Professional Development Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Certificate Program Gain an understanding of basic refrigeration theories and principles. Learn the basics of heat, heat flow, refrigerants, temperature and the pressure-temperature relationship within the refrigeration system. Review proper soldering and brazing techniques through hands-on practice. Upon the completion of all three levels, students will be eligible to take the Universal Recovery EPA Exam. Upon passing the exam, you will receive an EPA Universal Recovery Certificate. Employment opportunities include Service Technicians and Air Conditioning Technicians. The program consists of three levels of 60-hour instruction totaling 180 hours. Prerequisites: High School Diploma or GEDŠ and Signed Conduct Contract. Textbooks not included. Basic Electrical Residential Wiring Thirty hours of electrical instruction that include safety and hands-on practice in residential wiring. The course will focus on combining electrical theory with practice to help students develop safety skills required to perform electrical work. Installation and basic electrical repairs will be covered. Students will be required to purchase proper electrical tools and materials to be used in the classroom.
