WEDDINGS

is a special place to relax, restore and indulge and we can’t wait to share it with you.
It’s an atypical wedding venue, a beautiful farm and steading set within 11 acres of wild flower meadow with spectacular views in every season, a Kitchen Garden, productive orchard, flock of fluffy chickens, tennis court, terrace by day and crackling firepits and twinkling stars by night.
We like to get to know all of our guests and wedding couples from their initial enquiry, through planning, celebrating and beyond. We take a genuinely bespoke approach to planning and creating unique and memorable wedding celebrations founded on outstanding Scottish menus and warm hearted hospitality. Our team will ensure a relaxed and delicious celebration paying attention to the smallest details.
We can host weddings for up to 38 guests in the Spring and Summer months. You and yours will have exclusive use of Ballintaggart Farm (including two super king bedrooms) and accommodation for four more guests in East End Cottage (just a two minute walk away) and optional accommodation (up to eight bedrooms, sleeping a further 16) at the nearby Grandtully Hotel. We are also working on a wonderful transformation of Ballintaggart Farmhouse which will accommodate a further ten guests overnight and is planned to be ready in 2023. We will look after all food and drink during your stay and will gladly share our most trusted suppliers with you.
A wedding really is the ultimate celebration and we aim to surpass expectations by getting to know you from the start so that we can plan and create a memorable day that reflects who you are, the food you most enjoy and your style.
We believe that the small details make the biggest impact.
If you’re interested in planning your wedding day with us, let’s talk soon.
Our style is simple and uncomplicated. The interiors at Ballintaggart Farm are neutral and calm, allowing you to add the colour palette you want to create a day that’s uniquely yours.
Simple styling from fairy lights and firepits to candlesticks and creativity is included. We will cover every detail in the planning stages so that your celebration is memorable for all the right reasons.
You can choose to get married under the dappled light of the orchard, in The Summer House (perfect for tiny weddings), on the terrace, in the western field, in the Feast Room or the Library. All of our spaces are yours to choose from.
Or if you are planning a ceremony elsewhere, you can choose to simply use Ballintaggart Farm as a base for your celebrations before and after you are wed.
Our menus are ingredient-led, seasonal and packed with delicious flavours – many grown locally or foraged from the surrounding forests, field and hedgerows.
We’d love to hear about your favourite tastes and ingredients and have put together a collection of questions (to follow) which allows us to find out more. Our chefs and our events team then work with your responses to develop early menu concepts for you and from there we work together to finalise every delicious detail of your menu for you and your guests.
We don’t believe in sample menus and create a completely bespoke menu for each event we cater for. If this sounds like the right approach for you, let us know and we will share some of our past menus. These will simply give you an idea of our modern Scottish style, a glimpse of some of our brilliant suppliers and producers and some of our favourite flavours too.
Please contact us and come to Highland Perthshire to experience our food, our team and our places, Ballintaggart Farm and The Grandtully Hotel by Ballintaggart for yourselves.
From photographers and florists to musicians and make up artists we’ll share our knowledge with you so you’re working with a team you can really trust.
We absolutely believe in extending the celebrations and would love to talk more about a relaxed supper and cocktails at The Grandtully Hotel the night before, an intimate, fun family masterclass in The Cook School by Ballintaggart, arrange a perfectly calm yoga session to start your wedding day or for the more adventurous share our favourite wild swimming spots, mountain and river guides, and walk to our secret local waterfall.
And then, there’s the day after where you can all sail on smiles and we can create a simple yet sumptuous brunch to carry you on your way. If you have an idea in mind, we’d love to help make it a reality.
