Five Nominated for IOGAWV Board Five members of the Independent Oil and Gas Association of West Virginia, Inc., have been nominated to fill four three-year terms on the Association’s board of directors. Election ballots are due and must be postmarked by June 6, 2018. The board nominees are: Jon Farmer, Arsenal Resources; Jeff Isner, Pillar Energy, LLC; Bob Radabaugh, S & R Gas Ventures, Ltd.; Ben Sullivan, Greylock Energy; and Todd Tetrick, EnerVest Operating, LLC. The four successful candidates will replace outgoing IOGAWV

board members: Scott Freshwater, ConServ Inc./Reserve Oil and Gas, Inc.; Doug Malcolm, D.C. Malcolm, Inc.; Marc Monteleone, Waco Oil & Gas Co., Inc.; and Jim Pritt, EnerVest Operating, LLC. Jon Farmer is President and CEO of Arsenal Resources. Farmer has been with Arsenal Resources since its formation in 2011 as one of the six original

founders. Initially serving as the Vice President of Land and Chief Operating Officer, he has over 20 years of oil and gas experience, spending his entire career in the Appalachian Basin. He previously served on the Charleston Montessori School Board of Directors and remains active in the community, chairing the Harrison County Heart Walk the last two years. He is engaged in various philanthropic activities, including Variety the Children’s Charity. Farmer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Juris Board Nominees Continued on page 16

IOGAWV Scholarships Awarded for 2018

The Independent Oil and Gas Association of West Virginia (IOGAWV) has awarded $1,000 scholarships to eight outstanding high school seniors this spring. The recipients will be attending West Virginia schools and at least one parent works for an IOGAWV member company. Since the program’s inception in 1997, a total of $155,000 in scholarship money has been presented. Kimberly Morris has been named to receive the Jim Gehr Scholarship given annually to the student who exhibits the

greatest commitment to community service. Morris is graduating from Bridgeport High School and will be attending West Virginia University. Her mother, Karen Morris, is retired from Dominion. Her scholarship will be presented during school ceremonies May 22. Garrett Jordan has been named to receive the Brian Fox Scholarship which is funded by the Fox family to recognize his life and commitment to the oil and gas industry. Talbott is graduating from Cabell Midland High School and will be attending Marshall University. His

father, Dwayne Jordan, is employed by MRC. His scholarship will be presented during school ceremonies May 17. Bayleigh Meadows has been named to receive the Rubin Scholarship. This scholarship, funded by Steve Rubin, Blue Creek Gas, honors Dan, Sam and Stan Rubin, for their contributions to the oil and gas industry in West Virginia. Meadows is graduating from Nitro High School and will be attending Concord University. Her father, Jim Meadows, is employed by Putnam Natural Gas. Her Scholarships Continued on page 17
