DESIGN CHAIR

I am honored, once again, to help chair the Holiday House Hamptons Showhouse. I have been a stalwart fan of Iris’ for many years. Iris’ direction and leadership in identifying new design talent is an important contribution to our niche industry. It is very important for young designers to spread their wings and provide tactile experience to the design-consuming public to canvas their talent.

Iris’ personal life story is uplifting and her year in and year out dedication to breast cancer awareness has a profound affect in supporting research and care for breast cancer survivors.

I have been involved as a supporting designer from the inception of Holiday House and have always thought it important adjunct to the showhouse world. For too long there were scant venues to support both designers and the Trade. We, as designers, could not do this important work without support from the trade community. The showhouse provides a free press and advertising opportunity for the trade and to have direct access to the consumer.

Finally, Iris tirelessly seeks new partnerships and advertising opportunities to support the showhouses, connecting designers with companies and providing, uniquely, a support network for the up-andcoming designers!
