Waggoner added that all city employees have taken a CPR course that included AED training, but said that AEDs are incredibly easy to use because they come with directive diagrams and voice prompts.
“In addition to those acquired for the police department, the city is in the process of acquiring three additional, fixed-location AEDs,” Waggoner said.
“The city purchased an AED to keep at Plattsburg City Hall. The Park Board purchased a second AED to keep on-site at Perkins Park in case a medical emergency happens during a baseball or softball game. The Cameron Regional Medical Center Foundation has agreed to donate a third AED to the city the be used at Bodie’s Pool.”

• Clinton County R-III School District approves $526,000 bid to build a new track around the football practice field after initial construction work was deemed inadequate. The bid includes groundwork that could one day see the gameday football field moved inside the track.
• The City of Gower considers putting the sale of its water and sewer systems to Missouri American Water Company up to a vote of the residents.
• The Lathrop Masonic Lodge honors Ralph Rupe for 70 years of service to the organization. Rupe is also a 70-year continuous member of Lathrop American Legion Post 467.
