An Overview of Cuevas Medek Exercises for Children CME stands for CuevasMEDEK Exercise or the Dynamic Method of Kinetic Stimulation (MEDEK). This is actually a physiotherapy form that was created and developed by Chilean physical therapist, Ramon Cuevas. This form of physiotherapy is being used to help children with different types of physical and movement difficulties. This helps to improve gross motor skills. There are many prestigious pediatric clinics that offer Cuevas Medek exercises by certified therapists. Cuevas-Medek-Exercises consists of a series of specific exercises that are designed to instill the automatic responses of a child. MEDEK therapy revolves around advanced training for young children to help them make significant improvements in core movements. This helps a child to sit, stand, and walk on their own.

This training actually trains the muscles to perform various movements. These movements lead to the development of the brain. With CME therapy, children learn to work against the influence of gravity. With time and continuous exercise, children tend to develop better motor skills. They learn head and trunk control, standing, walking, and more.
