The Human Resources (HR) department is involved in various employee-centric tasks within AINQA. Their immediate roles are to maintain employee satisfaction and engagement, hiring the right candidates as well as administrative tasks to ensure the continued efficiency of the company. To stay connected with everyone within the company, the HR department publishes a newsletter - PULSE OF AINQA. This monthly publication collates and reflects on useful information and events of the month.

Ho Li Ann, Human Resources Analyst What attracted Li Ann to the health technology development industry was the opportunity it gives her to expand her interest and knowledge in future technology.

Michelle Lim, Executive, Human Resources What motivates Michelle to get out of bed in the morning is to keep growing in her field, providing her family with the absolute best life possible and believing in the work she does.

Ratna Devi, Human Resources Officer A fun fact about Ratna is that she is a trained dancer, loves drawing and is an ardent baker.

Rajkumar Sivaramulu, Head Human Resources (IN) A man of few words, Rajkumar believes actions speaks louder than words when it comes to being a good leader.

Aji Augustin, Executive, Human Resources Stepping out of her comfort zone has allowed Aji the chance to grow and engage in new challenges. Her ability to cope with change is the reason she has adapted well to AINQA.

Mangala Gowri, Executive, Human Resources Always eager and ready to take on new responsibilities, Mangala is constantly challenging herself at work in the hopes of making her parents proud.

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT

A department responsible for developing and applying systemic approaches within AINQA, Knowledge Management analyses, curates and captures the best AINQAn practices and expertise. This allows future and current employees to come up to speed on processes that would be otherwise cumbersome to regain. The department's biggest win for 2021 was the introduction of AINQApedia, a comprehensive internal knowledge platform that stores content from all over the company. It is accessible to all employees.

Aain Ismail, Global Knowledge Manager Aain is passionate and a gogetter. Since joining the health technology industry she has grown to be enthusiastic about the industry. Her best career advice? Align whatever you do to your life purpose.

The Medical Innovation office researches and develops AINQA’s proprietary medical technologies, such as the upcoming International Pandemic Preparedness Centre (IPPC). Epidemiologists and data scientists work together here to analyse disease trends and other medical data, allowing comprehensive reports and action plans to be undertaken.

Michelle Chan Yoon Kim, Senior Director, Pharmacy Services Michelle believes in continuous self-betterment, because “you don’t know what you don’t know”. For 2022, she hopes the communication channels will be more open so that information can be easily accessed.

Quek Yee Theng Senior Manager, Pharmacy Services Yee Theng is always doing her best and aiming for personal improvement. This year she hopes to bridge communications between departments to improve company-wide productivity and efficiency.

Jinat Ahmed Jakir Ahmed, Junior Epidemiologist

Describing herself as a reliable person, Jinat’s strong sense of curiosity and keen interest to learn new things is her driving force. She was drawn to AINQA’s focus on innovation and healthcare transformation.

Nur Asheila Haji Abdul Taib, Data Scientist Nur Asheila, fondly known as Ella, was first drawn to AINQA’s IPPC project, which is one of its kind in the healthcare realm.

Despite being a self-professed geek, she enjoys cosplay and producing her own costumes!

Nicholas Tan Yu Zhe, Data Scientist Nicholas is unabashed that his main motivation is money, but he justifies it with his conscientious character. After completing his internship with AINQA, he join fulltime because he enjoyed the working environment and team spirit.

Kriti Srikanth, Data Scientist Ambitious and goal oriented, Kriti fears nothing more than uncertainty. Drawn to AINQA’s generosity and empathy for personnel, her greatest wish is to watch the sunset at Amalfi Coast.

Seng Weng Hoong, Junior Data Scientist

Komala, who loves collecting recipes and reinventing them, describes herself as a friendly and giving person. An early riser, Komala enjoys the prospect of working and growing with a company from the beginning.

The data science and public health enthusiast is a foodie and likes interior design. Weng Hoong shares that he values productivity and detests procrastination. He dreams of going on a holiday on a cruise ship some day.

Low Seh Hong, Junior Data Scientist Seh Hong is a disciplined chap – he does not skip breakfast before starting the day, and heads to the gym after work. He thrives on the opportunity to gain new knowledge in the healthcare industry. And guess what, he can play the violin!

TECHNOLOGY

The Technology department of AINQA is in charge of overseeing the development of AINQA’s IT products, as well as coming up with innovative new technologies for future application. Computer networks and systems such as servers and cloud software are installed and maintained by this department. In ensuring the safety and security of AINQA’s data and products, this department also invests and manages cybersecurity to eliminate the threat of data theft or vandalisation.

Besides dabbling in data, Koushik also trains in the field as a professional cricketer!

Vaishnavi Prabakarn Quality Analyst Inquisitive and motivated, she is proud to have grown into a woman of strength. For Vaishnavi, AINQA’s most valuable attractions is its flexible working environment.

Naren Subramanian Junior Data Analyst He joined AINQA with the enthusiasm to contribute to data science and machine learning. An early riser, Naren enjoys video games and evening gym visits.

Despite his fear for failure, he joyfully embraces life and wants to try skydiving someday.

OPERATIONS

The Operations department ensures that every part of the production process of an AINQA product is fulfilled. Supervision of the process ensures that all employees can systematically and effectively complete all the necessary tasks. By utilising efficient processes and systems, this department also ensures that all products are also delivered on time and without any errors.

Rajasuriya Letchimanan, Senior Analyst of Business Processes A skillful and adaptable member of AINQA, Raja harbours hopes of achieving financial freedom in the future and to show more people his fun and light-hearted side.

DELIVERY

The Delivery Department is essential in the overall project management and delivery of AINQA’s projects and services.

The team is involved in planning from the initial requirement gathering all the way to the completion of the project to ensure seamless delivery of services and projects through rectifying issues, monitoring progress, tracking KPIs and managing budgets. The team is headed by Sasi, Head of Delivery who is based in Malaysia.

Vikram Shanmugam, Project Manager Known to be diplomatic, Vikram prefers working in a team and not imposing on his subordinates and colleagues. Its always good to get out of your comfort zone and upgrade yourself, continuously learning and adapting to changes, shares Vikram.

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

The Marketing and Communications department is responsible for establishing the branding of the organisation as well as securing the company’s position in the market. The online presence of the company is maintained by the Marcomm team and is used to promote and engage in social activities.

Activities and commitments towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are also managed and organised by the Marcomm department.

The Marcomm team produces many publications for both internal and external distributions. This includes collaterals such as marketing and product brochures, product logos and infographics.

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

Chan Li Jin, Head of Marketing Communuications Compassionate and fair best describes Chan Li Jin in her role as Head of Marcom. With 20 years of experience in the media and health industry, Li Jin believes a good leader is someone who empowers and supports her team to excel.

Haresh Jayant, Executive Marketing Communications Haresh is an avid nature enjoyer and hopes to contribute to the conservation of Malaysian biodiversity. He hopes to use the experience and skills he gains from AINQA in his university studies and to develop his hobbies in the future.

Yeo Li Shian Senior Executive, Marketing Communications An experienced journalist, Li Shian's quiet demeanour belies her strong personality and integrity. Always cheerful, she is fueled by her passion in arts and the creative dreams.

Akshaan Dhillon Executive, Marketing Communications Akshaan is thankful that he was lucky enough to join AINQA back in January 2021 with hardly any work experience yet was given the opportunity to learn and grow within the department.

When it comes to engaging prospects, introducing solutions, and driving sales, the Sales and Business Development department at AINQA is in the thick of things. The dynamic team is in charge of understanding and targeting potential customers as well as organising and showcasing AINQA products continuously.

The department also manages and organises existing partnerships to track and understand opportunities better.

G Saravanan, Director Consulting Sales Saravanan considers himself a democratic leader and that has worked for him. Becoming a good leader is a lengthy process of change, and in Saravanan's case driven mostly by his willingness in taking risks.

John Bosco James, Head of Business Operations (IN) With a hands-on approach, John always engages with his team daily. Moving forward, he hopes that processes are not overcomplicated by excessive and unnecessary documentation in 2022.

Noor Anura Hashim, Manager Bids and Proposal Anura has nurtured a leadership style that prioritises mentoring without the need for micromanaging. There can be growth in an organisation with knowledge sharing and one’s own creativity and intelligence.

As everything happens for a reason, Naz believes in not stressing over things that are not in her control and that she cannot change - especially people.

Kelvin Chee Kok Seong, Senior Manager Sales Operations Sales Some of the best career advice Kelvin has received is to keep moving forward despite setbacks in life. In fact, he chooses instead to learn from his mistakes and move on.

This department manages multiple projects that includes acquisition processes of new customers. The team is involved in demonstrations, follow-ups and responding to customer queries.

They also work on securing the proposal, costings and strategies up until the product is fully delivered to a customer.

Its to ensure that customers are fully aware of the costings and strategies involved with AINQA products.

A former cabin crew, Matumalar stepped out of her comfort zone to join the healthcare tech industry. Despite being unfamiliar with the industry, she took it in her stride and was willing to learn new experiences!

Events & Activities

In the spirit of ‘Kaizen’ (a Japanese word meaning ‘Continuous Improvement’), AINQA had a series of in-house training once a week. The training usually lasted an hour, covering a range of topics on soft and hard skills. They included Understanding Programming Basics to Building Confidence, Public Speaking, health issues and more. It was a great way for staff to get to know one another better and to build team morale, especially during the lockdowns.

First University Recruitment Drive 22 February - To support AINQA’s rapid growth and development, we searched for dynamic fresh talent with new skills, ideas and knowledge. AINQA struck a strategic partnership with the Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology for a University Recruitment Drive.

The full-day event attracted 120 participants, and consisted of an introduction to AINQA, Aptitude tests, group discussions, a workshop on Business Communications and a series of interviews. AINQA recruited 12 students from the cohort.

AINQA Fellowship Goes Online 24 February - With national lockdowns and travel restrictions in place, we started the AINQA Fellowship, a monthly ‘e-party’ and the first one was aptly themed ‘Beginnings’.

Attended by 52 staff, the inaugural Fellowship provided opportunities for bonding and idea exchange. February’s Fellowship featured Cecilia and Kelvin (Kuala Lumpur), Jennifer Tan (Singapore), Sathish, Dhivya and Mahesh (India) and Aristotle (Dubai).

AINQA Cares Laptop Donation 4 March - AINQA Cares donated laptops to four underprivileged students to help them with their studies.

AINQA’s Senior Manager of Sales Operations, Kelvin Chee, briefed the recipients of the device usage and maintenance.

Two of the students, whose parents worked at the wet market, shared how they joined online classes using a palm-sized smartphone. They had little knowledge of how to operate the laptops as they had not owned one before, which came as a surprise having assumed every Malaysian would have had some form of access to a computer.

AINQA Cares Sponsors Writing Sets 22 March - AINQA Cares participated in a Back-to-School program organized by the Malaysia Association of the Blind (MAB) by sponsoring slates and stylus sets for 198 primary school students with visual impairment.

The writing sets, which were presented by AINQA’s Executive Director Mohd Rakesh Abdul Rahman, was in the hopes that it would empower the children with greater participation, involvement and integration into society.

Mother's Day Competition

8 May - We held our first competition in conjunction with Mother’s Day, wher participants submitted look-alike photos of mother and child. The contest gav us a sneak peek into some of our colleague’s family members while celebrati motherhood.

The top two winners - Malvis Mohd and Vaishnavi Prakaran -won themselves USD100 and USD80 respectively.

Meanwhile, all participants received a token of USD50 for sharing their beaut moments of mother and child; as Executive Director Ms Thavamalar Muthiah puts it – “Everyone who still has a mother today is a winner!”

Father's Day Competition 19 June - In conjunction with Father’s Day, a caption contest was held to bring AINQANs on a walk down Memory Lane.

7 participants who submitted their ‘Best Memory with Dad’ captions won themselves USD50.

A Musical Fellowship 1 April - National lockdowns and global travel restrictions have not stopped AINQANs from our monthly e-gatherings! Aimed at enhancing work dynamics and getting AINQANs from across the globe to know each other, each Fellowship carried different themes and activities.

The April Fellowship, themed ‘get to know your colleagues’, got AINQANs sharing their work-from-home surroundings during this pandemic. The fellowship ended with a hilarious Q&A session about the company and key people.

With the spike in cases and unfortunate events in India, the Fellowship in May was more subdued. We hoped spirits were lifted with the musical performances by Mr and Mrs Kana’s son Vhaylan Kanagasingam, Rul Iman Nur and Srikanth Soundararajan, ending with the announcements of the Mother’s Day contest winners.

First Buka Puasa Dinner 30 April - AINQANs in Kuala Lumpur held an Iftar (break fast) at Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort for new employees to get to know each other and bid farewell to our well-loved intern Vishaini Magandran.

After dinner, newcomers introduced themselves and AINQA’s ‘A Dollar for a Dollar’ COVID Emergency Fund was launched in aid of AINQANs in India.

17 August -The very first edition of the HR newsletter, titled Pulse of AINQA was published!

The newsletter was a hub for all people-related and HR related news including AINQAN's birthdays, significant achievements and more!

Joyous Dussehra Pooja Celebration 1 October - AINQA held a Dussehra Pooja in our KL Office, where Madam Malar cooked various super delicious Prasadham (food offerings)! Thank you for the wholesome meal! The event was also shared LIVE on Teams, attended by over 20 colleagues around the world.

17 December -The office Christmas party was our first large gathering with the reduction of restrictions in Malaysia! There was a feeling of good cheer in the office to bring in the new year! AINQANs exchanged gifts and enjoyed delicious food!
