Ideas For Home Bars

Stirred or shaken? The main thing is style! Everything about elegant home bars, the right wall bar with equipment, and beautiful accessories to celebrate drinks and cocktails at home.

Stylishly furnished example of L shape bar

The home bar is open! We love the wooden bars for homes integrated into a dark walnut sideboard; its brass interior shimmers in competition with the copper cocktail utensils. A very sophisticated wall bar: the retro-style midnight-blue velvet lounger with an oxidized surface and unusual patterns is ideal.

The design of the L shape bar follows the same aesthetic and functional expression that maintains its simplicity and draws directly on the Scandinavian design heritage. The shape of the wooden bars for homes invites users to sit from multiple angles comfortably, supported by the curved plywood shell of the furniture. Add a serving trolley on wheels; the home bar is always there where the desire is greatest.

The dream of perfectly furnished wooden bars for homes

Bottles with beautifully designed labels, cut crystal glass, elegant carafes and Sixties tumblers, shiny silver bowls, and mugs: the Happy Hour is just as much a celebration for connoisseurs as it is for aesthetes when they celebrate their drinks with a great sense of style. What you need for a befitting home bar and how to present it appealingly.

Furniture for the wall bar

The quickest and easiest way to the wall bar is via the furniture you already have: an accessible compartment on the shelf with a dark-painted back wall or mirror behind it, and a small lamp becomes a stage for fine bottles and glasses; space is quickly made available on the sideboard for a fine tray on which the home bar can be elegantly arranged. It gets classier with furniture that is dedicated entirely to one purpose: namely, a bar cabinet that, with several compartments, offers plenty of space for the house bar and accessories and creates an experimental stage with mirrors or integrated lighting. Display cases with glass fronts have the advantage that no dust collects on the bottles - after all, not all of them are emptied within days. And: They are not tied to a specific purpose; the offer is significant. Bar trolleys on wheels, on the other hand, which have made a furious comeback in recent years, display glasses and bottles particularly prominently - and are practical because they can be moved to where you need them (closer to the sofa at a late hour).

The right light for the home bars

Show off the fine bottles, glasses, and carafes with a targeted light. It looks fantastic and isn't complicated, for example, with slim LED strips invisibly attached to the top of the bar cabinet or showcase. Smart light strips (e.g., from Ikea or Philips Hue) can be dimmed and programmed with a smartphone. The alternative for the bar trolley: small table lamps with cable or battery, which are placed between the bottles and glasses and cast an atmospheric light cone on them. It would be a shame if the lovingly staged spirits collection remained in the dark.

Glasses

No L shape bar without drinking vessels! Of course, you can also keep them in the kitchen - but it ennobles the pleasure and makes them look better if they have their permanent place in the bar cabinet or trolley. The essential equipment includes glasses with straight walls and thick bases for long drinks, so-called tumblers. Connoisseurs drink whiskey and cognac from tulip-shaped glasses - the tapering towards the rim makes it easy to swirl them so that the aromas unfold. As an alternative with Sixties flair, there are low tumblers with crystal cuts and heavy glass bases. Anyone who wants to present their spirits exceptionally stylishly (or is not happy with the bottle design) fills them in glass carafes.

Accessories for the home bar

And what else do you need? Bottle openers and corkscrews are set - an ice cube tray and ice tongs should be included. A second pair of tongs transports lemon or lime wedges into the glass. The fruit is kept in a metal bowl. If you love cocktails, you need a mixer, sieve, pestle for crushing, and a measuring cup known as a jigger. An additional bowl for snacks (because of the electrolytes!) can do as little harm as coasters to protect the coffee table. Are you excited for the imaginative house bar?
