CAREGivers celebrate their service to Home Instead
September 2019
Some of our lovely CAREGivers celebrated long service with Home Instead York & Ryedale last month. Victoria (second left), has now been here two years, while Helen F (left), Helen L (second right) and Annie (right), celebrated completing their first year as CAREGivers. Congrats!
CAREGivers – are you budding writers? The Care Workers’ Charity like to hear and share stories from the community. Their writing competition will run throughout September 2019, inviting anyone who is working or has worked in a paid role within the social care sector to participate. This year’s theme is ‘Go Further’. They encourage you to tell them about a time when you have gone further to deliver exceptional care or together with your colleagues planned an unforgettable event. Your entry should show the realities of working in care as well as giving you an opportunity to share some of your amazing stories with the other care workers and the
general public. You could win £50 and the entry will be published on the Care Workers’ Charity website! Some points to consider: ▲ Your submission must follow the theme ‘Go Further’. ▲ Entries can be written in any format, for example: poem, short story, a day in the life, diary entry. ▲ The maximum word count is 1000, please do not exceed this. Submissions of any length below this will be accepted. ▲ Feel free to include pictures that link to your written entry. However, the text will be considered independently of any images.
The closing date is 30th September, 2019. You can submit by: Post: The Care Workers’ Charity, W107 Vox Studios West, 1-45 Durham Street, Vauxhall, London, SE11 5JH. Email: fundraising@thecwc.org.uk Online: www.thecareworkerscharity.org.uk Please include your name and a way for them to contact you, either your email address or a telephone number. Entries can be submitted via your mobile device.
