· The Café at Books & Books, located inside the Carnival Tower, will host author conversations from 2 to 3 p.m., and again from 4 to 5 p.m. Authors will be announced soon. · The Center's Green Room Society (GRS) and the Silent Revolution team up to present the first Silent Disco Party at the Arsht Center's Peacock Foundation Studio from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to select from 3 different DJ/music styles available on personal headphones provided. Singing out loud and dancing are encouraged! Cash bar will be available for refreshments. · Free screening of the film Rising Tide: A Story of Miami Artists provided by WLRN at 5 p.m. in the Carnival Studio Theater. · Farmers Market Florida-grown seasonal fruits and vegetables, meats, prepared food and beverages will be available for purchase on the Thomson Plaza for the Arts from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Complimentary parking will be available in Lot C (1201 NE 2nd Ave.) throughout the day. In addition to the ARTSLAUNCH2016 activities, the Arsht Center's box office will be open throughout the day, offering guests a chance to
be one of the first to buy tickets for 50+shows in the 2016-2017 season - with no handling fees all day* (in-person only).
