Thank you for attending HomeAid OCLA’s “All in for HomeAid” annual celebration. We are honored with the opportunity to serve more individuals and families with our expansion into Los Angeles and Ventura counties this year.
It’s only with the generous support of donors like you that we can develop communities that provide dignified solutions through housing for our vulnerable neighbors.
If you have committed to recurring monthly donations, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you leave tonight feeling awesome about your participation in supporting HomeAid’s mission of building a better future for our community
Sincerely,
Brandi Uehli Binns

Steadfast LA is a civic nonprofit, founded by Rick Caruso and led by the private sector, dedicated to helping Los Angeles rebuild faster, stronger, and more resilient after disaster. By reducing red tape, bringing together top leaders and bold ideas, and mobilizing private expertise, we cut through bureaucracy and deliver effective solutions with urgency, accountability, and efficiency.

Steadfast LA Foundation is committed to helping victims of the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles County rebuild their home, lives, and communities. In collaboration with modular homebuilders such as Samara and program collaborators HomeAid OCLA, LoanDepot, and Armanino Advisory LLC, through our Modular Housing Initiative, they will provide financial assistance to eligible individuals and families who lost their homes during the wildfires by providing grants to help them obtain new modular homes.

HomeAid OCLA is steadfastly committed to our mission of providing housing for our community members experiencing or at risk of homelessness. That has included recuperative care, permanent supportive housing, affordable housing, and shelters like the Family Care Center.

The Family CareCenter is a 64-bed emergency shelter for Orange County families experiencing homelessness. Opened in July 2017, the Care Center provides desperately needed lowbarrier emergency beds to families who find themselves without shelter. To date the CareCenter has provided refuge for 1,473 individuals experiencing homelessness, meeting their basic human needs for shelter, food and safety.

While HomeAid OCLA has owned the Family Care Center building, we’ve always hired outside operators to run the program. HIS-OC is the current operator and had an interest in both owning and operating the property, which provided HomeAid the opportunity to both ensure the Family Care Center remained in the continuum of care, while also attaining additional resources to further support the HomeAid mission.
With the sale of the building H.I.S. House, the current care provider was awarded the contract for FY24/25-FY27/28.

The Family Care Center is just one-way HomeAid has provided shelter for those in need. HomeAid also builds affordable, permanent supportive, and recuperative care housing, to name a few.

We’re proud to partner with HIS O.C. to serve families at our CareCenter

Our mission is driven by three foundational and impactful programs. Construction is building quality and dignified housing that restores hope and gives people in need a safe place to call home.' For Community engagement we get critically needed resources into the community like diapers, essential items and food. Through advocacy and educations we believe by starting the conversation we are taking the first steps to creating healthier, vibrant communities for everyone.
