-We initially take a brief from our client - designers, developers and owners. Identifying the scope of requirements, the budget and timelines.
-We then source and custom make locally and worldwide for “fit for purpose” selections, specific to your project. A pictorial quote is developed. This may go through a number of iterations before final selections are made.
-Items are procured, including bespoke project specific items, after design and function approvals are received.
-Freight consolidation is co-ordinated and managed by our experienced team.
-Installation and set up is available if required - right down to laundered linens on beds and fresh flowers in vases!

Protecting our environment matters.
Responsible purchasing is a common request as we become more aware on how and what we use impacts our environment.
Six Senses is a luxury five star resort where attention to sustainabilty and eco-friendly products is paramount. They are solar powered, produce and bottle their own water in glass (no single use plastic bottles at this resort), guests are encouraged to use recyclable containers and more. It’s an impressive undertaking that we were pleased to be a part of.
The Hotel Space worked alongside the designer’s to provide a comprehensive OS&E package to service all areas of the resort, and private villas. Six Senses was different in that we were required to provide products from around the world that aligned with the company ethos of eco-friendly, sustainable, culturally appropriate, fit for purpose, on-time & budget.
So we sourced organic, hand-made natural fibre beds from the UK and luxury, sustainable hotel quality linen from the USA.
Stunning towels and bathrobes from South America that maintain luxury yet require less electricity and water to wash - this company has the Butterfly Mark from Positive Luxury and has an impressive product range.
Operating equipment has a focus on a natural organic aesthetic. Glassware - much of which is recycled. Woven products, wood and NZ made ceramics are favoured which look beautiful on their servery.
Using natural products enhances the local Fijian design, complimenting the guest experience and immersion in such a beautiful natural environment.
Wood and stone are preferred for planters and serving trays, Moroccan hand-blown recycled glassware, reusable chalkboard signs all re-inforce the sustainable, eco-friendly story. Dinnerware was chosen for it’s robust nature, reducing the breakage rate and therefore creating a reduced replacement footprint.
It feels good to be part of the solution to reducing environmental issues.

AGED CARE
The Hotel Space team have worked with industry leaders in this space, we have a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
The specialised needs of our aged care clients are always at the forefront of our design and product selection. We understand that items need to be beautiful, but stable; and spaces should be inclusive for all clients including those with visibility and mobility needs.
Working with clients and designers we are well versed in curating furniture packages suited to the design brief aesthetic and budget. We add value by understanding the needs of our clients when sourcing fabrics, furniture items, objet and amenities.
Fabrics need to be beautiful but robust, soft, easy to clean and hygenic. Furniture must be stable, but easy to move and store for caregivers. Seat heights should be raised for easy launch, and where possible armrests should be included along side upright and supportive back rests. Coffee and side tables should be stable with generous height and easy clean surfaces. The footprint of all furniture should be neat and flush, minimizing potential hazards to the visually impaired or those using mobility apparatus.

Our bespoke offering scope ranges from custom furniture, cabinetry, lighting and soft furnishings right through to artwork, artefacts and dinnerware. We collaborate with designers, artists and producers to provide bespoke unique pieces suited to our clients requirements, considering all aspects of the design intent, budget, location and programme.
Recently we worked with The Hotel Britomart to produce custom furniture for their private events space. The Hotel Britomart is New Zealand’s only 5 Green Star rated hotel with great emphasis on sustainability in all aspects of hotel operations, from construction, to finishes used, upholstery fabrics, furniture throughout. Sourcing locally as much as realistically possible to reduce their carbon footprint and support local.
The brief was to produce beautifully crafted, locally made pieces. We sourced NZ native ancient swamp kauri from mills in Northland, designed and produced dining/conference tables with a natural live edges and butterfly detailing meaning each table is unique. As the space is multipurpose it was important to offer versatile pieces that could be easily stored when not in use.
We supplied custom dining chairs with genuine leather seat pads and sculpted back rests to offer added comfort to guests sitting for long periods.
The “piece de resistance” was the Mobile bar units we designed inhouse, produced locally by craftsmen with an incredible eye for detail who meticulously hand finished each unit to perfection.

These bespoke units made of timber and stone, housed discreet induction hobs for gentle warming of servery and are used throughout all of dining and event spaces within the hotel. For this reason, it was key that The Hotel Space produced pieces that tied in seamlessly with existing furniture throughout the property.
The end result was a bespoke furniture package offering a versatile range of furniture pieces suited for an array of uses.
