• Stay calm and do not panic.
• Do not use the elevator; use the emergency staircases.
• If you see fire or smoke in your room, turn off the air conditioning, leave the room, and take your key with you. Do not pause to collect any belongings. Close the door behind you to prevent the spread of fire. Activate the nearest fire alarm.
• Press the emergency button to report your name, location, and the nature of the fire. Then, walk to the nearest Emergency exit and leave the building, holding the handrail while descending the stairs.
Health & Safety.
• If there is smoke in the corridor, stay as close to the ground as possible, crawl near the walls, and count the doorways to the nearest exit.
• If you smell smoke inside your room, turn off the air conditioning. Check the door for heat; if it’s hot, stay in your room, press the Emergency button on your telephone, and report your name, location, and the issue.
• Remove drapes from the windows. If smoke persists, create a tent over your head with a wet blanket.
• If the door is cool, leave your room, take your key, and do not delay to gather any other belongings. Close the door behind you to prevent the fire from spreading.
