• The City of Lathrop increases water rates to $10.60 for the first 1,000 gallons and $8.35 for each 1,000 gallons thereafter.

• The Plattsburg Fire Protection District pushes for water system improvements to lower the district’s ISO (and insurance prices for local homeowners).

• Severe storms (some claim a tornado) dump five inches of rain on Lathrop while high winds knock out electricity, cable and a window at Howard’s Market.

• Plattsburg considers options to keep its local EARTH recycling center; City council asks town’s cable provider for more channels, including TNT and Discovery.

• New VHS tapes for rent at Howard’s Market include A Few Good Men, The Bodyguard, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3.
