Welcome to The INFO DUMPSTER, where you can tell us about anything you want.
This month’s theme:
My name is Rod & I’m a local designer in the Metro Detroit Area.
I’ve been putting together and designing beaded bracelets for the last thirteen years.
I love finding new stones to use,
and trying out new combinations of stones, like these double row bracelets.
Come along on this journey while I aspire to make the world a little more stylish, one wrist at a time!
Welcome to The Comfort Zone, where we provide discussions and resources related to mental health.
You may have heard the phrase “spirit of the staircase” before in reference to thinking of a perfect response long after the moment to make it has passed. For neurodivergent individuals, this kind of afterthe-fact phenomenon occurs not only in our patterns of thinking, but also in the way we process all sensory input. This explains why we might not understand how we feel about a social experience until we’re alone, or why it might take a while to recognize cues that our body gives us when we are hungry or need to use the bathroom.
While neurotypicals tend to focus on the “big picture” with a topdown processing approach, neurodivergents often examine things from a bottom-up point of view. Neither neurotype is “superior,” and each has strengths and weaknesses. Unfortunately, the word “slow” has developed derogatory connotations in our society, and many people use this term to bully individuals with CPDs. Some of the pros and cons are displayed side by side on the next page; a holistic view of CPD is presented here in efforts to break down the stigmas and misperceptions surrounding neurodivergency.
This resource covers the advantages and disadvantages that neurodivergent people with delayed cognitive processing may relate to Check out more info here: https://www autism360 com/cognitive-processing-delays-in-autism/
