Local Farm Tour Held

Local landowners got a trolley ride through pastures at Corey Wilkinson’s farm near Plattsburg last week. They were on the trolley as part of a Small Farm Day run by the Clinton County University of Missouri Extension Council. The focus of the tour was Wilkinson’s management of his pastures and commercial beef herds. Field Specialist in Livestock Jim Humphrey assisted with the tour and answered questions along the route. Field Specialist in Agricultural Business Denise Ferguson later gave advice about making financial and strategic decisions on small acreages.
