Art/Drama/Dance Beginning Flamenco for Kids

Grades K-5 Jana Mora Learn the dance of the Gypsies of Andalusia Spain. Class covers Flamenco footwork, arms, hands, turns, clapping, and choreography. No dance experience necessary. Ballet, Tap & Jazz Dance

Grades K-6 Gretchen Novak A combo class consisting of three styles of dance! Learn the foundation for all styles of dance with ballet training. Showtime! Twelve Dancing Princesses

Grades 1-5 Stages Theatre Company Twelve sisters, all princesses, share a bedroom in which they are locked each night. Each morning their shoes are found to have been worn through! Who has been dancing in those shoes? Maybe it’s your little actor! Boys and girls will explore movement and fairy tales with a Stages Teaching Artist as their guide. Students will share an informal performance during the last class. Lego Minecraft Engineering

Grades 2-6 Computer Explorers From the hit video game, Minecraft, comes our awesome Lego and paper crafts class. Student builders will be creating mob figures, custom blocks, torches, mosaics, custom biomes, and terrains from the Minecraft video game! We will use both cardboard paper crafts and Legos to create our worlds. Builders will be challenged to bring their virtual designs from the game to life and get to take home a daily project. Grades K-6 Camp Royal Staff School’s out January 26 — join us for tons of fun, games, and activities at Camp Royal on the January 26 non-school day! This fun-filled day at Camp Royal will include an age-appropriate movie at Willow Creek Theater and pizza before we head to the movie. Students will be grouped by age for a “G” or a “PG” movie. In addition, we will have a special live reptile and amphibian presentation from Three Rivers Park District! Register early, we expect this fun opportunity to fill fast.
