The Holme Valley Neighbourhood Development Plan will be adopted after 3,548 - 84.53 per cent of respondents – voted in its favour on November 4. The Holmfirth Christmas lights switch-on celebration was a great success. Hundreds of people enjoyed an afternoon of festive music and entertainment organised by Holmfirth Christmas Team and funded by local businesses. The town was alive with music from the Honley Silver Band and Valley Beats. Children and adults alike enjoying a wonderful fire show and ice Queen walkabout by Poppins Presents, circus skills by Crafty Devilz, the opportunity to visit Santa with Turn Again Theatre and a parade of tinsel tractors.
