COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

With a master’s degree in sculpture from the University of Washington, I started my career in the fine arts world teaching courses and creating works for galleries. My love of working with my hands, collaboration, and curiosity about how things are made led me to full time interior design and art direction. Ten years of experience as a designer, has honed my creative and organizational skills. Outside of designing, I am most happy in nature with my family, working on my amateur mushroom foraging skills.
We believe the creative process should be as much fun as it is thoughtful and work with partners who help us achieve custom results. We turn challenges into opportunities and take them on with an empathetic approach. Above all... we know how to get things done.
I also go by Hops (from my roller derby years). I’ve spent the majority of my 20+ years of my design career working with two small studios in Madison, Wisconsin. Being a part of a small studio means you learn how to wear a lot of hats which has molded me into the nimble, curious, designer that I am today. When I am not fretting over fonts and design you can find me biking to breweries, traveling to listen to good music or hanging out with my two dogs and two cats.
I grew up in Southern California and earned an MBA in Boston where I wrote my first restaurant business plan. Since then, I’ve created, designed, and operated over twenty restaurants. I value the collaborative process and comprehensive approach that entrepreneurs must take on their journey to open and develop their hospitality business. I have been known to spend way too much time on designing custom restaurant furniture and lighting. When not working, I’m usually dining out, taking an urban hike, or traveling to the sun.
