Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, I’m pleased to welcome you to Holiday House. It’s an honor to be at the helm of this extraordinary organization, especially at such a revolutionary moment in breast cancer research.

BCRF is proud to be the largest private funder of breast cancer research worldwide. With the help of supporters like you, we have the privilege of funding 255 brilliant researchers in 14 countries who are working tirelessly to achieve breakthroughs in all areas of the disease. Their discoveries are nothing short of inspiring.

Through the commitment of our generous supporters, BCRF investigators have been part of every major breakthrough in breast cancer research such as Herceptin, the oncotype, and TAILORx –all tools and treatments that have reduced unnecessary toxicities and provided better patient outcomes. In the last 7 years alone, the FDA has approved 15 new breast cancer treatments – 10 of them for metastatic breast cancer – based on the clinical findings of BCRF investigators and others. Thanks to research, breast cancer deaths have declined by 43% over the last three decades.

However, our work is far from over. Women and men alike are still receiving breast cancer diagnoses daily. Until the number of people impacted by breast cancer is zero, we will continue this vital work. Thanks to friends like you, we know we are far from alone in our mission.
