Gloria Swanson is most remembered today for her role as “Noma Desmond”in Billy Wilder’snoir sound classic Sunset Boulevard (1950), but Swanson during her heyday was heralded as filmdom’sleading fashion queen, as proclaimed by director Cecil B.
