Thompsons Food Service is run by three generations of butchers, with over 60 years experience in supplying not only to retail customers but the catering industry. We rear our own poultry on our own farms mainly for the festive period. We supply a large number of catering establishments such as 5 Star Restaurants, Cafes, Nursing Homes, Schools and Holiday Parks to name just a few.
Along with around 6,000 different products, we also supply a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables, including vegetables prepared in our own on-site preparation area at the customer’s request.
We deliver seven days a week mainly to the Great Yarmouth area. We take orders for same day delivery to the local area, but larger orders should be placed the day before required or left overnight on the answer phone.
The Cash and Carry is also open to the public seven days a week with free car parking available.
It is our company’s aim to supply wholesome products, which are competitively priced to encompass the various food sectors of the market place. We have a broad spectrum of products that are suited to the various levels of customer requirements whether it is price sensitive or to an exacting specification.

As a company Thompsons Food Service Ltd is aware of our environmental responsibilities. With this in mind over the last 4 years Thompsons Food Service has invested over £250,000 in environmentally efficient installations at our site. In 2017 Thompson Food Services won The Confex Green Wholesaler of the year. Following this victory we have continued our investments, this helped us to become runners up in 2023, this is down to the new 350+ pallet cold freezer we have installed. This was made to be one of the most environmentally friendly freezers available today.

On dispatch from Thompsons Food Service Ltd your order is promptly transported in one of our fleet of refrigerated vehicles. Each vehicle is fully equipped with temperature monitoring systems, with most vehicles having the capability of printing temperature receipts on delivery.
We deliver throughout East Anglia, and depending on the location these deliveries will be daily, twice weekly or weekly. Please contact us to arrange exact delivery times if required.

We have also installed 200 solar panels on The Cash and Carry, equivalent to 13 domestic homes.

All goods are supplied Cash on Delivery except where credit facilities have been arranged. Monthly accounts are due for payment as agreed between Thompsons Food Service Ltd and the customer. Account customers will revert to Cash on Delivery should the account not adhere to its credit terms.

All items featured in this brochure are subject to availability. Sizes and product information is for guidance only and may vary. Some products illustrated may not be current stock items, but we are happy to take specialist orders as long as they meet minimum order quantities with the manufacturer/supplier. At times when stock is not available we may send an alternative item without prior warning. If the alternative is not required they can be returned with the driver (but must be marked on the invoice).
All goods should be checked at the time of delivery and no credits for damage or shortages will be given unless signed for at the time of delivery. Claims for shortages or damage must be notified within 24 hours of receipt of goods. Goods from previous deliveries cannot be returned without prior consent from Thompsons Food Service. Collections are welcome. Please phone in your order at least 60 minutes before your departure, we will have your order process and picked on your arrival.
While we make every effort to ensure all additions to orders are fulfilled, there are times when the order has already been despatched and therefore we cannot guarantee same day delivery. At times when stock is not available we may
