La MURAILLE de SAVASSE

Notre projet de fin de licence au sein du studio de Gilles Marty consistait à redynamiser un territoire drômois, localisé aux niveaux des villages de Savasse, Sauzet et Marsanne, à proximité de Montélimar. Qualifiés de villages « dortoirs », ceux-ci constituent des lieux de passage, mais ne bénéficient pas d’une attractivité touristique importante, bien qu’ayant un patrimoine très riche. Cette richesse du terroir se retrouve à la fois dans les ressources présentes, que dans la culture et l’histoire de ces village qui définit tout leur caractère.

Nous avons pu en prendre pleinement conscience au cours des deux workshops que nous avons effectués sur place et durant lesquels nous avons pu visiter ces trois villages ainsi que leurs environs.

Ils nous ont permis d’aller à la rencontre des habitants et des élus. Dès nos premiers échanges, nous avons pris conscience de leur différentes attentes et ambitions pour le développement de leur territoire. Nous avons alors pu constater qu’il y avait de nombreux enjeux en termes de mobilité et de communication de leurs richesses, dans le but de créer de l’activité et de l’économie.

Ce territoire est très diversifié, autant dans ces ressources que dans ses paysages. Il est caractérisé par les champs de culture, la forêt, ou encore la présence du Rhône, et présente une topographie entre plaines et vallons.

Lors de la conception du projet, nous avons opté pour différentes stratégies.

Premièrement nous nous devions de protéger la ruine de son effondrement, 2 ainsi nous l’avons fortifié par une arase sur le dessus, qui permet de servir de base pour notre future intervention. Dans un second temps, nous avons minimisé nos points d’accroche sur la muraille en utilisant une structure indépendante afin de ne pas s’appuyer dessus. Ainsi, l’ensemble du projet est défini par une succession de lames en bois très fines qui constituent à la fois la structure, l’enveloppe, et le garde-corps du projet.
