Minnesota Building Contractors | January 26 or February 18
Ever wonder what your building official is really thinking, like you’re in a comic strip and everyone has thought bubbles? Here’s your chance!
HBA of F-M’s Education Committee welcomes Moorhead Building Official Jack Nyberg to instruct the Association’s Minnesota Continuing Education classes. He brings over 20 years of experience in the field, sharing direction, insights, opinions, and much more on exterior walls, plumbing, HVAC, decks, energy code and Minnesota code provisions. The last thing Jack wants is bored attendees! Fair warning: the candy may fly. Bring your questions, concerns and issues in the field, or you might take a Snickers in the nose. Don’t worry though, they’ll be fun-size. In addition to satisfying the required 1 credit of energy, this day includes 1 business management credit. You’ll get a licensing rundown by Jack, a topic that can be a head-scratcher when trying to determine who needs what in the land of 10,000 lakes. Kennelly Business Law Attorney Jeff Gunkelman will take the candy bowl to cover an overview of contract law in Minnesota, outlining scope of work, payment terms, change orders, construction lien notices, plus more.
