QOTW: People can live together in peace if they are not brought up in prejudice Josephine Baker

Message from the Head Dear Parents, In celebration of Black History Month, this Monday we had an incredible day of African Drumming and Dance led by Mr Jacob Nelson & Mr Adama Kotey. Every class attended a special workshop and the staff even got to have a little dance too! We couldn't have had a more joyful, fun and exciting start to the week! In other news, we are absolutely delighted that our very own Mrs Conway-Boyne was able to return to HHS this week - the Office just hasn’t been the same without her. Wishing you a super weekend, Mrs Brown and HHS Team

Votes For Schools Please keep the discussion going at home. Remember, there's no "right" or "wrong" - The children are learning to argue for/against a position. This includes how to respectfully disagree with someone and calmly defend our point of view. Having meaningful discussions with your children is very important. “Votes for Schools” helps your child improve their persuasive arguing skills whilst building their understanding of the complexities of the world around them.

THIS WEEK'S VOTE TOPIC Do you want more renewable energy? (5-7) Should the UK open new oil fields? (7-11)

Can you explain what renewable energy is ? What do you think about the plans to open a new oil field? Who do you think should be making the big decisions about the types of energy we are using?
