ABOUT INFINITE SCHOLARS The INFINITE SCHOLARS Program is a nonprofit organization founded in 2003

by Thomas “T” Ousley, who taught high school English and History for 29 years with the Jennings (MO) School District.

For nearly two decades, the INFINITE SCHOLARS Program has served more than 200,000 students and facilitated more than $2 Billion Dollars in scholarship and financial aid.

OUR MISSION The mission of the INFINITE SCHOLARS Program is to provide all students, especially low income and first generation high school students of diversity, with access to resources, guidance, and funding necessary to successfully further their education at accredited institutions of high education.

MR. THOMAS OUSLEY While teaching, Mr. Ousley worked on many mentoring and educational initiatives to assist low- income students to attend college. He found that too few of his students, who deserved to go to college, actually enrolled because they believed they could not afford to go.

Mr. Ousley began the INFINITE SCHOLARS Program to ensure that financially disadvantaged students deserving to go to college could receive the funding they needed. Today, nearly 80% of all Infinite Scholars participants attend college.

VICE PRESIDENT

DR. LAURA DORSEY Dr. Dorsey has been a university professor for more than 20 years. Her passion for facilitating student success is manifested in her college orientation courses where she helps students lay the groundwork and develop habits for a successful academic career.

Dr. Dorsey is INFINITE SCHOLARS Vice President for Mission and Engagement. She ensures that the organizations efforts, in over 28 cities, remain true to the Infinite Scholars’mission and maintain high standards of excellence. She also works with local organizers to expand and enhance their fairs, as well as their mentoring and outreach activities.

She also works with college admissions directors to help them create a pipeline of quality candidates for their schools. Dr. Dorsey also leads expansion and has conducted over 100 fairs attended by more than 10,000 students.

REGIONAL PARTNER WE INVEST IN PEOPLE The HORUS mission is to maximize business performance and professional potential by genuinely investing in people and fostering a culture of inclusiveness and equitable business practices that help individuals and business reach their full potential.

The objective of the HORUS Academy ongoing outreach is multi-tiered. First, we are redefining mentor protege relationships. Our team is fully committed to our HORUS Academy apprenticeship program, which combines paid employment, supervised on the job training, and specialized instruction to enhance participant’s career options and opportunities. Our on going Project Workforce Development helps us stay connected to our community and create local economic stability and sustainability. Our program is devoted to tapping into the local market to infuse workforce opportunities that highlight leadership opportunities for women and traditionally marginalized communities. We also offer a second chance program to previously incarcerated individuals, providing apprenticeships and on-the-job training opportunities. Over 90% of the HORUS Construction workforce is in the state of Florida, and 100% of the HORUS team makes over the average livable wage!

REGIONAL PARTNER COMMITTED TO OPPORTUNITerrie Daniel is the Assistant Vice President of Supplier Diversity at the University of South Florida. Terrie is responsible for the development , direction, and management of the University’s Supplier Diversity program. This includes the development of strategic plan to support the foundational structure of the program, building a support team of professionals and diverse supply chain management, spend analysis and forecasting for diverse supplier participation within all USF campuses.

Prior to joining the University of South Florida, Terrie Daniel was the Deputy Commissioner of the State of Indiana Department of Administration, where she served under the administration of Governor Mike Pence as the lead primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all supplier diversity initiatives for the State of Indiana. She is also a member of the American Contract Compliance Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and continues to serves many non-profit organizations as a volunteer. Ms. Daniel received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Computer Information Systems from Ferris State University and a Master’s degree in Contract Compliance from Morgan State University.

INFINITE SCHOLARS SCHOLARSHIP FAIR HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY 2022 Hillsborough County, FL | January 2022 HORUS Academy, in collaboration with the University of South Florida, is hosting the FREE 2022 Tampa Infinite Scholars Scholarship Fair. High school juniors and seniors are invited to meet representatives from accredited colleges and universities from across the nation, along with the US Army. In addition, parents are encouraged to attend the free scholarship fair with their children to explore available scholarship and admissions opportunities.

Some colleges award admissions and scholarships on site. Therefore, students are strongly encouraged to bring several copies of their SAT/ACT scores, unofficial transcripts, letters of recommendation and personal essay statement entitled “Why I Want to Attend College”.
