Why do we choose to live in Lafayette? There are obvious reasons of course, such as great schools, beautiful open spaces, and proximity to urban centers. But it’s really the subtle and nuanced elements that serve as the heart and soul of our town. It’s kids home from college in their collegiate wear, walking the Reservoir during Thanksgiving break. It’s the coffee and hot chocolate provided by Diablo Foods during the holiday rush. It’s children’s story time at the Lafayette Library. It’s the picturesque bounty of the Lafayette Community Garden. It’s knowing that you’ll always see a familiar face during your neighborhood dog walk. It’s knowing that you are part of a true community. I love this community, in which I’m grateful to live and work, and nothing gives me more fulfillment than helping others discover the joys of Lafayette.
