ABOUT HOLIDAY HOUSE
Holiday House, founded in 2008 by interior designer and breast cancer survivor Iris Dankner, is an interior design showhouse where top interior designers and lifestyle brands showcase their talent to raise critical funds for the prevention and cure of breast cancer.
Iris Dankner was inspired to combine her two passions — interior design and fundraising for breast cancer research — when she saw a lack of high-profile interior design events in the New York City area benefitting this great cause. After its inception in 2008, Holiday House became the first designer show house in New York City to benefit a breast cancer organization, attracting talented designers from across the country to transform the historic Academy Mansion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side each fall and later moving to other luxury locations around the city. Following its success in New York City, Holiday House created a summer expansion in the Hamptons and is now established as one of the premiere show houses in the country.
This year Holiday House is celebrating 16 years of remarkable accomplishments including 13 Designer Showhouses in NYC, 6 Designer Showhouses in the Hamptons, 1 Designer Showhouse in London, 5 Tabletop Events in NYC, the Hamptons and Palm Beach, 4 Virtual Showhouses with Hamptons Magazine, Modern Luxury Magazine and HGTV, and Holiday House: Ten Years of Decorating for a Cure, a beautiful coffee table book documenting Holiday House’s history from Pointed Leaf Press. Iris is also celebrating twenty-seven years as a breast cancer survivor!
Iris currently serves as a member of the advisory board of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF)while her interior design show house, Holiday House, directly benefits the organization. Since partnering with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF), Holiday House has granted over 2 million dollars to this renowned charity that invests 91 cents of every dollar to support its mission of ending breast cancer by advancing the world’s most groundbreaking research.

Dear Friends,
My favorite time of the year is finally here, which means it’s time for Holiday House to return to the beloved east end of Long Island. This year’s showhouse will come to life in a magnificent, brand new, modern estate, magically transformed by more than 20 designers showcasing their talents and creating their visions of the ultimate Hamptons lifestyle. It has been highly anticipated and will be, I’m sure, one of Holiday Houses’ most successful designer showhouses.
But let’s not forget what Holiday House is all about. An opportunity to raise funds to help in the fight against breast cancer and to raise awareness in confronting and, hopefully, extinguishing this deadly disease. I’m honored that the Holiday House supports The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), which is doing such critical work to make the end of breast cancer a reality in our lifetimes.
At every Holiday House event, I meet many people who share sometimes tragic but often inspiring stories about how their lives or the lives of loved ones have been changed by the scourge of breast cancer. These stories give much meaning to everything I do and make all the hard work and effort fulfilling and worthwhile.
This is my 16th year producing Holiday House Showhouses and I am so thankful to the design community for helping me grow this incredible event over the years. To the designers, sponsors, donors, manufacturers, contractors, painters, electricians, and so many more involved in this year’s showhouse... Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for joining me on this incredible journey. Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), I am pleased to welcome you to Holiday House Hamptons. I speak for the entire organization when I say how grateful we are to be the beneficiary of this wonderful showhouse. Supporters like you allow us to make the undeniable progress we have made in breast cancer research.
When Evelyn Lauder founded BCRF over 30 years ago, her goal was simple, and yet incomprehensibly complex – to end breast cancer once and for all. In 2024, BCRF now funds the work of more than 250 investigators across 14 countries. By supporting the greatest minds in science and encouraging collaboration across institutions, we are getting closer to making Evelyn’s goal a reality.
BCRF enables our global legion of investigators to pursue their most innovative ideas across disciplines. On average, each BCRF investigator collaborates with three to six other BCRF-funded researchers, and the evidence of their
shared work is in lives changed and lives saved. In fact, since BCRF’s founding, there has been a 43 percent decline in breast cancer deaths, and today, survival rates are the highest they’ve ever been. These advancements would not be possible without the dedication of partners like Holiday House and each of you.
Breast cancer is a complex disease, and we still have work to do. Every diagnosis puts lives at risk, and until we have every answer we need, our work must continue.

Another beautiful summer is upon us here in the Hamptons. It is my continued pleasure to assist in the service of supporting Iris in her perennial cause here in Long Island and in Palm Beach during the winter. I look forward to this year’s Holiday House as we celebrate design, summer and a worthy cause.
Iris continually brings new design talent to Holiday House. Each designer, in turn, supports our niche community spreading sage advice and design inspirations for the hamptonites who attend the various events. Last years’ house was a wonderful assemble of cohesive design throughout the house and we look forward to even more inspired house this season.
I would also like to give a big shout out to our invaluable design trade community with whom all the great designs could not be achieved. The designers have very little time in relation to a real project schedule to realize their room designs and only our vendors can make this happen. Thank you all.
Iris continues to live her life as a dedicated survivor of breast cancer and brings new awareness to our community each time she hosts an event.

Frederico Azevedo is an award-winning garden and landscape designer known for his sustainable designs and detailed custom color palettes. Award-winning CFDA designer Christian Siriano has established himself as a tour de force in the fashion world since launching his eponymous collection in 2008 following his studies in London under Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. Romina Frecha fell in love with design at an early age, studying her surroundings and contemplating ways to enhance them. Through the years, her passion for aesthetics and design compelled her to pursue interior architecture—while still a novel area in the late 1980s in her native Argentina— and after graduating from IPIM Buenos Aires, she embarked on a life of travel, observing decor and designs in more than 25 countries before settling in New York City more than two decades ago.

Lori Miller started her firm, LGC Interior Design, in 2000 with a passion to help others. Initially working as a Mental Health Professional, Lori found it important to come home to a place that was calm and soothing. “A place where I could relax and enjoy the elements of fun sprinkled about”. Soon after starting LGC, Lori developed health issues and understood the importance of having a space that is fun and functional, but most of all healing.” Delving into the heart of wellness, Lori has made it her mission to understand what roles design, materials and cleaning products play in a well-designed home as well as understanding what is important to her clients. With an innate capacity for empathy, and an in-depth questionnaire, Lori sits with her clients in an extensive process to “get in your head”. This allows her and her team to design the dream home her clients are looking for. Known for her multifarious talents, she has an ability to blend Traditional with Modern Décor. Her use of color and selection of whimsical accessories make her spaces seem elegant, bold and colorful, easily lived in yet dressed with a Designer’s eye. “This comes from my New York upbringing and my love of Old Hollywood style”. With concierge services, Lori is known for Luxury. She was recently awarded Top Designer of the Year from IAOTP, has been featured in numerous publications including, Architectural Digest, Traditional Home, BH&G and has participated in several Showhouses, most recently Holiday House and Hamptons Designer Showhouse. Giving back is important and Lori has been actively involved in both The American Heart Association and Hope Lodge as well as Designing Tablescapes for other charities. Lori truly understands the balance between wellness and design.
