week ago Monday, the Boardwalk held their annual Pink Bra event which is a benefit for the Susan G Komen Foundation and from what I heard they raised $7,000. Congrats to all involved! On Tuesday, the GFLGLCC (The Greater Fort Lauderdale Gay Lesbian Chamber of Commerce) held their monthly mixer. This month they chose Sage's side bar. On Wednesday, Broward House held their annual “Disco Party” at Hunters which benefited Broward Houses team for the Smart Ride “Give a Shift.” On Thursday the Pride Center held their monthly Founders Circle Mixer. This month the event was held at the beautiful Doud's Jewelry on Sunrise Blvd. On Friday night, the Law Offices of Dean Trantalis' held their Grand Opening in their new location (don’t worry, they are still in Wilton Manors, just 2 blocks down). Later that night, Progress Bar had a going away party for Bartender Will as he is going back to Progress Chicago. On Saturday night, The Miami Heat held HEAT Loud and Proud at American Airlines Arena. This was an evening of bites and blends, music and fun, starring Roxanne Vargas, Tracy Young, Citizen Jane, R Silva, AJ Reddy, Alyson Calagna, Irie, HEAT Players, HEAT Dancers, and openly gay former NBA player, Jason Collins. This event benefited Pridelines, and a check was presented to them for $25,000. On Sunday, Chic Optique in association with Runyan Law Firm, P.A. and Jasper Kane presented a Sunday T Dance benefit fundraiser to raise money for the Smart Ride team “Love Always Wins” at Jasper Kane Vintage furniture and décor. pisode six of Prince Charming starts out with Lance and Robert coming to the house to give the five remaining guys a test on how well they know Robert. The winner will get a one on one date and also decide the group dates. Justin wins and his date is to an art gallery. First they looked and discussed the art on display and then they drew each other. The second date was dancing and he sent Chad and Dillon on this date. Dillon, who has been a dancer for 20 years was clearly more comfortable on this date. After the dancing, Dillon pulled Robert on the side for about 20 minutes and Chad was feeling very anxious uncomfortable, and eventually walks over to them and tells Robert he is going back to the house. Eric and Brandon went on the Martial Arts Date where they are taught drills and take downs. Robert clearly has a lot of chemistry with these two. At the Tie Ceremony, Chad decided not to keep his tie, as he thinks Robert is not being real, and throws it on the ground. I believe Robert was going to get rid of Dillon as there was definitely chemistry between him and Chad, but we will never know. As you can
see from the interview below, not only is Chad sexy, he is very intelligent!
What made you decide to apply to be on Finding Prince Charming? I was actually approached by the casting directors in the beginning of 2016 through Facebook. I was a bit reluctant at first as I'm not much of a competitive person, but after thinking it through I decided to go along with it. After all, you only live once right, unless of course you're Buddhist.
How did you feel when you found out you got cast? I felt very nervous. I've never done reality TV before and really didn't know what to expect. I must say, everything from start to finish was unexpected. It's been quite a ride! But very exciting!
What was it like when you got the tie? Well, I knew this was the first gay dating show of its kind. So I didn't know what to expect as a token. A flower? A rainbow flag? A bottle of poppers? I kid, I kid. But I thought the black ties were a very wise and classy choice as a token for a connection. And, it was easier to throw on the ground than the other options!
What made you take yourself out of the running for Roberts's heart? There were a number of reasons. First off, I was a little concerned with the fact that Robert kissed practically everyone in the house at the BBQ the day after the masquerade ball, except for Dillon. I mean, how many people can you make out with within an hour? It's as if I, in effect, kissed everyone in the house as well. This isn't a trashy nightclub and it turned me off. I said I don't do players and I meant it. Then, after that, I sensed something was off about Robert on the last date we had at the (empty) salsa club. He seemed too much in character at the time to me and there were moments where I believed he wasn't being genuine and honest about who he was and how he was trying to portray himself. He seemed cold and distant as well when the cameras turned away. So, I felt in my gut as if he was hiding something dark. I also felt disrespected with being left alone for such a long time. I felt like Baby in dirty dancing. And nobody leaves baby in a corner!
crazy bird person haha. But there's a lot more to me than that. I also have two dogs. So, I opened up about growing up with anxiety and depression and many in the community, I believe, can relate to that as well as my coming out story. Back in the day all I had was gay.com. I was speaking to this handsome boy from Sydney and after four years, I traveled over to Australia to meet him. Before I left for my trip, I came out to my family and they accepted me and stood by me ever since. I'm very lucky in that respect. Anyway, I get to Sydney to meet him, and I got stood up. I was catfished. And this is way before catfishing was even a thing.
Now that you are no longer on the show, who do you want Robert to end up with and why? Honestly, I wish Robert all the best and whoever he ends up with must have patience, a strong sense of self and a very thick skin. Also, I'd assume the guy would have to be very financially well off. Robert is a kept boy and he likes nice things. But who doesn't? I'd just prefer to make it on my own and be 50/50 in a relationship.
If you had to do it all over again, would you do anything differently? If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have done it in the first place knowing what I know now. But you live and you learn. There's a silver lining to everything. This show is meant to be bigger than all of us put together. There are a lot of very strong and essential messages that should be discussed in the LGBT community and beyond. I think the show did a very good job at breaking down stigmas and opening up a lot of important topics that we all as a community need to address.
Tell us some things about you that we didn't see on the show? Well, well. I think everyone relates to me as a

novel, the end of Part One caught be completely by surprise, but not only that, I fell in love with the author's very detailed and vivid writing. More than anything, I chose this story because the two women at the center of the story felt so alive.
Why did you decide to move the setting from Victorian England to the Colonial Era of the 1930s, as opposed to another time in Korean history?
Park Chan-wook It is reminiscent of other films that have come from Asia and have developed and perfected different methods of film making. Think of any old Bruce Lee movies or Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and you will know what I mean. The camera work is very different than the traditional American film, and while it was distracting at first, it gives the film an indy vibe while not losing the appeal of the intensely dramatic story. Speaking of the story, there are a lot of twists and turns that keep the viewer on the edge of their seat, as the drama builds. Here is what Park had to say about the film.
Tell us about how you chose this project as your next film.
It was the same as what happened with OLDBOY. Producer Syd Lim came across the source material first, showed it to me and asked, “What do you think?” I'm sure it was the same with other readers, but when I read the

When thinking about such plot elements as a society where there's still the separate class of the nobility, where the occupation of the handmaiden exists, where there's a character who collects rare items, etc., it seemed the only reasonable option. That was an era in which some traditional elements remained, but modernity was just beginning to take hold.
Before shooting, you gave music CDs to the cast and crew. What was your intention with that?
It wasn't that I planned to use the music in the film, but rather I wanted the actors and crew to be able to feel what the atmosphere of the completed film would be like as they made their preparations. There are the drawings in the storyboard, but since music is also effective in creating a mood, I prepared three CDs worth of music and gave it to them.
How would you describe THE HANDMAIDEN, in a few words?
It's a thriller movie, a stor y about swindlers, a dramatic story with several unexpected twists, and more than anything else, a romance. THE HANMAIDEN is set for a limited run at Coral Gables Art Cinema. It opens on Friday October 28 and will run through Thursday November 3. hange the lines that were said before, we're all dreamers, we're all whores. Discarded stars like worn out cars litter the streets of this town." --Jane Wiedlin and Charlotte Caffey's "This Town", The Go-Go's homage to Hollywood. It's so easy to talk about people anonymously. But once you know them and their situations, it becomes quite difficult. Case in point, Brent Corrigan - subject of the film "King Cobra", which I saw at the MiFo LGBT Film Festival in Fort Lauderdale. I used to have lots of fun at Brent's expense. He was young, good-looking, involved in underage porn, and was the center of a dramatic murder case. He was like a gay Traci Lords - with a little Patty Hearst thrown in! Since he appeared to have come out of it better than everyone else involved, I felt he was fair game - even when I was onstage in front of him! Then something terrible happened - I got to know him. Despite not liking my jokes, he was charming and we became friendly. The more I knew, the less funny it all seemed. It should be mentioned that James
//Brent Corrigan// Franco's "King Cobra" was done without Brent's assistance or blessing. And perhaps that's why he comes out of it the least fully realized character. Most of the others comes across as damaged and desperate - specifically the guy who "discovered" and exploited Brent, and the two rival porn producers/stars who wanted to work with Brent. They decide the best way to eliminate Corrigan's binding contract with his mentor is to eliminate the mentor. By the end of the film, you have sympathy for everyone involved - except, ironically, Brent. Corrigan comes out scarred but still standing - and showing off his backside to the camera and winking (his eye, not his ass). The real Brent Corrigan was wise to not get involved. But you would be wise to see this film - even if you think you know it all. Also at the MiFo Festival was "Strike a Pose", the documentary about Madonna's dancers from the "Truth or Dare" film (and the "Blond Ambition" tour). It's hard to imagine how different the world was 25 years ago, and how Madonna really took it all on with not only her best musical material, but also with a show that had all the bells, whistles, singers and dancers to push her agenda. The dancers (except for Gabriel, who died of AIDS in 1995) reunited for this documentary about that time, their experiences, and the aftermath. Madonna, who several of the dancers sued, is no
longer a part of any of their lives. It's clear that "Truth or Dare" captured these guys at their artistic (and physical) peak. And in a way, it ruined them for whatever life would later offer. They tried, they lived in hope, they still hope, but nothing will come close to that time of their lives. It was lovely to see how much personal growth they've gone through. There's a normalcy missing from their lives, but they toured the world with Madonna - that's the trade-off. It's a curious doc that could have (and should have) been so much better. Blame it on the Dutch - it was funded in part by Dutch Public TV. I know it's a small country, but couldn't they find some good mikes? The person I understood the most was Jose's mom - and she was speaking Spanish! Many performers have what I call the "whore mentality" - to become famous at all costs. This leads to some news about the latest whore, Robert Sepulveda from "Finding Prince Charming". First, no recap this week. Please, we saw this meltdown coming a mile away. Logo has announced there will be a second season. From November 3-17, people can post photos of potential suitors. But who will Logo hire to be their next Prince Charming? Too bad RentBoy.com was raided by the feds. That would have been the perfect candidate pool - admittedly, not a pool you'd actually want to swim in. At least not without taking PreP and perhaps a morning-after pill, just in case. I must briefly go back to the MiFo Festival.

When the head of Latinos Salud was discussing the good work his organization does, all I could focus on was his name: Stephen Fallon. When someone's first and last names are the names of Blake and Alexis' children, you can't be surprised when they're gay! Our "Ask Billy" question this week goes back to our first story. Joshua in Chicago asks, "What do you know about Garrett Clayton? He plays Brent Corrigan in that movie and is gorgeous. He must be gay.” Must he? Depends on who you ask. If you ask Garrett, he'll tell you, "I don't really like talking about my personal life. I like a certain amount of veil." Ask yourself this question how many straight men use the word "veil" in a sentence? Exactly. While he's undeniably hot, I don't think he captured Corrigan's je ne sais quoi. He needed more "quoi". What he doesn't need - or want - is more clothing. "I like to be as naked as possible. If friends come over, I'll just have on basketball shorts with no socks, no shirt, and maybe underwear. Aruba is one of the gay-friendliest places to travel in the islands and is known for celebrating diversity. LGBT-friendly accommodations include The Bucuti and Tara Beach Resorts and the gay-owned Little David's Guesthouse. For nightlife, check out Jimmy's Place, the island's premiere gay bar.
Bahamas
Unlike Barbados and Jamaica, The Bahamas have slowly but surely warmed up the LGBT community over the last decade. In addition to various gay and gay-friendly cruises to The Bahamas, the Tiamo Resort in South Andros has gained popularity becoming an International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA) member. Described as “a luxury Robinson Crusoe boutique hotel,� the Tiamo Resort consists of ten exclusives villas built in the traditional Bahamian style.
Cuba
Now that the ban on traveling to Cuba has been lifted, the island has become increasingly popular among travelers. Fidel Castro's daughter, Mariela, heads the Cuban National Center for Sex Education and has advocated for LGBT rights. Many of the island's B&Bs (casas particulares) are gay-friendly. But the hottest spots on the island are Vedado, Havana's de facto gay neighborhood, and Mi Cayito the unofficial gay beach.
Curacao
Hosting the week-long South Caribbean Pride Festival in May, Curacao is one of the most gay-friendly islands in the Caribbean. A whopping 17 hotels and attractions holding membership in the IGLTA. Check out Café de Heeren, Bermuda Caribbean Discotheque and Mambo beach club for an evening of dinner, drinks, music and dancing.
Puerto Rico
Trendy neighborhoods like Condado and Sancture make San Juan one of the most gay-friendly destinations in the Caribbean. The Calle Vendig area features a popular gay beach, weekly drag shows and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Check out the Atlantic Beach Hotel and the gay-owned Oceano. Another popular LGBT destination in Puerto Rico is Vieques Island, which features a variety of LGBT-friendly guesthouses.
St. Martin/St. Maarten
If you're looking for a more lavish retreat, St. Martin/St. Maarten is the place to be. Featuring touches of European culture, this two-culture island is known for its French (St. Martin) and Dutch (St. Maarten) influences. Located near Cupecoy Beach, one of St. Maarten's clothing optional gay beaches, is the Rainbow Beach Club, which is the only gay guesthouse on the island. Additionally, Belmond La Samanna and Sonesta Ocean Point (adults only) are both IGLTA members and are very welcoming the LGBT community. For drag entertainment, head to L'Escargot for French cuisine and a fabulous show.
US Virgin Islands
The U.S. Virgin Islands consist of St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John, which are all accessible to one another by ferry if you're into island hopping. While St. Thomas has a nightlife that caters to the LGBT community, St. Croix is largely considered the “gay mecca” of the U.S. Virgin Islands. In St. Croix travelers can check into the gay guesthouse Sand Castle on the Beach or The Palms at Pelican Cove.

Making America Hate Again?
hen our next president is sworn into office in January, Supreme Court Justices Stephen Breyer will be 78, Anthony Kennedy will be 80, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be 83. They are three of the five justices who in 2013 granted all federal rights to married gay couples, and two years later ruled for nationwide marriage equality. The two other concurring justices in these cases were appointed to the Supreme Court by President Obama. Obama’s two terms brought tremendous LGBT progress. This election will determine whether we continue forward, or go backwards.
Supreme Court decisions, good or bad, can be reversed. The Bowers v. Hardwick ruling of 1986 outrageously affirmed the right of Georgia to arrest gay people for having consensual sex. It was overturned in 2003 when the court deemed state anti-sodomy laws unconstitutional. Could marriage equality be reversed with new Supreme Cour t appointments from Trump? As Sarah Palin would put it, you betcha! Trump told Fox News he would “strongly consider” appointing judges to overturn

marriage equality. He told a Republican audience in Iowa that no matter how they felt about him as a person, they would end up supporting him: “You have to vote for me. You know why? Supreme Court judges.” He has repeatedly assured conservatives that a vote for him will be a vote for a court more hostile to marriage equality, as well as abortion rights. Trump has pledged his court nominations will be in the mold of Antonin Scalia, lauding the late jurist’s “brilliance” and “legacy of protecting Americans’ most cherished freedoms.” But to LGBT Americans, Scalia’s legacy is never missing an opportunity to deny our civil rights and demean us. Scalia was responsible for the most anti-gay invective ever heard from our highest court. In his scathing dissent in the 1996 Romer v. Evans opinion, which ruled that Colorado could not have a blanket ban on anti-discrimination protections for gays, he compared gay people to murderers, polygamists, and animal abusers. At an appearance at Princeton University in 2012, Scalia rhetorically asked, “If we cannot have moral feelings against homosexuality, can we have it against murder?”
third and final presidential debate, Tr u m p s t a t e d h i s c o u r t appointments “will interpret the Constitution the way the founders wanted it interpreted.” The founders signed the Constitution on September 17, 1787, when black people were enslaved, women were disenfranchised, and LGBT people, when not invisible, were scorned or put to death. The founders knew a world where only white, Christian, heterosexual, cisgender men had power and rights.
Trump told Fox News he would “strongly consider” appointing judges to overturn marriage equality. Last spring Trump had a brief moment of enlightenment around LGBT issues. After the Republican governor of North Carolina signed an egregious bill banning LGBT civil rights protections, and further barring transgender people from using the bathroom corresponding to their gender identity, Trump voiced opposition to the legislation. He suggested that North Carolina should just “leave it the way it is,” and that people should have the right to use whichever bathroom “they feel appropriate.” In typical Trump fashion though, this position was short-lived. In less than 24 hours, he was agreeing with Fox News’ Sean Hannity that “local communities and states should make their own decision” as to whether they discriminate against LGBT Americans. As Jordan Weissman of Slate online magazine puts it, Trump tends not to have policy positions; he has “policy moods” that change easily. But Trump has energized conservatives with one policy that hasn’t changed: the Supreme Court must follow the original intent of the U.S. Constitution, enacted over 200 years ago. At the

Trump hopes a significant minority of LGBT voters will overlook his opposition to federal marriage equality, and his support for the right of state and local governments to enshrine discrimination against us into law, all because he uses the words “radical Islamic terrorism.” But in the United States, it is neither shariah law nor terrorism that poses the greatest threat to the LGBT community, and our very democracy. Who cares what they are singing, they’re NAKED! Ronnie Larsen Presents and Tim Evanicki Productions will kick off a new national tour of the hit Off Broadway musical review, "Naked Boys Singing!" at Empire Stage, 1140 N. Flagler Dr. in Fort Lauderdale, Nov. 3 through Dec. 4. The American Vaudeville-style review premiered in 1998 and has been "thrilling" audiences both in New York and around the globe ever since. In 2007, the musical was adapted for film by TLA Releasing. The six-member cast sings such "cheeky" numbers as "Gratuitous Nudity," "The Bliss of a Bris," "Fight the Urge" and "Perky Little Porn Star." The show is popular with both straight and LGBT audiences alike, as well as "naturists." Opening night at Empire Stage sold out more than two months in advance. "Obviously, the nudity hooks curious audiences into purchasing tickets," explained producer and director Tim Evanicki, a Juilliard grad now based in Orlando. "But, after the first song, audiences become so charmed by the show and the songs; they quickly seem to forget the cast is performing naked." E x e c u t i v e p ro d u c e r Ro n n i e L a r s e n ,
playwright of another Off Broadway hit, "Making Porn," said the timing for the revival is appropriate, given the tense presidential campaign and endless barrage of nasty political ads on television: " 'Naked Boys Singing!' is one of those shows that allows performers and audiences to cut loose just a little bit. Following the South Florida run at Empire Stage, the production will transfer to Atlanta's 7 Stages Theatre, Jan. 4 - 22, and then to Savannah.
