How did you come up with the idea? I was watching TV and saw two men running the high heel race and they were wearing these decorated pink bras and pink heals. I laughed and thought to myself, what a great idea in showing support; grown broad-shouldered men wearing a bra that barely fit. These men were man enough to wear pink and a bra at the same time. It was humorous, a great concept and the so idea was born.

Have you had someone close to you get breast cancer? I have not had a female in my life that has had to live with breast cancer, however I have a very dear female friend of mine that did die from cancer. I witnessed the daily pain and agony that she went through. I felt helpless, there was nothing I could do but show support and be there when I was needed.

What is one of the best highlight moments that have happened during the event? I love it when these muscular gym-bodied men get up on stage wearing a decorated pink bra. You can tell they feel just a little embarrassed or uncomfortable, then when the auction starts they start feeling empowered and want to show there NEW over-the-shoulder boulderholders to the world. Their confidence and enthusiasm is priceless. It's as if they are playing with a new toy.

How can someone get involved in the fundraising event? Anyone can get involved, male or female, personally or a business. Just go out and

purchase a pink bra, decorate or bling it up, bring it and a model to wear it on stage. We will do the rest by auctioning it off to the crowd and all the proceeds to directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The idea is to have your bra raise the most money, some of the ways to do that is to add incentives to the bra like matching items, gift certificates, just be creative. Then, bring along some friends and have them bid against each other to raise the bid higher. If you're a business- collect donations, then add those donations to the package and get the highest bid on the bra. It's a good way to promote your business, have a few laughs and a great time. Remember it all goes to a good cause. They will also be holding a silent auction, another great way to promote your business, so we are accepting those donations as well. We will be providing the paperwork necessary for your business to use this event as a charitable tax donation, upon request.

The event will be held at The Boardwalk Bar 1721 N Andrews Ave Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311; 954-463th 6969. Monday October 17 starting at 8:00 pm. Local celebrities will be hosting the event during the auction and the silent auctions will start at 7:00 pm. If you would like a participation package, email kbroady2013@aol.com. Packets are also available at The Boardwalk Bar front door. Photos by Dennis Dean
