OnlyYacht and OnlyYard Office Opens in Viareggio

Following on from the launch of OnlyYard in the Netherlands, Groupe Pastor’s decision to open up an office in the equally paramount town of Viareggio is based on the city’s position as the undisputed hub of the Italian yacht building industry. Today, Europe remains the world’s epicenter for yacht build and the Italian yacht and superyacht market continues to firmly stand tall in comparison to its other European counterparts, representing one of the by far largest with approximately 41% of new builds in 2016.* The seaside resort of Viareggio on the northern Tuscan Riviera has a longstanding maritime history dating
back to as far as 1577. What began as extensions on the banks of the Burlamacca canal was progressively to evolve from a small shipbuilding activity to a worldwide acclaimed industrial and manufacturing axis in yachting. With an office right next to Italy’s most distinguished luxury yacht builders, like Benetti, Perini Navi, Rossinavi, Codecasa, Sanlorenzo to name but a few, is testament to OnlyYacht’s resolution of reassessing its position as true experts in its field, being directly next to where its clients are. The group’s on-site specialists who will serve the Italian market have direct access to insurers at Lloyd’s, London Companies and Continental Europe, allowing its clients a comprehensive protection of people, property, information and above all reputation. The newly appointed team in Italy will be headed up by Massimo Bargagna, an insurance consultant with over 20 years of experience in surveying and insurance.
