IMPACT
A new tradition took shape during the 2024-2025 school year that is a beautiful embodiment of our “Joyful, Catholic Community,” and that is our weekly Holy Child Huddle. Every Wednesday morning, our students begin their school day by gathering for 30-minutes — sometimes in classrooms for Buddy Program-inspired activities, like reading together or playing math puzzles, and other times in our Fitzgerald Performing Arts and Athletic Center for all-school assemblies, where we say the Prayer of Cornelia Connelly, listen to student reflections by our Grade 8 students, and create joyful music together by singing. While this schedule change serves a secondary purpose, allowing select faculty and staff committees to meet each week, the benefits to our students and their sense of belonging cannot be overstated. Holy Child Huddles extend the mission of our Buddy Program by encouraging students of all ages to act as leaders and role models for their peers, and they provide our community with a dedicated time each week to express our faith together through prayer, reflection, and song. When our benefactors consider the opportunity to contribute through their time, talent, and treasure, these are the types of transformative, faith-filled experiences that you are enabling us to provide for our students.
As I present the 2024-2025 “Annual Report of Gifts” to you, I am truly grateful for the members of our community who are represented within these pages, as they have chosen to make an investment in and commitment to our Holy Child mission. Within this publication, you will also see what makes our community so remarkable: the involvement of our families, the dedication of our faculty and staff, and most importantly, the joyful opportunities that shape our students into kind, confident leaders.
From Homecoming to our first-ever Heritage Celebration to the spring play production of “Madagascar, Jr.,” our students were presented with opportunities to develop their skills, talents, and confidence, and our parents, alumni, faculty, and staff gathered as a community to celebrate these impactful moments and many more. Our spring Auction, chaired by a team of five devoted alumni, encouraged more alumni and past parent participation than ever before, raising $435,000. Beyond this incredible show of support, what continued to amaze me were the 250+ individuals who contributed their time, ideas, and inspiration to our strategic planning process through interviews, surveys, and meetings.

Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship (OSTC) Tax Credit Programs
The PA EITC/OSTC PROGRAM enables businesses and individuals to direct a portion of their Pennsylvania tax liability to Holy Child School at Rosemont to support students who qualify for financial assistance. Last year, 37 students received assistance from this program.
In the past 20 years, we have raised over $11 million, which has enabled us to offer a Holy Child education to many students who would otherwise be unable to attend.

“ACTIONS, NOT WORDS” — The motto of our Foundress, Cornelia Connelly, provides inspiration to our Holy Child community as we continuously seek new opportunities to serve others. This school year, our Faculty and Staff Service-Learning Committee introduced new organizations and service opportunities to our students, faculty, and staff, mostly notably by reinvigorating the hands-on service experiences around our annual Service Day in February. Grade 8 Reflections at OUR HOLY CHILD HUDDLES
The Class of 2025 embraced the opportunity to be agents of change and growth during their 8th grade year by being the first class of students to share meaningful reflections in front of our whole school community. During the 2024-2025 school year, we began a new tradition of hosting HOLY CHILD HUDDLES every Wednesday morning, alternating between Buddy-inspired activities in the classroom and whole-school assemblies in the Fitzgerald Performing Arts and Athletic Center. Across 15 assemblies, every member of the Class of 2025 shared a personal story about noteworthy learning and growth experiences they had during their time at Holy Child. We are proud of these graduates for leading the way to shape a new school tradition.

This award is given to a student who exhibits an understanding of community service by participating in service opportunities both within the Holy Child community and outside school. It was established by the Wankmiller family who dedicated time and effort to help those in need.
