Next to our seam is a small protection which prevents the seam from opening during a crash.

In our new jackets we use stretch material almost exclusively. This is abrasion-resistant, helps when climbing and creates enough space when deploying the airbag.

#3 CUT

#4 WEATHER PANEL

The jacket is cut shorter at the front so that it doesn‘t bump when you lie on the tank. The back is cut longer so that the back is not exposed when you lie on the front.

An additional seam makes sure that water that has entered the zipper does not enter the jacket.

#5 STORM-HOOD Storm hoods are integrated into all waterproof jackets. We have attached hooks on the front to fix the hood. This prevents water from penetrating the jacket.

#6 WEB REINFORCEMENT To prevent the ventilation openings from opening in the event of a fall, a small band is sewn in to prevent the ventilation opening from opening more than 4 cm.

#7 LOCK FUNCTION

#9 COLOR CODES

An ingenious function is hidden behind the YKK-zipper. When folded forwards, the zipper can be opened easily; when folded backwards, it is fixed in place.

There are color codes on the lining and sleeves. These help to ensure that you attach the lining correctly and do not twist it.

#8 ZIP-PULLER

#10 BELT LOOP

The zip-puller is not a design element, but is there so that you can open the zipper with your glove.

There is a belt-loop on the trousers, which keeps the trousers in place and prevents the jacket from sliding up.

WE HAVE MADE IT! After 31,000 kilometers, Alain and I have reached the Cape of Good Hope. Behind us lies a journey like a rollercoaster ride. There were countless wonderful days along the way, but there were also days when we would have preferred to throw in the towel and were incredibly frustrated. But even though it was difficult at times, we never lost our humor or confidence until the end. Now, standing together in this storm-tossed place in South Africa feels indescribably good after all that we have experienced. Elspeth Beard is the first woman to circumnavigate the world on a motorcycle. In 1981 she drove 80,000 km in a R60 Boxer BMW.

In the first motorcycle race there were only two competitors.

The name “iXS” came from a discussion where people no longer knew what to call the brand.

The very first motorcycle suit was made of wool and was therefore called the “Teddy Bear” suit.

In 1912, Carl Clancey Stearns drove around the world for the first time; he drove a Henderson- his journey took 11 months to finish.

The first knee protectors were made of visor parts that were attatched with tape.

FACTS

In Formula 1 a helmet costs between 3’000 and 12’000 CHF, but in Moto GP it costs the same as in store.

Until 1980 there was no obligation to wear a helmet in Switzerland.

Gloves that were used for racing are made of kangaroo leather on the outside and goatskin on the inside.

The longest route you can take on a motorcycle is called “Panamerica”. It goes through 17 nations - from Alaska to Argentina.

Next to our seam is a small protection which prevents the seam from opening during a crash.

In our new jackets we use stretch material almost exclusively. This is abrasion-resistant, helps when climbing and creates enough space when deploying the airbag.

#3 CUT

#4 WEATHER PANEL

The jacket is cut shorter at the front so that it doesn‘t bump when you lie on the tank. The back is cut longer so that the back is not exposed when you lie on the front.

An additional seam makes sure that water that has entered the zipper does not enter the jacket.

#5 STORM-HOOD

#6 WEB REINFORCEMENT

Storm hoods are integrated into all waterproof jackets. We have attached hooks on the front to fix the hood. This prevents water from penetrating the jacket.

To prevent the ventilation openings from opening in the event of a fall, a small band is sewn in to prevent the ventilation opening from opening more than 4cm.

#8 ZIP-PULLER

An ingenious function is hidden behind the YKK-zipper. When folded forwards, the zipper can be opened easily; when folded backwards, it is fixed in place.

The zip-puller is not a design element, but is there so that you can open the zipper with your glove.

There are color codes on the lining and sleeves. These help to ensure that you attach the lining correctly and do not twist it.

There is a belt-loop on the trousers, which keeps the trousers in place and prevents the jacket from sliding up.
