WMH Advisory Board to Meet
The Wright Memorial Hospital Community Advisory Board will meet on Thursday, May 4 at 11:45 a.m. in the Education Center at the hospital.

Fireworks Donations Sought
A fireworks display is planned in Trenton on Monday, July 3 to celebrate the Independence Day holiday.
A committee of local residents, chaired by Cole Soptic, is currently seeking donations to help pay for the event. It is hoped that around $5,000 can be raised to pay for the show, with fireworks to be shot off from an area near the Rock Barn at dusk on July 3.
Individuals, businesses and organizations wanting to make a contribution can do so my leaving their donation at the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce office, Farmers State Bank, Trenton Abstract and Title or the law office of Tara Walker. Donations can also be mailed to the chamber at PO Box 233, Trenton, MO 64683. Checks should have “fireworks” written in the notation line. For more information about the event, persons can contact Cole Soptic at Farmers State Bank or call the chamber at 359-4324.
TMU Semi Annual Flushing
Trenton Municipal Utilities staff began flushing the distribution system Wednesday, April 12th , 2023 and will continue for the next three weeks. Crews will begin flushing the area east of the Railroad tracks to Hwy 65. This is a semi-annual requirement of the water treatment process. This routine maintenance improves the quality of your drinking water. There may be some discolored water during the hours of flushing, which will be Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It is recommended to run the water for a short period of time to make sure that the water is clear before doing laundry or waiting until after flushing hours. You may also experience low water pressure for periods of time. For any questions contact the Water Treatment Plant 660-359-3211.
Child Safety Compliance Operation
On Tuesday, April 11, 2023, members of the Trenton Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, conducted a child safety compliance operation near S.M. Rissler Elementary School. During the enforcement operation, 6 citations were issued for occupant restraint related violations. This operation is the product of proven successful communications and cooperation between local and state agencies. Anyone having complaints about traffic related violations in their neighborhood is encouraged to contact the Trenton Police Department by calling 660-3592121.

New Members Installed, New President Elected
The Trenton R-IX Board of Education met in regular session Tuesday night to certify the recent election results and install new members.
The meeting was called to order and after approving the consent agenda, high school artist Aubree Dalrymple was recognized and her award winning mixed media piece “Colors of Freedom” will be displayed in the District Office Art Gallery.
Next, the election results were certified and made official with a 7-0 vote.
Outgoing Board Member Jason Hostetler was honored for his service by the board and given a gift and plaque.
New member Ronda Lickteig and re-elected members Brandon Gibler and Andy Burress were then sworn in by Board Secretary Michelle Hixon. Once the new board was seated with the addition of Lickteig, nominations and
