crushes. Big male crushes. A lot. I crush a lot. But I just can't do the cock. I don't enjoy looking at mine that much." –Singer Robbie Williams explains why he can't be gay - much as he'd like to be. Well, I don't really think looking at it is the problem. A lot of people have been talking about Mike Pence seeing "Hamilton" on Broadway. First things first - how did our next Vice President get tickets? And did he pay? 'Cause that's a lot of tickets for Mr. and Mrs. Pence, the Secret Service, and the guys who travel with him to electrocute...err, "convert" any gays they meet. Far more amazing is that anyone took offense to Brandon Victor Dixon's speech (which was actually written by composer/lyricist LinManuel Miranda). Trump Tweeted that the cast was "rude" and "harassed" Pence, and he demanded an apology. Did Trump even see the video of the speech? It's readily available online because Dixon told the audience to record it. On Sunday's "Face the Nation", Pence said that he was not offended, adding "hats off to the cast and

//Ricky Martin & Jwan Yosef// the extraordinary team of 'Hamilton'." So, what is this really about? Perhaps former "Celebrity Apprentice" contestant George Takei has stumbled on the truth: "I wonder if Pence went to 'Hamilton' to take our focus off the Trump University fraud settlement." Things that make you go hmmmm. Police were called to the home of a gay couple in Florida to break up a fight which escalated when one man hit his partner in the face with a boiling hot cup of Ramen noodles! I'm just curious - who is eating hot Ramen noodles in balmy Florida? Police arrested the thrower and discovered that he had prior convictions for grand theft, writing bad checks, and violating probation. Kinda puts the noodles into perspective. Ricky Martin is once again engaged. This time, his fiancé is artist Jwan Yosef. The two have been together for a year, and Ricky told Ellen DeGeneres how they met. "He's a conceptual artist, and I'm a collector. So I started looking for art and I saw his art and I went crazy because I love what he does, really original. And I contacted him, and then I collected him." You can collect some hot nude photos of Yosef on BillyMasters.com. I know I said I was done talking about the train wreck that is "Finding Prince Charming", but I can't keep this to myself. Shortly after the reunion special, Chad (a train wreck himself) posted the most vitriolic Instagram rant - and I loved every bit

of it! In it, he exposes our Prince, Robert Sepulveda, as a lying whore, among other things. He took issue with Robert constantly talking about being authentic. Here are some of the highlights: "How about being authentic that you're still hooking", "How about coming clean that you embezzled over $40K from the Atlanta rainbow crosswalks project", "How about being authentic about the fact that you actively pursued me, Brandon, Eric and Paul right after the show wrapped", "How about being authentic about seeing your Johns just before and AFTER the show finalized shooting". He ends the diatribe by revealing that Robert tried to sleep with him at Market Days in Chicago. Chad claims he turned Robert down. "But even then, without knowing what I know now, I wouldn't go near that science experiment. And by science experiment I'm talking about his penis". The best show on TV is "The X Factor UK". In the past, I'd been a devoted "X Factor UK" fan. But once Sharon Osbourne left, I slowly lost interest. It was clear that the magic of the show was the chemistry between Sharon, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh. Happily, the three are reunited this season (joined by Nicole Scherzinger), and I couldn't be happier. One of the contestants is Saara Aalto, from Finland. From the time she was 15, she was dating (and later engaged to) one of Finland's biggest pop stars, Teemu Roivainen. That all changed in 2012, when she was on the Finnish version of "The Voice". She started getting

//Saara Aalto & Meri Sopanen//

fan letters from a girl named Meri Sopanen. A year later, they met at a concert. Shortly thereafter, Saara dumped her boyfriend of nine years and started dating Meri! The two are now engaged. On "The X Factor UK", the host mentioned the engagement. Saara matter of factly referred to the fiancĂŠe as a woman, and nobody blinked an eye. We could learn a lot from the Brits. After a long story about a British reality show, why not a story about a British reality star with a really long penis? Brandon Myers is a very hot 19-year-old who's been featured on MTV-UK's "Ex on the Beach". He's also posted photos of his enormous penis. So I wasn't surprised when he posed nude for FitYoungMen.com, saying "Everyone was talking about it on 'Ex on the Beach'. It's nine and a half inches, and it's a bit like having a tripod, or a third leg." The site charges $57 to see his "9.5 inches of uncut beauty". It's far less on my site! When we're delivering one helluva drumstick, it's definitely time to end yet another column. And you'll be mighty thankful when you check out www.BillyMasters.com, the site that delivers a horn o' plenty to plenty o' horny fans. If you've got a question, send it along to Billy@BillyMasters.com and I promise to get back to you before Donald goes to see a Broadway show and is hissed at by "Cats"! Until next time, remember, one man's filth is another man's bible.

SAY GOODBYE TO THE DAYS WHEN YOUR ONLY FRAUD CONCERN WAS A STOLEN WALLET Justin Lavelle of Been Veried Offers Important Tips to Protect Your Gift Cards from Being the Next Fraud Victim Turn on the news and you’re bound to hear a headline of a new scam being pulled off by thieves and hackers. One day they’re posing as the IRS trying to obtain your confidential information and the next day you find out about a credit card breach at a store you recently visited. Long gone are the days your only concern was a stolen wallet. The unfortunate news is there’s yet another scam to be aware of and it involves the previously innocent gift card. Leave it to fraud thieves to find yet another way to scam you. Now these crooks are going after your gift card balance. One day you’ve got a substantial balance and the next time you go to use it, it’s at a zero balance. Thieves target gift card display racks, grab a stack of gift cards, snap a photo of the back of the card or jot down the card numbers in the store and wait for the cards to be activated. They then call to find the available balance and go online shopping. It’s not only frustrating, it’s the height of violation. Below Justin Lavelle of BeenVerified offers his best tips for preventing gift card fraud from happening to you.

7 Important Tips to Prevent Gift Card Fraud:

* Only purchase gift cards that are sold from behind a counter by a salesperson, not on display racks. Have the store cashier scan the gift card in front of you. This will guarantee that your card is valid when you buy it and that it reflects the balance you just charged it with. * Scammers know that gift cards are a common present during the holidays and are prepared to scam you right after the holidays. This year opt for cash, a check or another gift

instead of gift cards. * Do not buy gift cards that are being sold on auction websites. Since this is a large source of gift card fraud, these cheap gift cards may well be worthless to you. There’s a good chance they are stolen, counterfeit or used. * Buy gift cards directly from the store issuing the gift card or from a secure retailer’s website. If you do buy a gift card online, make sure you buy it from the place where you plan to use it. * When purchasing gift cards, carefully examine both the front and back of a gift card before you buy it. If you can see a PIN number, put the card back and get a different one. If a gift card looks like it could have been tampered with, don’t buy that gift card. * Your receipt is your proof of purchase as long as there is money stored on the gift card. Since many retailers can track where the gift card was purchased, activated and used, if the card is stolen, some retailers will replace the card for you if you have your receipt. * If a retailer offers registration of your gift card on their website, use this benefit straight away. Although not all stores offer this option, you can uncover any misuse of your gift card sooner and report it more quickly. Justin Lavelle is Communications Director at BeenVerified.com where he often writes about scam prevention. BeenVerified is the fast, affordable, and easy way to access to public records and search for people. Find out ages, marital status, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, criminal records, and more.

While many lists this holiday season (including our own) will focus on what gadgets you should get (or at least covet) there aren't as many that will tell you which items you may want to avoid. We asked the Hotspots staff if they had any items that came to mind that our readers might want to avoid purchasing right now. Not all are really duds, they might work just fine, but do you really need to spend $1000 just to have a robot vacuum your living room?

Apple iPhone 7—While the iPhone sets the industry standard for smart phones, chances are the phone you are currently using works just fine. Is it really worth it to wait in line (trust me, there is a line at the Apple store right now) to have a better facetime camera and an iPhone that is “splash and water resistant? Or, are you just purchasing the newest model as a status symbol? If you are up for a new phone on your contract, we definitely recommend the iPhone over all others on the market, but if not, skip this model till it's time to renew your contract.

Here is what our staff recommends you avoid.

Roomba Robot Vacuum—If you read the introduction, this pick shouldn't surprise you. Several members of the Hotspots staff separately mentioned this item because, apparently they are over-priced and don't really work that well. And, they are bound to drive your pet absolutely crazy. With the newest model coming in close to $600, you are better served getting a quality vacuum that runs off of elbow grease and manual labor and stop trying to be so damned lazy. Media Box—A media box is a device that you hook up to your TV that allows you to use apps on your TV, in the event that you don't have a smart TV. There are tons of them available on the market but beware of cheap ones that are made in China and can really mess up your TV and other devices. For the price you might pay for one of these devices, you would be better to cough up a little more and get yourself a new TV that comes with those apps built in. During the holiday season, there are bound to be great deals on new TVs if you just stay patient and keep your eyes open. Selfie sticks—These things are so two years ago. Trust me, no one on your gift list is looking for one, and if they were, they already bought one like two years ago when they were the in thing. Trust us here that they just make you look like a narcissistic douche bag. Don't believe us? Search for the VP elect's selfie he took a few weeks ago and judge for yourself. Just Don't! Ok?

Voice activated home controls—Unless you are going to invest in WiFi lightbulbs and switches, or you are really in love with the idea of shopping online without really seeing what you are buying, these devices seem like a waste of good money. There are good ones on the market like Amazon's Echo, but beware of imitators who don't have the research and development that a company like Amazon has put into their product. And for Christ's sake, don't be so lazy, turn your lights on yourself and if it is too chilly in your house, get up and change the temperature yourself. Or, be like my dad and have some kids to do it for you!

GENRE CULTURIZATE Con Teddy y Adora Satellite Show 1510 Collins Avenue Miami Beach FL 33139 Satellite-Show.com Hours of Operation Dec. 1st: 3 pm – 10 pm Dec. 2nd: 12 pm – 10 pm Dec. 3rd: 12 pm – 10 pm Dec. 4th: 12 pm – 6 pm After-Hours Programming Daily from 10 pm – late Hotel Gathering 1409 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach 33139 Gaythering.com

Adora- So Teddy what´s on your radar for the Art Basel Miami Beach Extravaganza this year? I know that Lady Bunny, Elaine Lancaster and I are all going to be busy but what else is up? Teddy Behr- As usual, there´s so much going on all at once. Besides you and Lady Bunny at the Opening night Basel Fair festivities, Ms. Bunny is also scheduled to be at Hotel Gaythering (1409 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach) with Elaine Lancaster, for an LGBTQ-themed art show. And then there´s a huge series of curated events in a new show called Satellite. There are a ton of associated events, including a virtual roof-top Gay Strip Club, a virtual reality show called Morphḗ-Presence, curated by Alfredo Salazar-Caro and William Robertson, with artists from Paris, Caracas, New York and Amsterdam. I love Virtual Reality art and I´ve only seen a little of it, but it is the most advanced technology out there so it really is 'the latest´! Adora- I love putting on those Virtual Reality goggles and entering another world… it´s so dreamy…and when you´ve had enough, you just take 'em off.. and BOOM; you´re back in the old reality again…But what about 'Le Provocateurs the afro-futuristic erotica DIY queer cabaret” which I also heard about for Satellite? Is that theoneDangerousRoseisdoing?”

Teddy Behr- Yeah, Dangerous has performed here before and is coming back. The DIY Queer Cabaret sounds interesting….interactive. I guess anything can happen…Dangerous is really beautiful and out there. And they´ re also supposed to have some Virtual Reality Pods, so I guess we´ll definitelybegoingtothattoo.Right?”

Adora- Mmmmmm…. Satellite sounds cool. I hear PAMM is also sponsoring an 'after hours' thing starting art 10pm every night featuring a Brooklyn-based Trans-Pecos with a progressive music agenda, with record label Loma Vista (Iggy Pop, Marilyn Manson), Miami rapper Denzel Curry's ULT crew; Show Me the Body from New York, and Baltimorebased queer rapper Abdu Ali….so umhummm….. We´ll be going to that too… Teddy Behr- There´s also an on-going continuous 'Performance Lounge' put on by 'Performance is Alive'' out of Brooklyn with Alberto Checa, Agrafemme and Ian DeLeon, Sergio Mora, and a lot of others, so there is going to be performance all the time. It's so great that there´s so much that is live, and spontaneous and music…it´s a great way to balance all the fairs that are showcasing art for sale.

“G-STRING” MUSICIANS

THE SKIVVIES

TURN THE BROWARD CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS INTO THE HIPPEST VENUE SOUTH OF NEW YORK AND EAST OF PORTLAND Straight from the basement of New York's Studio 54: The Skivvies come to the intimate Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, December 3 for two shows at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Singer/actor/musicians Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley literally strip down to their under wear to combine Broadway with burlesque as an almost-naked Cearley strums the ukulele while Molina straddles her cello wearing revealing Victoria's Secret attire in this explicit, adults-only show. The Skivvies are Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley, singer/actor/musicians performing eclectic covers and eccentric originals. Not only is the music stripped down - cello, ukulele, glockenspiel and melodica - but the Skivvies literally strip down to their underwear to perform. People Magazine named The Skivvies “The Most Playful Performers” in The Most Talked about Bodies of 2014 issue and Sports Illustrated named them "Favorite New Band." The New York Times calls them “a hot musical comedy duo specializing in unexpected arrangements, incongruous mashups, and of course, highly toned displays of skin.” Named to the OUT 100 list as one of the

“most compelling actors of 2014,” Molina met Cearley while performing in Theatreworks USA's national tour of the Just So Stories. The Skivvies were born in 2012, when they became YouTube sensations with their unique covers of artists like Robyn, Carole King and Rihanna. Tickets are $35–$45. Buy tickets online at BrowardCenter.org or Ticketmaster.com; by phone at 954-462-0222; in person at Ticketmaster outlets or the Broward Center's AutoNation Box Office. The Broward Center for the Performing Arts is located in the Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District at 201 SW Fifth Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. The Broward Center 2016-2017 season is presented by the Broward Performing Arts Foundation with generous support from the Salah Foundation. AutoNation, Bank of America, Greater For t Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, LATAM A I R L I N E S , M a s t e r C a r d , Pa r a m o u n t Refreshment Solutions and Sun Sentinel are proud sponsors of the Broward Center. All dates, programs and artists are subject to change.

By Woody Miller

Need Wood

WOODY AFTERNOON H

DELIGHT

ey Woody, A lesbian friend I adore wants me to be a sperm donor, but she, ahem, wants it donated in the old fashioned way. Now, I love her and everything, but I'm still going to have a blindfold over my eyes and a clothespin over my nose. Needless to say, I want it to work the first time—is there a time of the day when my sperm count will be higher, and thus increase the chance for it to "take"? ---I'm what you call a REAL friend Dear Real: Sperm work the second shift. While everyone is winding down and driving home, they're just getting ready to go to work. Researchers in Italy compared semen samples collected from men at 7 in the morning with those collected from the same group of men in the afternoon (don't worr y, they didn't give same-day samples—my God, they'd be exhausted. They waited for the pumps to refresh after a few days). The semen collected in the afternoon contained 40 million more spermatozoa than the samples collected in the morning. That's almost a 30% increase. So, wait till late afternoon/early evening, clamp the clothespin on and knock yourself out.

Hey, Woody! My new boyfriend wants me to talk trash to him in bed. I'm pretty good in the sack but I'm too bashful to talk dirty. If I ever made it to the World Heavyweight Sex Championship I'd be promoted as the "Thrilla-in-Vanilla." How can I loosen my tongue and let the trash flow freely? ---Tongue in chic Dear Tongue: Tabasco Talk is a real art. Too little and it's tasteless, too much and it burns. Like adding the sauce to chili, adding wordplay to foreplay is a great way to spice things up. First rule: Forget the flowery prose. Your boyfriend doesn't want to hear he's got a velvety vulva; he wants to hear he's got a great ass. If you're really shy, start by simply narrating what you're doing. If you go to a baseball game you're going to talk about who's pitching, who's hitting, who's doing what to whom. Do that in bed. Describe what you're doing and feeling, and more importantly, what you're going to do: "I'm gonna take my X, put it in your Y and make you Z stars." Remember the royal rule of the restless: Treat a queen like a whore and a whore like a queen. Meaning, your boyfriend doesn't want Aunt Bea in bed, he wants Ahnuld to terminate him: "Hasta la Pinga, baby." A great way to jump-start the process is to practice on the phone when you're out of town. Some people find it easier because there's no eye contact and there's only one way to communicate on the phone—verbally. Lastly, don't forget the Three G's in bed: Groan, Grunt and Grab. Not many syllables to them, but animal sounds can speak a thousand dirty words.

Leading Gay Social App Woo-ing Urban Millennials with No-Charge Hook-Ups Contrary to a recent Bloomberg report that dating apps are switching over to pay models, Jack'd, a popular hook-up app for gay urban millennials, says it will remain free. “Our research continues to show that our targeted demographic does not pay for music, games, movies, or dating,”says Phil Henricks, VP of Strategy and Business Development at Online Buddies, the parent company of Jack'd. “They've been raised to expect that digital products are free and they don't see any reason to start paying for them now.” Jack'd's path to monetization is through selling advertising to corporations eager to reach the hard-to-find gay, urban millennial. “They're a multimillion dollar demographic”, continues Henricks. “While they're not willing to purchase digital products, they have tremendous buying power and have no problem shelling out $5 on a cup of coffee or $200 on a pair of sneakers.”

More than 60% of Jack'd's revenue comes from Fortune 500 companies, clothing retailers, and the tourism industry, all of whom have run banners on the app in recent weeks. “We see it as a win for everyone. We attract the gay, urban millennials that our members want and our advertisers have a quick, easy way to reach them.” Nearly five million men around the world have joined Jack'd since its launch in 2010 and it consistently ranks among the top four gay social apps in both the App Store and Google Play. 67% of Jack'd members in the United States are between 18-26. Nearly 60% are Black and Latino. “Members appreciate that our free version offers many of the premium features they would have to pay for on competing apps,” adds Alon Rivel, Jack'd's Brand Manager. As for banners, Henricks says Jack'd members are not bothered by them, citing only 3% of members have opted to pay for Jack'd to avoid the banners. “They understand that someone has to pay for the app. As long as it's not them, they don't give it a second thought.”
