2ND SEMESTER
Recognition & Awards of Academic Achievement
a) PERFECT ATTENDANCE AWARD is given at the end of each quarter or semester to students who have been present each instructional day. These students will have no excused/unexcused absences or tardies. School sanctioned activities will not be held against these students.
b) MOST IMPROVED AWARD is given at the end of each semester to students who demonstrate tremendous growth academically and/or behaviorally in a particular subject area over the course of a semester. Each content teacher will select one student.
c) CITIZENSHIP AWARD is given at the end of each quarter or semester to students who demonstrate a positive attitude toward classmates, school staff, the community, and display an understanding and appreciation of civic responsibility. These students are recommended by their homeroom teacher. Each Homeroom will give one award. Behavior is considered in this award. Students receiving a “needs improvement”, has excessive (more than 4) unexcused absences, excessive (more than 4) unexcused tardies, or have been suspended for any reason will not qualify for this award.
d) HONOR ROLL AWARD is given at the end of each quarter or semester to students who receive any combination of A’s & B’s in all subjects. The total average of all grades must be at least 92.5% with NO individual grades below 82.5 % (No Cs, Ds, or Fs). Behavior is considered in this award. Students receiving a “needs improvement”, who have excessive (more than 4) unexcused absences, excessive (more than 4) unexcused tardies, or have been suspended for any reason will not qualify for this award.
e) PRINCIPAL’S LIST/STRAIGHT A’s AWARD is given at the end of each quarter or semester to students who receive A’s (92.5% or higher) in all subjects. Behavior is considered in this award. Students receiving a “needs improvement”, who have excessive (more than 4) unexcused absences, excessive (more than 4) unexcused tardies, or have been suspended for any reason will not qualify for this award.

a)ACCELERATED READER AWARD is given to the student in each grade level who read the most words and most books in the school year 2023-2024.
b) ACHIEVE 3000 MASTERY AWARD is given to the TOP 3 students with the highest lexile level in the entire 8th Grade Level.
c) IXL MASTERY AWARD is awarded to the TOP 3 students with the highest number of GRADE LEVEL skills mastered.
d) PRESIDENTIAL EDUCATION AWARDS PROGRAM (PEAP) SILVER AWARD is given to students with a “B” average (92% -82.5%) or recommendation of the teachers will receive the Presidential Silver Award.
e) PRESIDENTIAL EDUCATION AWARDS PROGRAM (PEAP) GOLD AWARD is given to students towards the end of the school year; students with an“A”average (100% - 92.5%) will receive the Presidential Gold Award.
