Position Description Effective from 1st July, 2015  1) be responsible to, and accountable, to the Vicar 2) manage the Parish Office and prepare documents as authorised by Parish Clergy, including weekly pew sheets, special service sheets and the Memorial book. 3) be responsible for mail, of f ice emails, faxes. 4) answer telephone and direct as necessary. 5) maintain an up to date data base for the parish. 6) ensure the writing of cheques weekly if required and when signed post or pay at PO, make entires onto computer if required 7) prepare parish rosters. 8) answer letters where necessary and in particular acknowledge large donation, donations to building fund. etc. 9) organise the purchase of office materials as required . 10) co-ordinate the maintenance of Parish Office equipment. 11) provide support to Parish organisations as authorised by Parish clergy. 12) do Wardens/Vicars minutes, Parish Council minutes if necessary. 13) keep Marriage, Baptism, Confirmation and Burial books up to date and print any certificates if needed. 14) organise filing cabinets related to Office work. 15) Face to face with the public enquiries at the office during office hours. Conditions of Appointment. Hours: 15 hours per week at a negotiated pro-rata salary Superannuation: will be paid at least quarterly to a nominated superannuation f und in accordance with the 'Superannuation Guarantee Contribution' Annual Leave: Four weeks pro-rata paid annual leave. Long Service Leave: Pro-rata long service leave is due after 10 years of continual service. Sick Leave: Two weeks paid sick leave (non-cumulative) is available per year Workcover: The parish will pay the appropriate workcover levy Review. This appointment will be reviewed and renewed on an annual basis.
