Dieses besondere Reitsportzentrum im Süden Kärntens habe ich für meine Frau Kathrin errichtet und ihr im Jahr 2010 die Verantwortung für die internationale Positionierung des GHPC Austria und Netherlands übergeben. Auch bei der diesjährigen Dressage International hat meine Gattin und Geschäftsführerin Kathrin Glock wieder alles darangesetzt, allerbeste Rahmenbedingungen für die Aktiven, ihre Pferde und auch für alle Zuschauer zu schaffen. Dear Equestrian Sports Fans, Competitors and Spectators, It is a great pleasure for me to welcome you to the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER. I built this special equestrian centre in the south of Carinthia for my wife Kathrin and in 2010 handed over to her the responsibility for the international positioning of the GHPC Austria and Netherlands. At this year’s Dressage International once again, my wife and managing director Kathrin Glock has made a great effort to create the best possible conditions for riders and their horses, as well as for all the spectators. You can look forward to a superb event with top performances from the world’s best dressage riders and their horses. The tournaments at the GHPC have become very popular equestrian sports events. As mayor of the market town of Treffen, I am proud to have such excellent events in our region. This dressage tournament once again guarantees extraordinary equestrianism and plenty of excitement. Das GHPC ist vom 28. bis 31. Mai erneut Austragungsort für eines der atemberaubendsten Dressurturniere der Welt. Unter dem Motto „Horses and Stars“ werden bei der Dressage International wieder viele international erfolgreiche Reiter begrüßt und ein einzigartiges Programm mit viel Abwechslung und Spannung geboten. Als Sportdirektor des Österreichischen Pferdesportverbandes wünsche ich allen Aktiven sowie dem Organisationsteam viel Erfolg bei der Veranstaltung und den Zusehern ein spannendes Dressurwochenende!
Auch dieses Jahr freut es uns sehr, an einem der schönsten Turniere der Welt, der Dressage International im GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER teilzunehmen. As sports director of the Austrian Equestrian Sports Association, OEPS, I would like to wish all participants and the organising team every success at the event, and an exciting dressage weekend for the spectators.
We are very pleased to again be taking part in one of the best tournaments in the world, the Dressage International at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER . DIE TRAVERSALE
ist eine VorwärtsSeitwärts-Bewegung im Trab oder im Galopp. HALF-PASS
is where the horse moves forward and sideways at a trot or canter.
Eleganz auf 20 x 60 Metern: 20 x 40 m bzw. 60 m sind die Abmessungen des Dressurvierecks. In jedem Bewerb wird eine spezielle Dressuraufgabe geritten, die aus mehreren Lektionen besteht. Je nach Reglement wird die Aufgabe auswendig oder auf Ansage geritten. Im Häuschen: die Richter Direkt am Viereck nehmen die Richter Platz. Die Noten, die sie vergeben können, reichen von 0 (= nicht gezeigt) bis 10 (= ausgezeichnet). Sitz und Hilfen des Reiters, die Bewegungen und die Rittigkeit des Pferdes sowie die korrekte Ausführung der Lektionen haben Einfluss auf die Bewertung. Je höher die Klasse, desto schwieriger werden die gestellten Aufgaben.

Wann ist es Perfektion? Ein gutes Indiz: Pferd und Reiter kommunizieren scheinbar unsichtbar miteinander! Ist es eine Freude, dem Paar zuzusehen, weil ihre Vorstellung durch Anmut, Eleganz und Leichtigkeit geprägt ist, weil beide frei und ohne Zwang agieren, dann darf man ruhig applaudieren ... Lasst die Pferde tanzen! Bei der Musikkür darf der Reiter selber einteilen, in welcher Reihenfolge er die vorgeschriebenen Lektionen zeigt. Das hat den Vorteil, dass man Musik und Reiterei aufeinander abstimmen kann – wie beim Tanzen! Die Richter bewerten bei der Musikkür auch den künstlerischen, choreografischen und technischen Wert.

Elegance on 20 x 60 metres The dimensions of the dressage arena are 20 x 40 m or 20 x 60 m. Every competition cons-ists of a special dressage test with a sequence of several movements. Competitors either learn them off by heart or receive commands, depending on the rules.
When is perfection reached? A good indication: horse and rider seem to communicate seamlessly with each other. If it is a pleasure to watch the two together because their performance exhibits lightness, grace and elegance, as it all looks relaxed and effortless, please feel free to applaud...
Panel of judges The judges sit round the arena. They can award scores ranging from zero (i.e. not executed) to ten (i.e. excellent). Scores for each block depend on the rider’s seat, effectiveness of aids, the horse’s gait and movements, and the correct performance of the tests. The higher the class, the more difficult the tests set.
Let the horses dance! In the musical freestyle test the riders themselves can decide in what order they execute the prescribed movements. It has the advantage that they can actually ride to the music – just like dancing! The judges also award technical and artistic marks, primarily the choreography, for the freestyle tests.

Dank Familie Glock stehen ab Juni Krankenbett, Sauerstoff und rollstuhlgerechte Zimmer bereit. Kinder in Not dürfen hier einen unvergesslichen Sommer mit den außergewöhnlichsten Pferden der Welt erleben!

Seriously ill children have few opportunities to be carefree and light-hearted, but we make it possible at e.motion at the Lichtblickhof farm! Gentle horses that carry their riders carefully through the woods, exciting stories around a campfire and sleeping under the stars. A team of therapists, nurses and special needs teachers help and keep the children safe. The horses give the kids wings, make them proud and give even terminally ill children the chance to excel. Thanks to the Glock Family, hospital beds, oxygen and rooms with wheelchair access will be available from June. Children in need can spend an unforgettable summer here with the most special horses in the world!
